The next day, after resting for the night, Nico Robin couldn't wait to show up in front of Lin Xuan, eager for him to take her to Ohara.
Lin Xuan could tell at a glance that she hadn't slept at all because of her excitement about returning to Ohara. She didn't look well-rested at all.
It made sense—after years of being hunted down, the name "Ohara's Nico Robin" had become a curse. She never dared to go back, especially since the place held so many painful memories. She didn't even allow herself to think about returning.
Now, with Lin Xuan backing her up, she finally felt like she could make the trip.
What surprised Lin Xuan was that, despite her obvious eagerness to leave right away—she'd even packed her bags—she hesitated when she saw him and said, "President, the World Conference is just ten days away. Wouldn't it be inconvenient to head to Ohara now? Maybe we should wait until after it's over?"
She knew the journey from the Sabaody Archipelago to Ohara was long, possibly taking months, and the upcoming World Conference, co-hosted by the Ninja Guild and the Revolutionary Army, was crucial. That's why she suggested delaying.
Lin Xuan just smiled faintly and replied, "No need. A trip to Ohara isn't as difficult as you think!" He pointed at the backpack on her shoulder and added, "You don't need to bring that. We'll be back in no time—it won't take long at all!"
Nico Robin was stunned by his words. It wouldn't take long? What did he mean?
Still, she followed his instructions and set the bag down.
Truth be told, she wasn't that delicate; she could survive just fine without those things, even out at sea.
But in the next moment, she realized how wrong she was.
As soon as she put down the bag, Lin Xuan gently placed a hand on her shoulder. In an instant, her vision blurred.
When she regained her bearings, she was horrified to find that they were now in an unfamiliar sea area, standing right at the entrance of a naval fortress!
What was going on?
How had they suddenly ended up here?!
Nico Robin was utterly shocked.
It wasn't just the fact that Lin Xuan had transported her to another place in an instant that stunned her—it was that he'd brought her straight to a naval base!
She even wondered if he was planning to turn her in for the bounty!
It was understandable; deep down, she still harbored some wariness and couldn't fully trust Lin Xuan and his group right away. Having such thoughts was only natural.
Lin Xuan noticed her suspicion but didn't blame her. He just smiled calmly and said, "This is the Navy's G-18 Branch!"
Those words hit Nico Robin like a thunderbolt!
She stared at him in disbelief and stammered, "G-18 Navy Branch? Isn't that in the West Blue...?"
"Exactly!"
Lin Xuan didn't wait for her to finish and confirmed it right away. "This is the naval branch closest to Ohara. I didn't know Ohara's exact location, so I teleported us here first."
Nico Robin's breathing grew rapid.
She could hardly believe what he was saying. From what she knew, the G-18 Branch was only about two hundred nautical miles from Ohara!
She'd never imagined they could instantly jump from the Sabaody Archipelago right to the vicinity of Ohara!
From the information she'd gathered before, she knew some members of the Ninja Guild could perform instant movement, but she'd never heard that Lin Xuan could cover such vast distances in a blink!
Yet now, she had no doubts left.
At first, she wondered if he was exaggerating, but when she heard the alarm sirens blaring from inside the naval branch, she knew it was real.
"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on Navy G-18 Branch? Surrender immediately, or we'll open fire!"
As the voice rang out, Nico Robin could hear the pounding of numerous footsteps rushing toward them, along with the clatter of guns and cannons being readied.
In that moment, her nerves were on edge. She turned to Lin Xuan anxiously and said, "Pr-President, we should get out of here now!"
Lin Xuan shook his head. "It's fine. These marines won't dare make a move. Just tell me where Ohara is first!"
Nico Robin was baffled.
The marines wouldn't dare? She found it hard to believe.
But as they spoke, a horde of marines charged out, armed to the teeth, and quickly surrounded them.
Seeing this, her panic only grew.
Lin Xuan merely glanced at the marines and ignored them, turning back to ask Nico Robin again, "What are you spacing out for? Where's Ohara? Let's go there and head back!"
His voice snapped her out of it. She opened her mouth but didn't know what to say.
Just then—
"You... you're Lin Xuan?"
"What?! The president of the Ninja Guild, Lin Xuan?!"
"How is that possible? Why would he show up at our G-18 Branch? What does he want?!"
Shocked exclamations erupted from all around, pulling Nico Robin back to reality.
She scanned the surrounding marines and was astonished to see that they looked even more panicked than she felt.
It seemed like facing Lin Xuan terrified them more than being surrounded by marines terrified her!
Finally, Nico Robin's anxiety eased. She took a deep breath, steeled herself, and pointed in a direction. "It's that way. Just over two hundred nautical miles from here!"
Lin Xuan nodded. "Alright, let's go!"
With that, he teleported again with Nico Robin, vanishing in an instant and leaving behind a chaotic naval branch.
"They disappeared? Was that an illusion?"
"No, that was definitely Lin Xuan!"
"They mentioned going to Ohara? And the woman with him looked like Nico Robin!"
"What?! Quick, report this to Navy Headquarters immediately! Lin Xuan must be up to something big again!"
