"I'm so sorry, Mr. Juno… please, let me help you."
Viola's voice carried a softness that almost masked the sharp intent behind her eyes. Before he could protest, she raised her hand and let her magic flow.
A faint glow gathered at her fingertips, then surged toward him. It wrapped around his chest, seeping through his body, threading into his veins. Juno stiffened at first but then, slowly the tightness in his chest began to ease.
The pain that had been clawing at him moments ago started to fade and his heartbeat steadied. The burning sensation in his lungs disappeared. Within seconds, the agony that had nearly brought him to his knees was gone.
Viola lowered her hand, watching him carefully.
"Are you alright now, Mr. Juno?"
Juno blinked, stunned. He touched his chest, pressing his palm against it as if expecting the pain to return.
"…What did you just do?"
"You seemed to be having a heart attack," Viola replied calmly. "So I healed you."
