When I got home, Ezekiel was already waiting.
"You're already here!"
The moment Viola saw him standing in the living room, a smile instantly spread across her face.
Then he smiled back.

How could a person smile this beautifully? It should honestly be illegal.
"Yeah," Ezekiel said with a soft chuckle. "Work finished earlier than expected, but I also just arrived."
Viola slowly peeked through the gap of her fingers before finally sighing in defeat.
"I see..."
She quickly went upstairs to change into something more comfortable before returning downstairs. Not long after, the two of them started making dinner together.
It had somehow become natural. A quiet routine she found herself enjoying far more than she expected. The sound of chopping vegetables, the occasional clinking of utensils, and small casual conversations filled the kitchen.
