🦾 Are robots actually AI?

No, they are not. If you're referring to the robot-looking Players out there, those aren't actual artificial intelligences. True AIs exist in the Story World — but they cannot become Players, as only living beings can form and wield Stories.

Every "robot" you see walking around is in fact a living brain placed inside a mechanical shell — better described as cyborgs. The largest organization of such beings, the Robotum Faction, rules over one of the 13 Great Territories — the Iron Expanse.

Despite appearances, it is a nation of cybernetic lifeforms, not machines. ⚙️✨

🐾 Why can animals not exist inside the Story World?

Animals can exist — but only if they can form conscious thought. Without the ability to create a Story, they are deemed "unregistered entities," and the All Seeing Eye dispatches Editors to erase them from existence. In short, creatures that cannot narrate their own being cannot remain here. 🧠📖

So, for all you pet lovers — please, keep your furry friends safe inside their Fragments!

If you miss them, you can always revisit them in the Fragment where you first met them.

🐕 Does that mean we can't have pets in the Story World?

Of course not! You can have pets — they just won't be truly alive. Artificially intelligent animals, crafted through collaboration between the Robotum Faction and the Toy Kingdom of the Wonderlands, are freely available. The Robotum engineers the AI cores, while Toy Kingdom artisans create the lifelike bodies. 🧸🤖🎀

And thanks to our new partnership, you can now order or purchase your favorite pet directly through the Blue Trade Records!

Whether you want a glittering fox, a tea-loving rabbit, or a candy-colored parrot, your perfect companion awaits. 🍬✨🐇

💀 How does Death work in Storylines?

Death functions differently depending on where you are. In the Story World, most Players have ways to cheat or survive death a few times thanks to their abilities. But within a Fragment's Storyline, the rules are stricter — one death means ejection.

The Story System itself enforces this, since repeated deaths would destroy the drama and tension the Reciters work so hard to craft. 🕯️🎭

That said, there are rare Storylines that do permit rebirths — or allow exceptions negotiated directly with the Reciter. Always read your Fragment's entry carefully before diving in.
