"Teacher? You're just a teacher?"
Upon hearing this, Tony Stark couldn't help but scrutinize Sersi from head to toe, asking with absolute certainty, "Don't you have any other identity?"
"That's right, Miss Sersi. Based on our experience, no one selected by the quiz system is ever an ordinary person," Peter Parker chimed in.
"That's right, you all don't look like ordinary people, but rather a group of people with... how should I put it, 'special talents,' but I am indeed just an ordinary person," Sersi reiterated.
"Could Sersi be like Strange, just an ordinary person when participating in the quiz, but becoming extraordinary in the future?"
Thor couldn't help but speculate.
This was indeed a possibility.
In fact, the quiz participants could be broadly divided into two categories: one was those who were already enhanced, such as Tony Stark, Captain America, Thor;
the other was those who would become enhanced in the future, such as Scott Lang Strange.
Even at the very least, they should possess unique abilities, like Coulson, Black Widow, Hawkeye, or Barton.
A simple teacher doesn't seem fitting for a candidate.
"My foolish brother,"
Loki couldn't help but chime in, "when she learned we were gods from Asgard, she showed no surprise or doubt, just complete calm. Is that the reaction of an ordinary person?"
The Avengers of today aren't the same as before, globally renowned, where everyone knew Thor.
Now, only Iron Man and Captain America are truly famous; the other members are far less well-known.
They're mostly known within intelligence organizations and high-ranking government officials; the vast majority of ordinary citizens are unaware of the others.
After all, the things the Avengers did that would have garnered global attention before the quiz were largely ignored or quietly resolved.
So, if Thor casually revealed his true identity to someone, and that person readily believed him, that person was likely no ordinary individual.
"That doesn't prove anything," Cersei remained calm. "Thor appeared on Earth, so I know."
But how she knew remained a mystery.
In short, everyone saw Cersei as a figure shrouded in mystery.
[Question: When Loki was captured by the Time Management Bureau, he attempted to escape. What was the outcome of his escape?]
[A. Loki successfully escaped the Time Management Bureau.]
[B. Loki was captured by Time Management Bureau agents.]
[C. Loki changed his mind and decided to stay with the Time Management Bureau.]
[D. Loki resisted arrest and was killed on the spot by Time Management Bureau agents.]
[Friendly Reminder: Correct answers will be rewarded with a Cloak of Invisibility;
incorrect answers will result in the random deduction of one attribute, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc.]
Amidst the discussion, the system's notification suddenly rang out, interrupting the conversation.
The first question appeared.
"This is a question that can predict the future?"
Cersei couldn't help but turn her head, looking at the question on the large screen. She had to admit, this type of question was slightly different from what she had imagined. "
I never expected it to be like this.
" Loki was slightly surprised, then smiled wickedly. "The first question is about me?"
After so long, I'm participating in the quiz again, and the first question is about me. What does this mean?
Am I truly the chosen one?
"The Time Management Bureau, what kind of organization is that?"
Captain America frowned slightly, noticing the strange "bureau" immediately. He
turned to look at the other participants, only to see their brows furrowed like chrysanthemums.
Clearly, no one had ever heard of such an organization.
"The Time Management Bureau, what a strange name. What does this organization do?" Peter Parker couldn't help but ask.
Generally, the names of some organizations often reveal key information, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Central Intelligence Agency—you can tell what they do just by looking at the name.
Of course, there are also some that are a bit more pretentious, like S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.A.S.S.A.
These two organizations are the kind whose activities are only known to those in the know; those who don't would rack their brains trying to figure them out.
But the Time Management Bureau doesn't fall into either of these categories.
Because the Time Management Bureau, literally speaking, is easy to understand, unlike S.H.I.E.L.D., which is shrouded in mystery. It's simply an organization that manages time.
But precisely because of this, the question arises: does time need management?
Does it need such a dedicated agency?
Although everyone understood the organization's name, they had absolutely no idea what it did.
The people present had a brief discussion, but didn't reach any particularly useful conclusions.
"Whatever this Time Management Bureau is, the fact that it was able to capture Loki shows it's not a simple organization,"
Thor, the carefree guy, seemed quite interested in the Time Management Bureau.
"That's right, simply put, it's an organization capable of capturing gods!" Cecilia nodded in agreement.
At the same time, Cecilia had already made a decision in her mind: after returning from this quiz, she would thoroughly investigate what kind of organization the Time Management Bureau really was.
"Alright everyone, let's wrap up the discussion about the Time Bureau. Now, let's start answering the questions."
Seeing that everyone had wasted a lot of time on the Time Bureau topic, Captain America reminded them.
"Loki, this is your question. Why don't you analyze it first?" Thor said, looking at Loki.
"If you guys hadn't been so slow, I would have figured it out by now," Loki retorted, then started analyzing the question while staring at the big screen.
