Yutabi had never seen Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

It was born when Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki divided the Ten-Tails into nine separate entities.

But it was still a part of the Ten-Tails.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki had gained control of the God Tree by devouring the Chakra Fruit.

The moment Yutabi saw her, a variety of emotions rose within its heart.

"Who... who are you?"

It resisted the urge to prostrate itself and asked.

"Yutabi, what are you doing?"

Its hesitation puzzled Yugito Nii. "Now is the best opportunity. If we can just take her down, Sasame will be caught between a rock and a hard place, and we'll be able to return to the Hidden Cloud Village."

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki raised her hand with an impassive expression and waved it slightly.

Yugito Nii was instantly sent flying with no resistance, hitting an invisible wall of the sealing space before tumbling to the ground.

Her consciousness-form was bruised and battered, and she spat out blood.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki hadn't cared about her before, but then she mentioned threatening Sasame.

Kaguya couldn't help but step in and punish her.

But she didn't kill her.

She knew this was Sasame's toy.

Yugito Nii looked at Yutabi in disbelief.

She had been struck, and it didn't even try to save her?

What was going on?

Weren't they good friends?

"Yugito," Yutabi said earnestly. "Don't panic."

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's attack had made it feel a familiar aura.

It connected this to its previous guesses about Sasame.

So, this was the source.

Upon hearing this, Yugito Nii looked astonished. "Yutabi, what in the world is wrong with you?"

If she hadn't detected a trace of a Genjutsu, she would have suspected that Yutabi was under its control to be acting so strangely.

"May I ask what your relationship is with the Sage of Six Paths?"

Yutabi ignored Yugito Nii and cautiously asked Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

"Relationship?"

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki walked forward and placed her hand on Yutabi's head.

Chakra surged into it.

After a few seconds, Yutabi recoiled in alarm.

Then, without hesitation, it dropped to the ground, all four limbs in a posture of extreme reverence. "I... I didn't know it was you... Please forgive me."

Yugito Nii felt as if she had been struck by lightning.

The Tailed Beasts were all arrogant creatures.

It had taken her an immense amount of effort to forge a friendship with Yutabi.

This was also thanks to the mysterious Turtle Island in the Hidden Cloud Village, where there were trials to help a Jinchuriki become perfect.

The submissive way Yutabi was acting was simply unheard of.

When had a Tailed Beast ever behaved like this?

Yugito Nii stared blankly, completely unable to comprehend what was happening.

"Yutabi," Kaguya Ōtsutsuki said in a calm voice. "From today onward, you are the Tailed Beast of the Hidden Leaf Village."

"Yes!" Yutabi replied without a moment's hesitation.

Seeing its reaction, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki left the sealing space.

"Yugito..."

After several seconds, Yutabi stood up again and said, "I'm sorry, I probably can't help you anymore."

"Wha... why?" Yugito Nii rigidly turned her head to look at it. "Why would you betray the Hidden Cloud Village?"

"Because I never belonged to the Hidden Cloud Village in the first place," Yutabi sighed and said.

"Then... what about me?" Yugito Nii asked again.

"I'm sorry," Yutabi said, feeling a pang of sorrow but knowing there was nothing it could do.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was outside. What good would it do for it to help Yugito Nii break the seal?

It would be completely futile.

There was no point.

"Actually, it's not so bad being a cat." Yutabi thought for a moment and offered a comforting word.

"..." Yugito Nii's face went pale when she heard this.

How could those words possibly come from your mouth?

I'm a human, not a cat.

After a long time, Yugito Nii gracefully stood up and left the sealing space.

She opened her eyes and saw Sasame's devil-like smile.

"What have you done?!" Yugito Nii suddenly raged.

Having lost her last hope, she no longer feared death.

"This has nothing to do with me." Sasame reached out and caressed her cheek. "It was Yutabi's choice. I told you before that it would betray you."

Yugito Nii's body trembled. She slapped his hand away and said with a sense of hopelessness, "Kill me!"

"What? You have no one left to worry about?" Sasame chuckled. "Then what about the Hidden Cloud Village? Don't you care about it anymore?"

Yugito Nii's eyes widened reflexively.

This damned devil!

She clenched her fists.

Yutabi's betrayal had made her forget the purpose for which she had survived.

Now, reminded by Sasame, she couldn't help but laugh bitterly.

"Live on. Maybe you can still save the Hidden Cloud Village," Sasame said when he saw her reaction.

"What... what do you mean?" Yugito Nii's heart tightened as she asked, "Are you going to attack the Hidden Cloud Village?"

