"Alright, Hera, what business do you have?"
"Humph! It's that Alfia of mine, she's declared her feelings for her little brother Shurry. So, my familia will be aiding Hathor familia from here on. And… I want a chance at getting vengeance on that dragon for killing my children."
Hera's words had a chilling effect for many reasons, but the shock wasn't over…
"I too will have the rest of my familia aid Hathor's in training to fight, and kill that dragon. Zald's been training quite a bit, chomping at the bit to get a chance to kill the damned thing." He paused. "However, we won't be letting our children convert, they still must carry our crest for it to truly carry meaning. And so, I am attaching my familia to the Hathor familia. My Level 9 Zald, and Level 4…"
"I am attaching my familia to Hathor familia. My level 9 Alfia, Level 7 Meteria, and level 5 Meda… All of us seek vengeance against what had robbed us of our family."
Freya, and Loki's spines shivered hearing level 9. They looked at each other, and gulped. However, the situation had not yet finished.
"I am Ganesha! My familia, must remain independent and focused on the masses, for I am Ganesha, god of the masses. However, our children have joined together in tough times. You'll have all the support my familia can muster as well, for the good of the masses, for I am Ganesha!"
"My familia will also be aiding Hathor's in this grand endeavor. My children simply wouldn't leave it alone. And as a sign of our bond, my Neze, is joining Ardee, in the Champion Over Calamity's embrace. We'll help clear the dungeon, and kill the dragon."
With Astraea joining in on it, there were a lot of questions, as now, this wasn't purely about vengeance against some monster, it was a representation of the children within their familias. A story born of their children, one so strong, it could unite gods who'd have completely different views on so many things.
Astraea was one of the virgin goddesses, siding with a familia that basically has sex with anyone on their familia every other night, was no easy feat. It was so confusing that someone had to ask…
"Astraea, can you deal with how their familia parties it up?"
"I don't bother counting that as part of the party, it helps. However, several years ago, I came to realize something. It was all because of Shurry… That chastity isn't as important as I once thought. The importance is only held by those who practice it, however, life is never brought through chastity, it is bred, and born." She smiled. "And, there was a moment when I learned, judging people based on their chastity wasn't the best way."
The gods, stunned, had to ask.
"How so?"
"Should I treat a victim of rape, the same as someone as loose as Ishtar? There was a time where I would have, and I don't think that is justice… In fact, it should be considered a type of evil."
"Wow, you've really changed! So, what do you say to holding me close, all night?"
"Even if I did hold a man through the night, I'd never be desperate enough for you."
The gods laughed.
"Is anybody else going to announce their alliance to Hathor familia?"
Hermes waited for an answer, and then smiled.
"There is one more matter I must deal with." Hathor spoke, she really didn't want to do this right now, but she had to. "Loki, give me the girl, Ais Wallenstein."
"What?! No! She's my favorite Human!"
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice in the matter, Loki."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Simple, you do not have the means to provide the proper environment to train the girl. And you've already failed her at every one of her first three levels."
"What? All of my veterans have been meticulously training her for years now. Finn has personally managed her training regiment."
"I am Ganesha! Sorry to interrupt, but my child, Grena the Dragoon, met with Finn, she was not nearly as impressed with his performance in person as the rumors about him lead one to suggest."
"Oh why are you opening your big mouth like this, butt out Ganesha!"
"I will not, that girl has indeed been failed by your familia. I think it was wrong for her to be entrusted to you."
"This is bullying!!!! I won't just give her up like this! I can't, I won't!!!"
"Loki, accept this, or challenge us to a war game."
"WHAT! You and your three level 9s! No I won't accept."
Astraea smiled.
"Very well, Loki, I as patron goddess of Astraea familia, challenge you to a war game. If I win the games, I'll take all of the members I want from you. Now, in the hopes of giving them a good experience to grow, I'll ask that Bell, and Meda to join my side in this battle. That still puts my familia at only a single level 6 to your familia's three."
"HUH! Astraea! How can you bully me like this!"
"Oh just relax, the city needs something to spur on the economy. What better than a clash of familia? With members on the line."
"No!!!"
"Loki, you'd be better off accepting this. I shouldn't need to explain this to you, but Shurry has been holding back for a really long time."
"Damn it! Fine, but who are these other two?"
"Meda is the daughter of my dearly departed Empress, and Zeus's Maxim."
"Bell is the son of my wrongfully murdered honorable hero, Alraj."
"So they're strong then… Fine! But you'd better not cry when I win! Because, I'll be taking them from you."
"Oh, Loki, do keep in mind that, should you bother trying to get help from Freya, I'll add in the newly dubbed Arachne Annihilator. I'll also start ramping up the number of members if you actually get assistance. Let the battle be a fair fight."
"Why you!!! Fine! I accept."
And so, a few more details about the war game were hashed out. And then, the Denatus adjourned, all of the names chosen were revealed to the populace, for the most part, the names made sense to everyone, but some people were confused about why the Origin Wolf hadn't been bestowed, the title of Hero. Others simply cheered on the name he did get, Champion Over Calamity.
And then, the other important notices about the new ranking of familias, and the formal alliance created with Hathor familia at the center, and then finally the notice of a war game challenge between Astraea, and Loki.
"It looks like the city is continuing to change."
"Yeah, say let's go make some money, so we can enjoy something good to eat while we watch that war game!"
"Yeah! I heard Hestia familia is still accepting members and workers for the reconstruction effort. There's bound to be some good money involved with that."
"Let's go!"
Adventurers, with their new names, were too excited, and also wanting to test out their new abilities, went to earn money in the dungeon.
The red light district opened for business with a new time table… all day every day, at least until they got their other buildings set up again. They even started offering orgy services.
