Three Guards were dragging a laborer's corpse, walking out, when suddenly the sound of crying erupted. A woman's figure stumbled forward, followed by a young child. Unlike the other yellow and emaciated people nearby, the woman and child had a hint of blood color on their faces. They stared at the man's blood-covered corpse, momentarily frozen in place.
Clang!
The obese Guard drew his weapon and slapped the woman who lunged forward to the ground, a gush of blood instantly flowed from the woman's forehead.
A Guard stopped the woman, glanced at the time, and said in a deep voice, "Hurry up and deal with the corpse."
The other two Guards nodded, turned, and dragged the corpse towards the Great Tomb.
The woman lay helplessly on the ground, watching her husband's corpse being dragged away. She curled up on the filth-covered ground, tears having long blurred her eyes.
No one knows how much time had passed.
