UK:GSW Chapter 379 – Dark Obito's Forces Annihilated, Black Zetsu About to Suffer White Zetsu's Ultimate Humiliation
Dark Obito had been utterly defeated — battered all over and wrapped from head to toe in more than thirty-two layers of sealing techniques, to the point where he could barely even twitch.
Although he was undeniably powerful, and had once been the de facto "final boss" before Uchiha Madara's appearance — roaming the ninja world unchallenged thanks to the unique and bizarre space-time ability of his Kamui Mangekyō Sharingan — in the end, before transplanting Madara's Rinnegan, he could not escape one of the most important early-stage truths in the Naruto world:
Ninja battles are, above all, battles of intelligence.
Without the overwhelming power boost of the Rinnegan, and before controlling multiple Jinchūriki and Tailed Beasts as his own Six Paths of Pain, Dark Obito's head-on combat ability was actually fairly average — and he had glaring weaknesses.
Now that his identity had been exposed early and every detail of his abilities leaked to the world by Uchiha Kei, facing elite ninja who had prepared countermeasures in advance, his only fate was a crushing defeat.
For example — his Kamui intangibility was completely neutralized by "Warhammer 40K–Returnee" Kakashi Hatake, who used his own Kamui Mangekyō to cancel it out. Minato Namikaze and an older Jiraiya, both having prepped their attacks before arriving via Flying Thunder God, immediately launched a coordinated assault upon arrival, hammering Obito without giving him the slightest chance to fight back.
On top of that, sealing techniques had already been proven effective against Dark Obito in the original story — so the two sealing masters, Minato and Jiraiya, attached sealing jutsu to their strikes, stacking every possible debuff on him.
Thus, after nearly twenty years of stirring up chaos in the ninja world and standing on the brink of becoming the ultimate big boss to launch the Fourth Shinobi World War… Dark Obito collapsed before his moment of glory even arrived.
"Damn it!!! Why? Why? Why is this happening? This is fake! Fake! All of it's fake! Yes — it must be genjutsu! Definitely genjutsu! There's no way I'm wrong — I'm under a genjutsu right now!"
"Aaaahhh~~~ fake! Everything's fake!!! This whole world is fake!! Infinite Tsukuyomi! Infinite Tsukuyomi!!"
Dark Obito's hysterical screaming made him look like he had suddenly gone insane.
The moment he saw Minato alive, his mind took a heavy blow. Then, when Kakashi ruthlessly countered his Kamui intangibility with his own Mangekyō, leaving Obito vulnerable to Minato and Jiraiya's unrelenting sealing attacks — even sealing away his Sharingan and chakra — his mental state completely collapsed.
It was as if a massive psychological dam had burst, sending him into a full-on breakdown.
Seeing him like this, older Jiraiya couldn't help but sigh. After all, he had seen Obito as a boy — a good kid, unlike most Uchiha, who might even have become the first Uchiha Hokage.
With that personality, he could have gained the trust and support of the Third Hokage, the younger generation including Minato, and even his peers — the kind of charisma that united people.
In classic terms, young Obito was the perfect embodiment of the Will of Fire — something even Masashi Kishimoto himself essentially confirmed. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, when Obito and Naruto clashed in their minds, Obito envisioned himself as the Fifth Hokage — showing that, without his descent into darkness, such a future was entirely possible.
Thus, Jiraiya's regret was genuine.
Minato felt the same — though his emotion leaned more toward melancholy. He had never imagined that his most trustworthy student would one day fall into such disgrace.
Truly, as Kei had said, nearly all Uchiha had the potential for mental instability — once they awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan through trauma, they each had their own brand of madness.
Someone like Uchiha Kei, who could awaken the Mangekyō and still remain sane, was rare.
And even Kei wasn't entirely normal — he was certainly more of a prankster now than before. Still, being a prankster was far better than being a lunatic, and at least Kei's antics brought laughter rather than destruction.
As for Kakashi — his eyes toward Dark Obito were complicated, almost like a pie chart of emotions come to life. But in the end, his gaze turned icy, radiating lethal intent.
If they hadn't agreed beforehand to take Obito alive for trial, Kakashi would likely have executed him on the spot — the Warhammer 40K way.
In short, utterly loyal to the mission.
Nearby, the new Team 7 looked satisfied at a mission well-accomplished. Their orders had been simple — trap Dark Obito, delay him, and hold out until reinforcements arrived to capture him.
It had even been classified as two S-rank missions — a prestigious addition to their records.
To Sakura Haruno and Sai, Dark Obito was simply an evil, terrifying enemy — nothing more.
To Naruto Uzumaki, however, Obito was his undisputed nemesis.