"No need to look anymore, let's just choose A for this question. What Time Bureau could possibly hold me back?" Loki said matter-of-factly. "I'm a god, after all."
"Yes, you are indeed a god, but you were once captured by us mortals." Tony Stark added mercilessly.
"Is that so, Iron Man?" Loki immediately scoffed at Tony Stark. "Want to try again? I can easily shred you into scrap metal now!"
Loki wasn't exaggerating. During his imprisonment in Asgard, he had secretly brought his silver blade with him and practiced with it whenever he had a spare moment.
Now, Loki wielded the silver blade with exceptional skill.
"You can't even touch a hair on my head, while I can smash you into a pulp," Tony Stark retorted defiantly.
"Stop this pointless, even childish, argument,"
Captain America said sternly to the two, then continued analyzing Loki's point of view. "Option A is indeed possible, but we can't be certain of it, so A is on hold for now. Let's look at option B."
"Me, captured? That's a joke! That option is impossible! It's an insult to me!" Loki shook his head repeatedly, categorically rejecting the option.
"That's right, that option is indeed impossible," Thor also stood by his brother. "Loki is a god of Asgard, how could he possibly be captured?"
"The reason? Being a god of Asgard isn't a reason for us to rule out this option, is it?" Tony Stark glanced at the two and stated his opinion.
"It's indeed unbelievable that an organization on Earth could capture a god, but you've already said that the events described in the question are all real, so I'll assume that for now,"
Cersei said, offering her opinion. "Then the question arises: since the Time Bureau was able to capture Loki once, it's not impossible for them to capture the escaped Loki again."
"Cersei is right. We can't rule out option B either, so we'll have to leave it as is," Captain America reiterated.
"You can leave it as is. For me, this option is already ruled out," Loki insisted, turning his attention to option C.
Loki thought about this option carefully and decided to leave it as is.
After all, it was his decision to stay, not to be captured, so he wouldn't tarnish the reputation of the great god Loki.
As for the last option?
"That's absurd! Absolutely ridiculous! How could I possibly be killed!" Loki immediately shook his head and scoffed.
Not only Loki, but everyone else also felt that this option was highly unlikely.
Although logically, option D, which describes Loki being killed during his escape, is unverifiable and theoretically possible, everyone's first thought, like Loki's, was that it was utterly absurd.
A prince of Asgard, captured and then killed during his escape?
Did they really think Loki was a useless bum?
This ending was so ridiculous it was unacceptable.
"I remember last time we took the quiz, whoever's question was asked answered, right? So this question should be answered by me, right?"
After reviewing all the options, Loki glanced at Tony Stark and the others and asked.
Without waiting for their reply, Loki gave his answer first, "Obviously, the answer is A. My answer is A, I successfully escaped the Time Management Bureau!"
[Incorrect Answer!]
But then the system announced this.
Loki's confident expression froze instantly.
The answer wasn't A, meaning he, the great Loki, hadn't escaped the Time Management Bureau.
[Loki Odinson, the respondent, will be punished by having ten years of divine power erased. Execution immediately!]
With
this system notification, Loki's ten years of divine power vanished instantly. However, Loki didn't seem to care, only displaying a "WTF" expression,
indicating his disapproval of the answer.
"Since it's not A, then it must be C, right?" Thor spoke up, addressing everyone.
"I also think option C is the most likely," Sersi said, echoing his opinion.
Not only Thor and Sersi, but everyone else present shared the same view.
Indeed, for everyone, none of the four options could be ruled out or confirmed; no one had any supporting clues.
All they could do was compare the probabilities of the
four options. And Loki, being a god, was indeed less likely to be captured or killed than to automatically choose to stay.
Anyone else would have chosen C.
After a brief discussion, they reached a consensus.
"So, who will answer this question?" Peter Parker asked, glancing at everyone present.
Aside from Loki, the other participants focused their attention on the reward displayed on the big screen: the Cloak of Invisibility.
While no one knew exactly what the Cloak of Invisibility did, a cloak is worn, so its primary function was naturally defense.
Furthermore, the word "invisibility" hinted at its ability to grant invisibility, making it a rather attractive reward.
However…
while attractive, defensive rewards weren't particularly appealing; most people desired offensive skills. Cersei
was somewhat interested in the reward, but as this was her first time participating in a quiz, she had some reservations and decided to continue observing.
"Since this is Loki's question, let me answer it."
After some discussion, Thor finally made the decision. "I can give this cloak to my mother!"
Thor himself didn't need a defensive cloak, but he felt his mother might.
Although it was unlikely that the Dark Elves would infiltrate Asgard again, it was always good to improve his mother's defenses.
Seeing Thor's decision, no one said anything more, and everyone agreed.
"I choose C, Loki has decided to stay with the Time Bureau!" Thor immediately gave his answer to the big screen.
[Correct answer!]
This time, the answer was indeed correct.
