Chapter 25 - THE FALL OF CHAOS

Before the End — Renji's Origin

Long before the war… before the chaos…

Renji was already broken.

A child with hollow eyes… and a smile that never matched his age.

He stood in a dark room, blood pooling beneath his feet.

Two bodies lay behind him.

His parents.

Lifeless.

Cold.

Renji tilted his head, staring at them… not with fear… not with regret…

But curiosity.

"...That's it?" he muttered.

"No punishment? No lightning from the gods?"

Days passed.

No one suspected him.

"They were killed by demons," the villagers said.

"They must have been unlucky."

Renji smiled.

That was the moment he understood.

Humans were blind. Weak. Foolish.

And killing them…

Felt good.

Years later, in the ruins of a fallen city, he met him.

A presence that bent the air itself.

A being that did not belong to the world.

Kael'Zar.

"You are not like the others," the demon lord said.

Renji grinned, blood dripping from his fingers.

"I just like killing."

Kael'Zar's eyes gleamed.

"Then serve me. Not for power. Not for purpose."

"For indulgence."

Renji laughed.

"I don't take orders."

Kael'Zar stepped closer… and in that moment…

Renji felt it.

Fear.

True fear.

For the first time in his life.

"Then consider this…" Kael'Zar whispered.

"A chance to kill without limits."

Silence.

Then—

Renji smiled wider than ever before.

"…Deal."

Dark energy surged into his body.

A contract was formed.

And from that day…

Renji became something far worse than a demon.

England — After the Battle

The battlefield was in ruins.

Smoke filled the air.

Draven lay motionless among shattered stone, his body barely holding together.

"Draven!"

His squad rushed to him, dropping to their knees.

"He's still breathing!"

"We need to move—now!"

But before they could lift him—

The air twisted.

Portals opened.

Demons.

Dozens of them.

They poured into the area, surrounding the squad.

"We can't fight all of them!" Alfred shouted.

Daisy tightened her grip. "We don't have a choice!"

They prepared to fight—

Then—

Everything froze.

Literally.

The demons stopped mid-motion.

Ice crept across their bodies… spreading instantly.

CRACK.

SHATTER.

Every single demon broke apart into frozen fragments.

Silence.

Footsteps echoed.

A tall figure stepped forward, cloak flowing behind him.

President Cedric Hale.

His eyes scanned the battlefield calmly.

"What happened to him?" he asked.

Alfred swallowed.

"A demon… Varkor. Extremely powerful."

"He won… but barely. He almost died."

Cedric looked down at Draven.

"I see…"

He turned slightly.

"Get him out of here. Now. This battlefield is no longer safe."

They nodded quickly and lifted Draven.

As they left, Cedric's gaze lingered.

"…Why are they always coming for him?"

A pause.

"…Is it because of his bloodline?"

The wind howled softly around him.

Japan — The Final Clash

Back in the burning city—

Lucan stood before Renji.

Silent.

Cold.

Different.

His left eye glowed—

A pentagram, spinning slowly.

Renji smiled.

"So… you finally woke it up."

Lucan didn't respond.

He moved.

Gone.

A shockwave exploded as he reappeared in front of Renji—

BOOM.

A punch to the gut.

Renji's body bent from the impact as he was sent crashing through a building.

Lucan followed instantly.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

Blow after blow—

Faster.

Stronger.

Hotter.

Flames roared around his fists, tearing through everything in their path.

Renji blocked—barely.

Dodged—barely.

Then—

SLASH.

A dagger cut across Lucan's face.

Poison seeped in.

Renji smirked—

"…Got you."

But the wound closed.

Instantly.

The poison burned away like it never existed.

Renji's smile faded slightly.

"…Interesting."

Lucan was already in front of him again.

This time—

Even faster.

Even heavier.

He didn't speak.

Didn't shout.

Didn't rage.

He just kept attacking.

Relentless.

Like death itself.

Renji was being pushed back.

Again.

And again.

And again.

"…Tch."

He wiped blood from his mouth.

"You've grown… too much."

Dark portals opened behind him.

Five demons emerged.

High-ranking.

Monstrous.

"Let's even the odds."

Lucan didn't even look at them.

His shadows moved.

They intercepted instantly.

The battlefield split—

Shadows vs demons.

Lucan vs Renji.

Lucan stepped forward slowly.

Then vanished.

Renji's eyes widened—

Impact.

He was launched across the city, crashing through multiple buildings.

Lucan chased him down—

Grabbing him mid-air—

And slamming him into the ground.

Again.

Again.

Again.

The city trembled with every hit.

No swords.

Just fists.

Pure destruction.

Renji tried to move—

But couldn't.

Lucan floated down slowly.

Landed in front of him.

Then—

He raised his hand.

Two daggers flew into his grip.

And he began.

Over.

And over.

And over.

Each strike tearing deeper.

Each stab fueled by memory.

Lucan said nothing.

But inside—

He saw them.

Elias.

Lucan.

Reika.

Lyra.

Their smiles.

Their deaths.

Their blood.

The final strike came down—

And everything stopped.

Renji lay broken.

His body destroyed.

Blood everywhere.

Yet…

He was smiling.

"…Kael'Zar was right…"

He coughed.

"You… would be a problem."

A weak chuckle escaped him.

"…It was fun."

Silence.

Then—

His body went still.

Renji was dead.

The End of the War

Behind Lucan—

The shadows finished their battle.

The five demons fell.

Gone.

Across the world—

Something changed.

Every battlefield.

Every city.

Every sky.

Demons…

Vanished.

One by one.

Turning into dust.

Fading into nothing.

People looked around in disbelief.

"…Is it over?"

"…Are they gone?"

"…Did we win?"

Silence replaced chaos.

For the first time since the war began—

The world breathed.

Aftermath

Lucan stood alone.

His chest rising slowly.

The pentagram faded.

His shadows disappeared.

The flames died down.

The city was quiet.

Broken.

Empty.

Then—

A voice.

Soft.

Familiar.

"Lucan…"

His eyes widened.

He turned.

And there she was.

Lyra.

Standing behind him.

Alive.

Smiling.

The world stopped.
