Hou Baiyu heard someone calling his name, and with a calm glance, looked over to find it was this woman. He then withdrew his gaze.
Completely ignoring her made Nie Jiaqi feel embarrassed. If it were just the two of them, she naturally wouldn't have minded. But just now, she clearly saw the tenderness in Hou Baiyu's eyes, leaving her unable to stay calm.
"Who is this girl?" Nie Jiaqi asked Hou Baiyu coldly, glancing at Luo Yixuan.
Hou Baiyu was slightly surprised, "What does who she is have to do with you?"
"You..." Nie Jiaqi stared at Hou Baiyu in disbelief, the surprise on his face not feigned. Clearly, he truly believed it had nothing to do with her.
Indeed, Hou Baiyu, like her brother, was a favored child of Heaven, proud and with high aspirations. Her questioning must have made him feel disrespected, hence his reaction.
Understanding this, Nie Jiaqi took a deep breath to suppress her anger, quickly controlling her emotions, and lowered her eyes.
