Chapter 43 - Becoming a Spirit

At the same time, the group watching the livestream also saw everything from Gid's point of view.

The massive scenes unfolding—the endless cosmos and the countless dimensions merging into an all-powerful multiverse—made it clear just how small and powerless they all were compared to that kind of strength.

Even Athena, a goddess herself, felt weak and insignificant watching the infinite layers of reality open before her eyes.

Raiden:"Is this what omnipotence looks like? Just a small move from him created something this terrifying. Even the Heavenly Principles can't compare!"

Artemis:"So powerful! Just what I'd expect from Yuki-kun!!! (heart eyes)"

Athena:"Even someone divine like me looks tiny and helpless in front of all this…"

Marika:"When compared to Mr. Yuki, what does the so-called 'Supreme Will' even mean?"

Seeing all the praise in the group chat, Rin Yuki let out a small smile.

He stood calmly in the vast cosmos, his gaze sweeping over the universe before he gave a slight nod.

Earlier, aside from wiping out Gid, his power had already changed the balance of the entire Date A Live universe.

Under his influence, he had erased most of the aliens—especially the strange and perverted ones from To Love-Ru.

To Yuki, those kinds of aliens didn't deserve to exist at all.

The only ones he left were the more... normal extraterrestrials.

Once the livestream ended, Yuki vanished from the cosmos and reappeared next to Kurumi and Sawa.

The moment he came back, the two girls ran over to him right away.

"Mr. Yuki, did you just make that spaceship vanish?" Kurumi asked, her wine-red eyes glowing with curiosity.

Sawa didn't speak right away, but her expression was the same—full of questions and wonder.

"Mhm," Yuki replied with a nod.

Kurumi immediately started asking more—how he beat the aliens, what they were like—and Yuki gave her a short answer, enough to finally satisfy her endless curiosity.

Meanwhile, all the countries on Earth were still trying to make sense of what had just happened.

One thing was certain: aliens were real.

After seeing their advanced tech firsthand, nations everywhere began pushing science and tech research even harder.

Some leaders even began to regret the past—like destroying entire magician villages—realizing too late that working with magic users might've been important to defend Earth from things like alien invasions.

In their rush, they reached out to DEM Company, hoping to rebuild ties with the last two known magicians.

But the reply they got was shocking—the company's founders had vanished.

The news hit world leaders like a hammer.

Panic spread.

Had the magicians found out what had been done to them… and gone into hiding to prepare for revenge?

For months after that, the people responsible for the magician village massacres lived in fear—always looking over their shoulders, wondering when the magicians would show up to take revenge.

This uneasy tension kept growing—

Until a company called Infinite appeared, changing everything.

But… that part of the story would come later.

Two days had passed since the alien invasion.

During that time, Yuki and Mio had moved to Tokyo, Japan.

Kurumi and Sawa came to visit often. The more time they spent together, the closer Mio and the others became to the two girls.

Eventually, Mio and even Ellen felt comfortable enough to show their Spirit forms and CR-Units in front of them.

Kurumi was clearly amazed by the supernatural powers of a Spirit—and couldn't hide her desire to have that kind of strength for herself.

Sawa, meanwhile, wasn't interested in becoming a Spirit. She was more focused on Ellen's magician-powered battle armor.

"Mio-nee, do you think… there's any way I could become a Spirit?" Kurumi asked.

Mio paused to think, then gave a small nod.

"You're human, Kurumi. If you want to become a Spirit, you'd need to use one of my Sephira Crystals."

"But... I'm not sure what kind of side effects that might have."

Mio frowned slightly. The truth was, she didn't really know how her Sephira Crystals would affect a normal human.

"…I understand."

Even though Mio didn't finish the sentence, Kurumi already got the idea.

Yuki let out a quiet laugh.

"Haha, Kurumi-san, you really want to be a Spirit that badly?"

Kurumi's eyes lit up right away like a lightbulb had gone off in her head.

She quickly moved over to the couch where Yuki was sitting, then leaned into him with an exaggerated pout.

"Mhm! So, do you have a way, Yuki-kun?"

"I know you must have some kind of solution, right?!"

She looked up at him sweetly, resting her body against him. Her tone and movements had a playful charm that matched the original Kurumi's teasing nature. She was still a little awkward, but with some time, she would definitely grow into that same seductive little devil.

Yuki quietly took a deep breath, trying to stay calm as both his heads started to react.

Kurumi noticed right away.

Her eyes glanced down for just a moment—then her face turned bright red.

She quickly looked away, pretending like she didn't see anything.

"Ahem. Yes, there is a way."

"Mio-nee's Sephira Crystals can turn a human into a Spirit."

"But if you use them directly, they're impure. They'll turn people into monsters."

"They have to be purified first by placing them inside a human vessel."

"But—"

Before Yuki could finish, Mio cut in.

"But the first person to carry the crystal… will die."

Her voice was heavy. There was no easy way to say it.

Kurumi and Sawa both gasped.

So... someone had to die for a Spirit to be created?

That went against everything Kurumi believed in.

Sure, she wanted Spirit powers—but not if it meant someone else had to die.

"But there's no need to be upset. Getting rid of those side effects is easy for me."

Yuki reached over and gently patted Kurumi's head with a soft smile.

"I knew Yuki-kun could do it!"

Kurumi's mood shifted in an instant. Her sad expression disappeared, and she smiled brightly.

Yuki just shook his head with a helpless smile.

Then, he looked at Mio.

"Go ahead. Show your Spirit form and bring out the Sephira Crystal."

Mio nodded and summoned her Spirit attire. The crystal appeared right in front of her.

Yuki raised his finger, and with a small beam of light, he shot energy into the crystal.

In just a second, the Sephira Crystal changed.

It now shined with brilliant light—its surface glittering like it held galaxies inside it.

"There. Now your crystals can turn humans into Spirits safely."

"You can even give them out without weakening yourself."

Yuki said it like it was nothing, but Mio was stunned.

She could feel it.

Her power wasn't just normal—it had skyrocketed.

She had reached Universal Structure Level .

She stared at her hands, surprised by how much power was flowing through her.

Kurumi was practically shaking with excitement.

"Does this mean—?!"

Yuki smiled.

"Go ahead, Mio-nee. Let's see if our little devil here can handle it."

Mio hesitated only briefly before lifting her hand.

One of the now-purified Sephira Crystals floated over to Kurumi—

And the room exploded with light.
