Charles Seymour glanced at Kai Bright like he was looking at an idiot: "How could you think that?"
"Don't you understand Sophie's temper?" Charles asked.
Kai Bright frowned: "Sophie is bold in love and hate, and her personality... sometimes elusive. Wasn't it that you weren't worried when you confessed to her?"
At first, Kai Bright was seriously pondering, but the more he spoke, the more aggrieved he felt.
How was his guess wrong?
Why did Charles look at him like he was an idiot?
Where was he an idiot?
"I was worried," Charles sighed lightly.
"Then why did you say it? Aren't you afraid Sophie would run away?" Kai Bright exclaimed.
The corners of Charles's lips suddenly lifted a bit, not much, but indeed he was smiling. However, this smile gave Kai Bright the creeps.
"If she runs away, I'll just bring her back," Charles stated confidently.
"What if you can't bring her back?" As soon as Kai Bright said this, he wished he could slap himself for speaking unnecessarily.
