Junia Simpson bent down to hold the cat, but before her hands could touch a single hair, the white cat meowed, turned around, and jumped out of the window.

Startled, Junia Simpson looked outside, only to see the cat nimbly jumping along the ledge and deftly leaping to the ground.
Soon, it disappeared into the night.
"What a strange cat," Junia Simpson murmured softly.

The white cat weaved through the crowd, jumping into the arms of a man, obediently licking his fingers affectionately.
The man was dressed in a deep black suit, his entire presence enveloped in gloom. He wore silver earrings and a ring with a complex pattern on his thumb, his red eyes gleaming wickedly with a malevolent allure, his thin lips curving into a sinister, chilly smile.
Alaric Wood lifted his gaze, watching the direction in which Aurelia Shaw departed.
"Du, I'm here to take you away."
