Chapter 373 - Bob, an Arroe Gant young master, and Mor’s manoeuvres

Arroe Gant. [This was the proud young master from the Sneering Dominion, from way back in chapters 54, 63, and 75…]

Mor knew the name. And perhaps… he would serve to play his game!

Ever since a 'certain incident at the World Ball', which had involved a 'particular implement' being trapped and bent into an "L-shape", Arroe had, himself, also been somewhat out of shape.

You see, in the Sneering Dominion - as in many places and cultures - his suave swordplay, his mastery with the motif of manhood, the 'wow'ness of his whetted weapon, was considered… a dig béal.

Dig Béal was, of course, an ancient custom in the Sneering Dominion, a term of honour for the illustrious in competitions where various men of 'elite caliber' would get together, and consisted of two parts.

The first part was where they would line themselves up, and then engage in an… unsheathing competition to measure and to see who had the 'diggest bick', a term used to crown the champion of the discipline.

This was then followed by the second part, known as jirclecérk, a show of camaraderie where all the participants would gather around - often in a circle - to sharpen each other's swords, as a gesture of goodwill and support…

In the social strata of the Sneering Dominion, Arroe had formerly been considered a dig béal - even touted as having 'diggest bick' potential - but, as it so happened, there had been… a twist.

Indeed. His 'joust' with Meatius Maximus of the Jim Jun Ki Clan [in Chapter 75] had technically ended in a stale…mate, but even so, the fact of the matter was - and here, many were of the same opinion, including himself - that the whole… affair had simply resulted in a big 'L' for him…

Mor knew. All he had to do… was equivocate, and insinuate, that Valentine had thought him asinine, and then it would be too late! 

He heaped a few more hors d'oeuvres onto his plate, as he headed over to old mate - Arroe, in order to negotiate...
