Leah's lips curled into a faint smile that disappeared almost instantly. Selina noted that Leah was not entirely convinced—there was more hidden behind that calm exterior.
"Yes. There's no need for you to stress about it. How can we even talk about a merger when dealing with something bigger now?"
Selina's innocent grin widened. "Thank God. I'm glad things are gradually falling into place. Father would be proud of your management."
"Yeah, he would—but the proposal isn't mine," Leah interjected, her eyes cold as they locked onto Selina's, calculating her every word and movement for signs of deceit.
Selina's eyes widened. "What? Why isn't it yours? If not yours, then who?"
"William," Leah said, her voice edged with disappointment.
