Chapter 157 - Chapter 157: The Death of Shiryu

Magellan had to admit—he was totally convinced by Kaito's bizarre and never-ending list of supernatural abilities. So when Kaito casually mentioned he could help solve Magellan's bathroom troubles, the man couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope.

Even the lingering frustration from Kaito's earlier Poison Dragon stunt was swept away in that instant.

With a mischievous grin on his face, Kaito first released Kalifa from the Door-Door Space, then immediately activated his ROOM.

He strolled over to Magellan's back. As Magellan tried to turn around, Kaito interrupted him.

"Don't move. I'm just trying to find the right angle."

"The right angle?"

Magellan was confused, but obedient. Like a soldier standing at attention, he froze on the spot.

Kaito's gaze scanned Magellan's backside like he was sizing up an art installation, while Kalifa, watching from the side, couldn't stop her lips from twitching.

Finally, Kaito made his move.

With a swift motion, Kaito brought his blade down—and Magellan's butt was cleanly separated from the lower half of his body. The severed spot revealed a perfectly flat, dark surface.

Magellan felt nothing from the actual separation, but the moment his detached butt hit the floor, it gave him the sensation of falling flat on his ass.

Startled by the strange sensation, he quickly turned around—only to be met with the sight of his own rear end lying on the ground, still halfway covered by his pants.

At first, Magellan didn't even recognize it as his own.

Then, he reached behind and realized there was... nothing.

Wide-eyed in terror, he shouted,

"Where's my butt!?"

Kaito raised a hand, gesturing for him to calm down.

But really—how was he supposed to stay calm after losing his butt?

Magellan crouched down, carefully cradling his own rear in both hands, then looked at Kaito with a mix of shock and betrayal.

"What did you do to my butt?"

"I just separated it from your body. From now on, you can just place it directly on the toilet whenever you need to go. Anytime, anywhere—freedom at last."

"!"

That single sentence struck Magellan like a bolt of lightning.

"You can do that!?"

Kalifa had long given up trying to understand this day. Her worldview was once again shattered by Kaito's complete disregard for decency.

Every time he was in a good mood, he didn't just laugh maniacally—he came up with the most ridiculous, jaw-dropping antics.

But for Magellan, this was life-changing.

Finally, his long-standing issue was solved.

From now on, he could truly say: his body might be in the office, but his ass would be outputting from the toilet!

Clutching his rear with gleaming eyes, he turned to Kaito.

"I can't thank you enough! I'll go place it in the restroom right now. Do whatever you want here—whether you have the key or not doesn't matter for you anyway!"

Without waiting for a reply, Magellan bolted out of sight, still carrying his butt.

As Kaito watched him disappear down the corridor, he chuckled and turned to Kalifa.

But the moment Kalifa caught his gaze, she instinctively took two steps back... and even cast a suspicious glance at Kaito's hand.

That reaction made Kaito pause.

"Kalifa, what are you doing?"

"Boss... maybe you should wash your hands. I mean, Magellan lives in the toilet. His butt must be kind of..."

Kaito's face darkened instantly.

Sure, he had just performed a butt-separation procedure—but he never actually touched the thing! His hands were clean!

He'd only used a slicing motion in midair—there wasn't even direct contact!

Did she really have to look at him like that?

The more he thought about it, the more annoyed he became. He stepped up and pulled Kalifa into his arms.

She gave a token struggle, then quickly settled down in his embrace. She'd just been messing with him a little.

Satisfied that his mischievous secretary had calmed down, Kaito smiled and, still holding her, began casually strolling through the dreaded Infinite Hell.

Wherever the two passed, silence reigned in the surrounding cells.

No weaklings were imprisoned here. The criminals locked away in Infinite Hell had their own ways of sensing the disturbances and battles that had taken place recently.

They could feel it—one familiar and powerful aura after another had vanished from their perception.

Even these lawless monsters now felt a chill rising from their very souls.

And now Kaito was walking past them like it was a casual stroll?

Of course they understood—this man was the root of everything.

No one said a word. No one dared.

No one wanted to be the next to mysteriously disappear.

But... there are always some fools who dream impossible dreams.

As Kaito passed a certain cell with Kalifa in his arms, a cold voice came from within.

"Truly worthy of the title Marine Admiral. Release me. I'm willing to serve under you."

"Hm?"

Kaito raised a brow and turned toward the cell.

Inside sat a burly man in a prison uniform.

Of course Kaito recognized him—Shiryu of the Rain, ex-Head Jailer of Impel Down.

This guy was the definition of a backstabber. In the anime, he pretended to side with the prison, then handed over the antidote to Blackbeard and joined his crew, becoming a full-fledged pirate.

He was also a murderous lunatic who, while acting as Head Jailer, liked torturing and slaughtering inmates for fun.

Not only that—he even turned on his own comrades. That was the final straw that led Magellan to lock him up here.

Just thinking about it made Kaito's gaze turn colder.

But Shiryu, oblivious, continued speaking.

"I'm the former Head Jailer, Shiryu of the Rain. I got locked up over a minor issue. I'm done with that life. Let me out—let me join the Marines. I swear, I'll be your most loyal subordinate!"

Kaito sneered.

"I don't take in trash."

"Nani?!"

Fury contorted Shiryu's face as he jumped up—only to realize Kaito was already standing right in front of his cell.

To his credit, Shiryu reacted quickly. Even with shackles still on his wrists, he swung both arms straight at Kaito.

Boom!

In the next instant, Shiryu was flung backward like a ragdoll, crashing hard into the wall behind him. His body embedded into the stone like a human crater.

"Ugh—!"

A mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips. Shiryu felt his insides torn to shreds from the impact. Trembling, he looked up at Kaito, terror plain in his eyes.

Kaito, meanwhile, casually pulled a coin from his pocket, toyed with it in his hand, then pinched it between thumb and forefinger, aiming it right at Shiryu.

A bad feeling surged through Shiryu's heart. Panic rising, he shouted,

"You can't do this to me! I'm still the Head Jailer! I—mgh! coughcough—"

Before he could finish, Kaito flicked the coin.

It flew straight into Shiryu's mouth and dropped into his stomach.

Shiryu coughed violently, but forced himself to rasp out one last desperate protest.

"I'm a swordsman! I don't even have a sword right now! Give me a blade—let me fight you!"

Thanks to his keen hearing and exceptional Haki, Shiryu had a vague idea of what happened in Bullet's cell earlier. He was still hoping for one last chance.

But Kaito didn't even spare him a glance.

"You think you're worthy?"

"No—!"

Boom!

Shiryu exploded against the wall like a bomb of red paint, a grotesque mural of gore spreading across the prison cell's surface.

All that remained of him...

...was a giant coin embedded in the wall, five meters wide.
