Chapter 224 - C224 : Aftermath (8)

After the utter shock Hermes got, after sensing the sheer volume of arcanum currently bottled up, he nervously started chuckling.

"Anyway, we're about to start the naming of all those who leveled up to 5 or higher. Why not stick around and watch the show."

"I'd like to, but it's for the best if I get out of here, I only dropped by to assuage the nonsense being spoken around here."

Shurry waived, and turned around to leave, his status displaying only his level. An incredibly odd situation all things considered since his status couldn't be updated, yet his abilities were all hidden.

"Mother, call for me whenever you need."

"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about your level up to level 9. Besides, you're getting a new title today regardless."

Hathor said with a smirk, and a smile.

"Alright, try not to make it too cringy…"

"Uh, before you go… I AM GANESHA!"

Ganesha obviously tried to get a moment to ensure Shurry was alright. This was Ganesha's way, quirky and straight forward.

"I. AM. SHURRY!"

Shurry's response was with three different poses. Each of which struck a new level of inspiration in Goibinu.

"Good, you're alright. I was worried you'd changed-"

"Oh, one tends to change when their soul is ripped from their body, sent to Tenkai, forced to find the way back, and almost entirely on their own… Seriously, can't y'all just build a road or something?"

Shurry said, perhaps revealing a little too much, but he didn't care. And then while the gods were left flabbergasted, he took his leave.

"HATHOR! Your child… IS TRULY AMAZING! FOR I, GANESHA Say it is so… Oh, I am Ganesha!"

"We know."

Hathor humphed, and turned her head to the side, with a half pout.

"I don't want to hear that from you, seriously, why did you have to keep her in your familia for so long! You know how much I wanted my daughter!"

"It was for Shakti, had I just let Ardee go, she'd have lost it, and that fight in the east may have turned out differently."

"Hmm, I see. Well let's get on with it. I don't want to miss too much of my children's lives. Besides that, I have some other business that needs to be addressed, well, more like formally announced."

"Hmm? Well let's get started then."

The gods, having finished with their disruption from earlier, began bickering about new titles for all of their children who reached level 5 or higher. It turned into a rather long campaign for each god, desperate to get a good name for their child.

"Finally, we have the hero who quite literally saved the day, Shurry, the new level 9 from Hathor familia. What should we call him?"

Hermes asked in a way that all but said the name he wanted to give him.

"You said it yourself already, didn't you, just now?"

"Hero is still a rather heavy title to bear at this time. And it's not like we can limit the scope to be: Hero of Orario, because well, this is the city of heroes… Which puts us right back at the start."

A rather logic focused god suggested, he was often a little bit more on the quiet side than anything, so, it was interesting to hear him speak.

"Yeah, and there's still the matter of the dragon, and clearing of the dungeon… If we just go for the Hero title now, and he fails either of those…"

"Oh come on! You think that silly title will change the meaning that much?"

"Yes, because if a true hero can't beat it, who can? A god? Well, the true hero who lost, had killed a god… The optics aren't good at all."

"How about: Ungrateful Bastard?" Ishtar suggested still fuming mad about what just happened.

"Shut up Ishtar, everyone here knows you just wanted to sow his seed in those fields."

Freya, in a moment of effort to defend herself, defended Shurry's actions. The other gods laughed, minus a few, to include Ishtar. Zeus wasn't laughing either, that voice belonged to the goddess, of the child who killed his young hero, and robbed Bell of a father, he was still quite a bit ticked off with Freya, and Loki both.

Goibniu sighed, and looked over at the prominent goddess who shared his craft.

"We could call him: Craftsman's Bane. He did break those armaments like they were nothing."

"It wasn't for lack of trying, you know."

"Oh, I saw first hand how amazing those pieces were. Though to Fenrir, it might as well have been nothing but paper. Without Arcanum, it's going to be tough to make something strong enough to support him."

"Don't feel too bad about the gear. It wouldn't have helped him against the black dragon anyway."

"Huh? Why's that?"

"I was able to see what happened to Maxim. My initial estimate of the black dragon was way off. It grew far stronger than we thought possible… Now, it's going to take something substantial to beat it…"

"Zeus, when I followed Ouranos plan, despite its hiccups, and accidents… I was able to see some information about your children. Maxim was a borderline force of nature. And that skill. I estimate that the Dragon is somewhere around level 25, give or take a few?"

Zeus & Hera bellowed with laughter, going on for a few minutes… And then some tears.

"Miss Lidith, you won't speak of this to anyone, will you? If you can't, leave, or cover your ears."

"I swear on my familia's honor as messengers, never to discuss anything with anyone who should not know."

"Well said." Zeus smiled. "If it was only level 25, Maxim and the rest might have been able to kill it. Even if many of them died in the process, they would have killed it… Hell, even at level 26, I can still see one of them making it home alive. But… Well, that thing is closer to level 50, and at the rate it's growing, by the time Shurry's matured enough, it might be too late. You all know what happens after 50…"

"It becomes…"

"If I'd been thinking straight, I would have risked it all and teleported them all back home. Even if it meant I returned to Tenkai."

"So, does Shurry know about this?"

"He probably senses it on some level, but how much he understands, is still up for debate."

Hermes, shaking a little… Clapped his hands together…

"Alright so by a show of response, what should we call him? Fenrir?"

There was a huge response.

"How about Hero… Alright then, Fenrir it is-"

"Hold on just a moment. I'd like to make a suggestion." Astraea interrupted… "Vanquisher of Villains… Or Champion Over Calamity."

"Those are both basically the same as calling him, Hero?"

"No, this is more specific."

"True, We could also go with King, now that the title has officially been removed from Ottar… So by show popularity shout-"

""Champion Over Calamity!""

"Excellent suggestion, and choice, from to onward, let the Origin Wolf, henceforth be known as the Champion Over Calamity." Hermes smiled, feeling the age turn. "If there's nothing else, we can adjourn-"

"No, there's something else." Hera spoke, and a few of her fellow gods nodded along.
