Chapter 42 - The True Scale of Power

Onboard the alien warship, Gid stood waiting, growing more and more impatient.

He wanted a real fight—someone who could actually challenge him.

His eyes turned to the crab-like alien subordinate who had first told him about a powerful being hiding on Earth. Gid's expression darkened.

"Don't tell me you lied to me."

"Where are these so-called strong warriors? All I'm seeing is a bunch of weak, primitive bugs!"

The crab alien was shaking. Cold sweat dripped from his hard shell as he dropped to his knees, his big eyes darting around in panic.

"L-Lord Deviluke! I'd never lie to you!"

"That huge energy spike we picked up really happened! B-but… maybe the source already left the planet!"

Gid paused. The excuse made a little sense, and his anger faded a bit.

"Hmph. Fair enough."

The crab alien let out a breath of relief—then a spatial rift suddenly tore open inside the warship.

A man stepped through.

A human.

Gid's eyes lit up like stars exploding.

"You broke through our defenses and got inside my ship!"

"You must be the one I've been hearing about!"

"Good! Let's fight!!"

He jumped to his feet, and his fists crackled with incredible Star-level energy.

Rin Yuki didn't bother to correct him.

He just smiled.

"Let's take this somewhere else."

He snapped his fingers—

Click.

Space twisted around them.

One second they were above Earth, the next, the entire warship was floating in the emptiness near Vega—far away from the Milky Way galaxy.

"L-Lord Deviluke! We've been teleported outside the galaxy!" a crew member shouted, checking their star maps in disbelief.

But Gid didn't care. He just wanted a fight.

"Finally… someone worth my time!"

"I can feel your power—it's amazing!"

His energy exploded outward, wrapping around him like a swirling storm of stars.

Yuki looked at him, unimpressed.

"My power is far beyond what you can understand."

"We'll see about that!"

Gid charged forward, throwing a punch strong enough to destroy a planet twice the size of Earth.

Yuki didn't dodge.

He didn't block either.

Instead, he opened his chat group.

And started a live stream.

[Group Notification: "Nearly Omnipotent" has started a live stream! Come and watch!]

Raiden Shogun: "Oh? This is rare! Yuki actually started a stream? I'm definitely watching! (Excited)"

Artemis: "First here! Hehe~ Yuki-kun, I'm here for you! ♥"

Huaizhu: "Coming, coming!"

As soon as Yuki went live, the chat group members flooded in to watch.

Saeko: "What's happening? Why does that guy have a tail?"

Athena: "Wait… he's attacking Yuki?"

Marika: "But why is his punch frozen in mid-air? He's just standing there?"

Seitenshi: "Huh? Who are these people? What's going on?"

Yuki quickly typed a short reply into the group chat to explain.

Rin Yuki: "They're aliens. They came to invade Earth."

That one sentence was enough to explain the situation.

Meanwhile, Gid stared at his own fist—just inches from Yuki's face.

But it wouldn't move.

It was stuck. Frozen in place.

"You… What is this?!"

Yuki smiled calmly. "Just a little telekinesis. Nothing fancy."

"But since you were planning to attack Earth… I can't let you off easy."

Snap.

In an instant, the entire warship and Gid's alien crew broke apart—shredded into atoms, then erased completely.

Gone. Vanished into the void.

Only Gid remained.

His rage vanished. What replaced it was fear—pure, soul-deep terror.

"Y-You… You're nothing like what the reports said!"

He started to regret everything.

He regretted coming to Earth.

He regretted thinking he was the strongest.

But it was far too late.

Back in the group chat, everyone was reacting to the live feed.

Some were amazed, some shocked.

Athena: "He just… wiped them out? Just like that?!"

Marika: "This is more powerful than even the First Elden Lord of the Lands Between!"

Artemis: "Pfft! I don't know who your 'Elden Lord' is, but no one comes close to our Yuki-kun!"

Saeko: "Totally agree."

Raiden: "Same here."

Huaizhu: "+1"

....

Gid, realizing there was no way out, made one last request.

"If you're going to kill me… then at least show me your real power."

"That wasn't even close to your full strength, was it?"

Yuki nodded. "Alright."

He raised his hand—

And the universe screamed.

What came from his hand wasn't just energy.

It wasn't magic.

It was the raw, pure concept of annihilation.

A force that erased not just bodies—but everything tied to them.

And in that moment—

Gid's body was destroyed completely.

But his mind… remained.

Yuki allowed it to exist just a bit longer.

Long enough to teach Gid one final, unforgettable lesson.

Gid's awareness was sent flying—not through space, but through realities.

One universe.

Then another.

Then another.

And another.

He was launched through an endless series of worlds, each one bigger than the last.

They blurred together in a dizzying swirl of color and light.

Then he reached a nexus—

A place where infinite multiverses floated like glowing bubbles in a black ocean.

Before he could understand what he was seeing—

Whoosh.

Something pulled him even farther, dragging him past all that.

Into a chaos beyond anything he could imagine.

Here, the "bubbles" weren't just universes.

They were Cosmic Pools.

Each one held countless multiverses.

And they were multiplying. Splitting. Growing faster than thought itself.

Then the vision changed again.

He now saw a Sea of Universes—

An endless ocean.

But each drop wasn't water.

Each drop was a Cosmic Pool, already full of infinite multiverses.

And that sea?

It was just one out of infinite seas.

All of them were expanding, layering, replicating without end.

Every fraction of a second, new layers of reality appeared—

One on top of another, in a structure that never stopped growing.

Gid's mind started to break.

There was no more time.

No more distance.

He had crossed endless dimensions—

Only to realize:

He was still nowhere.

Still nothing.

Just a tiny speck in front of the true scale of Rin Yuki's power.

And then—

Silence.

His mind was erased, wiped away by the same force that had shown him everything.

But what Gid never knew…

Was that what he saw?

Was just the beginning.

Only the smallest glimpse of what Rin Yuki really was.