Unlike in the original story — without the Fourth War's events, and with a more mature outlook — Naruto felt only hatred toward Obito. There would be no "don't laugh at Obito" speeches this time.
If given the chance, Naruto would have preferred to personally crush Obito to avenge his parents and his own childhood. But since Obito was already slated for trial and eventual execution, he simply accepted that his enemy would live a little longer.
"So… this means the Uchiha Clan of this world is basically gone…"
Naruto's voice was low, his mood a mix of resignation and sadness.
Although Sasuke still remained, recent news from the main world revealed that Sasuke had been taken there — and after learning the full truth, he intended to return only to wrap things up, then move to the main world permanently.
Compared to this bleak World No. 2 — with its two remaining "supreme-grade lunatics" — the main world was the true home of the Uchiha Clan. As the last Uchiha here, Sasuke wanted to end the clan's tragic fate and then live in a better world.
This was his own decision — unlike in the original world, where he had no choice but to wander in solitude as part of his atonement.
Here, he had committed no great crimes, carried no burden of guilt, and was drawn to the main world's thriving Uchiha community.
Especially after learning all that had happened in World No. 2, Sasuke had no desire to stay. His resolve was clear — after fulfilling his final duty here, he would go to the main world and protect his clan, ensuring tragedy would never repeat itself.
This request he made directly to Uchiha Kei.
Though surprised, Kei eventually agreed — seeing the hope and determination in Sasuke's eyes.
After all, with the two worlds connected, Sasuke no longer needed to bear such heavy responsibilities. And for the main world's Konoha, another Uchiha — even one scarred by loss — would not be unwelcome. In such a lively and warm clan atmosphere, his heart would surely heal.
In fact, Kei half-joked that if the Uchiha in the main world kept being too cheerful, they might turn into the "Red-Eyed Clan" from a gag series — the infamous Crimson Demons.
These developments had been shared with the others. Naruto was sad, but happy for Sasuke — mature enough to know this was the best outcome for him. He could no longer selfishly demand Sasuke stay for the sake of "bonds."
It wasn't like they'd never meet again — with his mastery of Flying Thunder God, Naruto could simply visit Konoha in the main world anytime.
Sakura Haruno felt the same, though her sadness ran deeper. She knew that once Sasuke moved to the main world, they would never be together — but after the pain faded, she too wished him happiness.
At this point, Minato knocked Dark Obito unconscious and said, "Wait here — I'll go see Sasuke." With that, he vanished in a flash.
Hearing Sasuke's name, both Naruto and Sakura tensed, while Sai's eyes glinted thoughtfully.
Before long, Minato returned — bringing with him Team Snake and an unconscious Kisame Hoshigaki.
Uchiha Itachi had already been captured by Sasuke and teleported away with Reverse Summoning, so there was nothing left to worry about. Kisame was unharmed but freshly sealed — courtesy of Minato — and knocked out by Sasuke himself.
After defeating Itachi, Sasuke had rejoined his team, where Kisame had been blocking their path. Sasuke caught him off guard with a Mangekyō genjutsu before knocking him out cold.
Then, White Zetsu loyal to Kei emerged, reporting that all hostile Zetsu in the area had been eliminated. Even Afei — the oddest of them — had been captured by three elite White Zetsu.
That was when Minato arrived and transported Team Snake and the two Akatsuki captives here.
"Sasuke…" (Naruto & Sakura, in unison)
"…Naruto, Sakura… sorry. I said some awful things the last time we met."
Naruto and Sakura were both stunned — Sasuke apologizing was unheard of. The last time they'd met, he'd been cold and dismissive, nothing like the calmer, warmer person before them now.
Sasuke simply said, "Uncle Kei taught me some things that helped me grow. What I seek now is completely different from before — and I've fulfilled my duty as the last Uchiha of this world."
His eyes flicked to Kisame, then to Dark Obito, narrowing with a flash of killing intent — quickly suppressed. He knew both men were doomed; judgment would come soon enough.
Then, the former Team 7 spoke together — not with hostility, but with nostalgia for their lost youth, and the bittersweet knowledge that those days would never return.
Soon after, Minato activated Flying Thunder God again, taking everyone back to Konoha of World No. 2 — where Danzo Shimura's public trial was about to begin.
Meanwhile, Black Zetsu was facing his greatest crisis.
Three elite White Zetsu — the most formidable of Kei's loyal faction, blessed personally by him — had surrounded him.
Today, these three legendary White Zetsu, each with their own "boss music," were going to deliver the ultimate humiliation to World No. 2's Black Zetsu.
And to Black Zetsu's horror, even Afei — whom he had entrusted to monitor the Uchiha brothers' battle — had been captured by them.
