Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Divine Reckoning

The battlefield trembled as Viraskas and Marcus clashed, their powers locked in a struggle for supremacy. The air reeked of blood and sweat, the scent of death hanging heavy.

Marcus invoked the forbidden Light Spell, holy armor encasing him. The armor's energy nearly killed Viraskas, leaving him stumbling.

Viraskas's pride refused to yield. He launched a ferocious counterattack, his claws ripping through Marcus's defenses.

The two enemies exchanged blows, their fight a spectacle of brutality. Jasper and Warcry joined the fray, but Marcus proved unstoppable.

With a swift strike, Marcus gouged Warcry's right eye, the demon's scream echoing through the battlefield.

"You will pay for your sins!" Marcus roared.

Casper, enraged, charged at Marcus but was swiftly defeated.

As Viraskas stumbled, Marcus prepared the final blow. Val intervened, blocking the strike.

"You will not kill my father!" Val snarled.

Marcus and Val engaged in a ferocious duel, their blades clashing, their powers locked in a struggle for supremacy.

The battle between Val and Marcus raged on, each blow landing with bone-shattering force.

Val's claws ripped through Marcus's armor, but the human's determination kept him standing.

Marcus's sword sliced through Val's defenses, the demon's roar echoing through the battlefield.

The fight continued, hours passing, neither combatant yielding.

Jasper and Warcry, meanwhile, slaughtered the remaining human army, their cries echoing across the desolate landscape.

Marcus's strength waned, but his resolve remained unbroken.

Val sensed victory, his blows growing more brutal.

Marcus stumbled, his armor cracked, his body battered.

"Yield," Val commanded.

Marcus spat blood, his eyes burning with defiance.

"Never."

Val's response was merciless. He unleashed a torrent of torture, Marcus's screams echoing through the battlefield.

Marcus's body broken, his mind shattered, he begged for death.

"End it...please."

Val's final blow was cruel. He squashed Marcus's head, the human's skull crushing beneath his heel.

The war was over. The demon race had emerged victorious, but at great cost.

Viraskas, Jasper, Warcry stood beside Val, their faces etched with exhaustion and sorrow.

The battlefield lay silent, littered with the bodies of the fallen.

Val's voice echoed through the stillness.

"It is done. We have won."

But at what cost?

The war had changed them all, leaving scars that would never heal.