"Isn't that inevitable?" Sasame reached out again and kneaded her cheek. "Even if I don't act, the Hidden Cloud Village won't be able to resist."

This time, Yugito Nii didn't flinch away.

She looked at Sasame, silent for a long time.

The Hidden Cloud Village had a thriving war-loving culture.

Coupled with the Fourth Raikage's hot temper...

One day, they would surely start another shinobi world war.

Yugito Nii suddenly felt an urge.

She had to escape, return to the Hidden Cloud Village, and stop the Fourth Raikage.

Yutabi's submission had made her realize something.

Just who was this Kaguya Ōtsutsuki?

Because not even the Fourth Raikage could make Yutabi do something like this.

He could only defeat it through force, not earn its heartfelt surrender.

If the Hidden Cloud Village and the Hidden Leaf Village went to war, who would win?

Yugito Nii used to be confident in the Hidden Cloud Village's victory.

But now, she no longer knew the answer.

"Meow~"

Yugito Nii knelt on the floor, enduring the humiliation, and rubbed her head against Sasame's leg.

Without a doubt, she had decided to live on, just like a cat.

Sasame was slightly taken aback, not having expected her to be so resolute.

After all, there were others present.

Before, Yugito Nii had flatly refused to transform into a black cat in front of others.

Sasame subconsciously glanced at Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

She had a pensive look on her face.

Hmm, this was strange.

With her personality, she shouldn't have cared about Yugito Nii.

Just then, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki spoke in a cool, clear voice, "You like this sort of thing?"

Sasame was stunned by the question.

He didn't know how to respond.

Did you want to play too?

Sasame couldn't help but imagine Kaguya Ōtsutsuki as a cat.

He took a sharp intake of breath.

It did seem... rather stimulating?

But on second thought, it wasn't necessary.

This was just a form of punishment.

"You don't need to," Sasame said, shaking his head.

"Are you staying tonight?" Kaguya Ōtsutsuki didn't press the matter and changed the subject.

"I'll come back in a couple of days," Sasame replied, his body trembling slightly.

After having just gone through that torment, should he really do it again?

Who could endure that?

"Alright," Kaguya Ōtsutsuki nodded, then added, "I'm a bit bored."

Sasame involuntarily looked at her.

Those words didn't sound like something she would say.

Because as long as she had a continuous stream of chakra, she wouldn't be bored.

But now, without him, she was feeling a bit bored.

This was clearly a different kind of confession.

Sasame thought for a moment.

He really couldn't stay with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki all the time.

The main reason was the way they spent time together; he couldn't handle it.

Since she was bored, he should find her something fun to do.

"How about we play some video games?" Sasame suggested.

"Games?" Kaguya Ōtsutsuki tilted her head, not understanding.

Sasame didn't explain. He simply spent 200 Destiny Points to buy a computer and most of the single-player games from his past life.

"How's this?" Sasame used chakra to transmit the controls to her.

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's eyes lit up. "This seems interesting."

For her, this was something completely new.

She was like a primitive person who had suddenly connected to the internet, and a new world instantly opened up to her.

Seeing her like this, Sasame had a strong suspicion that she would turn into a shut-in.

But that was fine, too.

In the Land of Waves, at the daimyo's mansion.

Sasame stroked Yugito Nii's soft cheek. "I'll come play with you again soon."

[Due to your actions, the fates of Kakashi Hatake, Kurenai Yūhi, Inoichi Yamanaka, and others have changed. You have gained a total of 450 Destiny Points.]

[Due to your actions, the fates of Yugito Nii, Yutabi, and Tayuya have changed. You have gained a total of 230 Destiny Points.]

The Destiny Halo prompts sounded one after another.

The first group were all shinobi who had a summoning contract with the Ryūchi Cave.

The change in their fate didn't provide too many Destiny Points.

After all, the help of a summoning animal was limited.

The second group was relatively good.

Especially Yugito Nii and Yutabi, who gave a generous amount of Destiny Points.

This was because their fates had undergone a massive change.

In the Hokage's office.

"Lord Hokage, here is the mission report."

Yūgao Uzuki had already returned.

"Thank you for your hard work." Sasame scanned the report. There was nothing of particular interest.

The White Snake Sage was very cooperative, and no snakes had caused any trouble.

"How are everyone's spirits?" Sasame casually asked, putting down the file.

"They're all very happy," Yūgao Uzuki said after thinking for a moment. "They asked me to express their gratitude for giving them a summoning animal from Ryūchi Cave."

After this incident, Sasame's reputation had undoubtedly grown even more.

They might not be completely devoted, but their loyalty was unwavering.

