Kakashi immediately body flickered to the garden of the mansion where he saw a blue-skinned man wearing metallic armor.
His sharingan narrowed as he took in the figure standing there. The man was tall. Broad-shouldered. Covered head to toe in ancient-looking armor that gleamed with a strange purple-blue sheen.
'Blue skinned. I have seen so many of them in this world and I have not seen even one in my previous two worlds' experience,'
Kakashi thought jokingly trying to ease his own nerves.
Because he could tell that the man in front of him was as strong as old age Odin if not stronger.
'This is going to be troublesome,' he thought.
He asked in a calm voice, "Who are you?"
As he asked that, the other Avengers as well as the X-Men burst out of the door. Tony's suit was already wrapping around him. Cap raised his shield. Natasha drew her batons.
The X-Men spread out. They formed a defensive line in front of the school.
The blue man turned slowly. His glowing eyes swept over the group. He spoke, "Elohim. Shen. Ra. I have been called many names over many lifetimes. My birth name is En Sabah Nur. But you can call me Apocalypse as many in the past called me. I am born of death. I was there to spark and fan the flame of man's awakening, to spin the wheel of civilization. And when the forest would grow rank and needed clearing for new growth, I was there to set it ablaze."
Tony interrupted him. "He is a melodramatic one. Is not he?"
Apocalypse turned his head toward Tony. His eyes narrowed. "You interrupted me?"
With a flick of his finger, he sent Tony flying. The repulsors in Tony's suit flared as he tried to correct his flight path. He crashed through a hedge and rolled across the grass. His armor sparked. But he was already getting up.
'Telekinesis. And this one has it much stronger than the Jean girl,' Kakashi thought. He was sure that Tony's armor would keep him mostly uninjured from the crash.
Kakashi asked, "What do you want?" He signalled everyone to not attack yet. His hand stayed near his pouch.
Apocalypse looked at him. "Mutants to once again become the strongest. To once again rule the world and the inferior species to know their place."
Mystique was already trembling as she muttered that he was the one that took Erik and other mutants of the Brotherhood. Her voice shook. "You… you took Erik. Pyro. Sabretooth. Where are they?"
Apocalypse smiled. It was not a pleasant smile. "Your friend Erik has already joined me in my cause."
He turned to Charles. "And as for why I am here…"
He pointed a finger to Charles.
"I am here for him. Your friend Erik had a lot of things to say about your ability. I am impressed and now you would follow my cause."
"Your body would have the honour to serve my soul. Be grateful because with your help would allow me to 'be everywhere, be everyone'."
Kakashi thought, 'Oi oi oi. Is this guy like Orochimaru of this world?' The thought almost gave him shivers.
Orochimaru had wanted immortality through body swapping. And he had done quite a lot of body switching.
Banner said, "I think he means that by taking over Charles' mind, he could control everyone with his mind in the world. He said be everyone, be everywhere. With Charles' mind, he could control every mind Charles could reach."
Kakashi thought,'Yeah, We can't have that happen. If he controls Magneto's daughter, who is to say that he won't break reality barriers once again to step foot into another universe.'
Mystique shouted but with a little fear as she trembled, "Where did you take Erik and the others?"
Apocalypse looked at her. "I have given your friends the honour to serve me as my horsemen. Now would you come with me peacefully?" He asked Charles.
Scott stepped forward. "Like hell we will let you take the professor."
He fired a laser beam from his eyes. The red blast cut through the air like a blade.
A blue barrier formed around Apocalypse that completely blocked the beam. The energy scattered harmlessly across the shield.
"Very well," Apocalypse said.
He gathered some kind of purple energy around his armor's gauntlets. The energy swirled and grew. It formed into a massive blast. He fired it toward them. The purple wave roared forward. It tore up the lawn as it moved.
Kakashi knew that they could not afford to dodge with the school behind them. The mansion would be destroyed. The children inside would die.
Kakashi shouted, "Get away, I will deal with this!"
The Avengers and X men scattered to dodge the blast coming their way trusting Kakashi.
He immediately activated his Susanoo. The blue energy warrior rose around him in an instant. Ribs formed first. Then arms. Then the full armored body. Wings spread wide.
Kakashi extended its protection. The energy armor enveloped those near him that would not be able to dodge the blast. It formed a dome around them. The purple blast hit the Susanoo's chest. The impact shook the ground.
The blast spread across the Susanoo. Then it faded. The mansion behind them stood untouched. The children inside were safe.
As the explosion cleared, there was no sign of Apocalypse.
"Charles!!" Hank shouted.
And it seemed like there was no sign of Charles as well.
