"I'm fine, really fine." Mason Nightshade raised his hand to wipe away the tears on Aurelia Shaw's face. He had never known before just how easily his woman could cry.
He also never knew how much it hurt him to see her cry.
"Really, I'm fine, it doesn't hurt." Mason tenderly kissed her cheek, his tongue tasting the bitterness of her tears, and he sighed, "Compared to the pain of the injury, seeing you cry hurts me more."
Aurelia stood up, wiped her tears, and turned her gaze to Junia Simpson, "Dr. Simpson, I'm counting on you."
"Rest assured, sister-in-law." They were still habitually calling Aurelia sister-in-law.
Because they could tell how Mason felt about her, in this lifetime, the only person who could be Mason's woman, who could be their sister-in-law, was Aurelia.