What can be said?

The shinobi of this world had a rather straightforward way of thinking.

If there were tangible benefits, they would offer their hearts.

"That's good," Sasame said with a smile. "You can go rest now."

"Yes," Yūgao Uzuki bowed and left.

Soon after, Kurenai Yūhi entered.

"Sasame, I have something to tell you."

She handed him a file. "Lord Jiraiya has returned to the Hidden Leaf Village."

"A rare guest indeed," Sasame raised an eyebrow and opened the file with a smile.

It contained Jiraiya's movements.

The reason the Anbu could track him so clearly was that Sasame had given the crystal ball he got from Mount Myōboku to Shisui Uchiha.

That's right, Shisui was now the head of the Anbu.

Since the Anbu wore masks every day, no one could know his true identity.

The main reason was that the Land of Snow no longer needed Shisui Uchiha.

After all, with Kaguya Ōtsutsuki there, it was the safest place in the entire shinobi world.

As for the Land of Waves, Konan was protecting it.

So, there were no issues there either.

To avoid wasting his talent, Shisui Uchiha was made the Anbu leader.

He was quite satisfied with this position.

Sasame glanced at the file.

Jiraiya had met with Hiruzen Sarutobi.

This meant he already knew about the events at Mount Myōboku.

It made sense; he would know something was wrong just by trying to use the Summoning Jutsu.

But it wasn't a big deal.

Because nothing would come of it.

If they were sensible, Sasame wouldn't mind letting them off the hook for Tsunade's sake.

If they were stubborn, he would have no choice.

"Leave them be," Sasame said casually.

Jiraiya held a special position in the village.

It was understandable for Kurenai Yūhi to be concerned.

But after hearing Sasame's order, she nodded.

"The Hyūga clan head said he would like to see you."

"Oh? Where is he?" Sasame was a little surprised.

It had been a long time since he had a chat with his future father-in-law.

At most, he only saw him in passing when he went to see Hinata Hyūga.

"He's right outside the door."

Kurenai Yūhi bent down to collect the files on the desk.

Sasame suddenly reached out and patted her thigh.

"You..." Kurenai Yūhi was startled and looked at him, her face flushed.

"That's for you secretly kissing me back," Sasame said with a smile.

"Pervert!"

Kurenai Yūhi gave him a coquettish glare, hugged the files, and scurried away.

She wasn't angry, though.

"Kurenai," Sasame called out to her. "Your stockings have a snag in them."

Kurenai Yūhi subconsciously looked down at her legs.

On her calves, her stockings had been torn by something.

Her face instantly turned crimson.

She fled as if her life depended on it.

A moment later, the door opened again.

Hiashi Hyūga entered, looking preoccupied.

"Hiashi-san," Sasame initiated the conversation. "What is it you wanted to see me about?"

"Lord Hokage, you must know about the Caged Bird, right?" Hiashi Hyūga paused and said. "I asked you to adopt Hanabi as your goddaughter precisely to prevent the Caged Bird, but..."

"But the elders of the Main Branch refuse?" Sasame finished his sentence for him.

"The elders have been putting pressure on me many times before, but recently, they have united with a number of other clansmen." Hiashi Hyūga nodded.

"Do those clansmen include members of the Branch Family?" Sasame asked when he heard this.

"Yes," Hiashi Hyūga sighed. "In their eyes, if Hanabi doesn't have the Caged Bird seal, it's an unfair privilege for the Branch Family."

Before they had the Caged Bird seal, every member of the Branch Family was similar to Hanabi Hyūga.

But now that she was enjoying special treatment, they naturally wouldn't be happy about it.

"Hiashi-san, what would you do if you lost control of the Caged Bird?"

Sasame's question made Hiashi Hyūga freeze.

His feelings toward the Caged Bird were rather complex.

On one hand, he believed it destroyed the bond between siblings.

On the other hand, he recognized its importance to the Hyūga clan.

Hiashi Hyūga deliberated before speaking. "The Caged Bird effectively prevents the Byakugan from being leaked."

"I don't mean to abolish the Caged Bird," Sasame explained. "Rather, I mean to return control of the Caged Bird to the Branch Family."

"..." Hiashi Hyūga was silent.

"The current Caged Bird has been given too many unnecessary functions," Sasame said, looking at him. "If it's simply to prevent leaks, why forbid the Branch Family from learning advanced Gentle Fist techniques? And why keep the control firmly in your hands?"

Hiashi Hyūga opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say.

"If you've made up your mind, I can help you," Sasame continued. "However, the one who will make the move isn't me, but Hinata Hyūga."
