Chapter 1 - Little glowing Orb

Long time ago, Mother Nature blessed the land with various elements: fire, water, air, earth. Because of this blessing, we also got invoked with the power to manipulate them, so we decided to build different cities based on the element you were blessed with.

I'm Denki Kusukube from the clan of Kusukube in Wind Tempest City, also known as the City of Air. My dad and my mom only have me; they say they're proud, but I know that's a lie. Because how would someone from the family of the Kusukube clan be without an air ability? That's right, I got nothing, and honestly, I don't care. Sure, I'd get mocked, but I don't really have time to worry about that.

Okay, so that's enough with the introduction. Let's get on to the story.

7 a.m., March 15th. Another day for Wind Tempest Academy. Although I have no wind skills, I was very proud of one thing – my speed. Currently, I'm the fastest in the academy. Even some say that is my only ability, but I don't give a fuss about it.

We have to prepare for a special event today, so I can't be late. I quickly rushed to school. Mom didn't even notice I left, and Dad was still asleep. As I approached the school gate, I noticed I was a bit too early, so I had to wait for the gatekeeper to open the gate. I waited patiently for a few minutes, and finally, I was let in.

I went to class, waiting for others, so I ended up snoozing off. I woke up and found my rival in the next seat. He seated with such a dull, serious bullshit face that I was so annoyed. Then I asked, "Don't you ever smile, Rato?"

He looked at me with such seriousness and said, "What is the use of smiling and acting all nonchalant like you fool?"

I replied, "You bastard, say that to my face!"

He stood up, came right to me, and said, "Don't start something you can't finish, lower Royal class dimwit."

So, yeah, I am part of a royal family, but our rank is 7th, which is lower than the top 5, so we're considered low class without a fancy palace and stuffs.

I replied, "Oh, so we're suddenly lower than you because of your beautiful gold palace and private swimming pool? Is that what makes you have enough pride? You're all just weak rich scums."

"Take that back!" Rato said with a loud voice.

"Make me!" I replied.

Then suddenly, we got interrupted by some of our classmates that just entered the class.

"What's going on here, guys?" said Jukaki Jaro, class head.

Then I replied, "Oh, nothing, Jaro. Just this low life explaining how his family got all that luxury."

"You dimwit! I never said anything like that. How dare you falsely accuse me!" Rato replied.

"It's okay, guys. Stop all this fuss. More students have already arrived. Let's not cause a commotion, alright?" said Jaro.

Then suddenly, more students entered the class, taking their seats.

At the end of the class, the head teacher announced the names of the people representing the event – "Gale Race". He called Sato Kushki, Rima Tasha, Rato Zaurkra, and lastly, Denki Kusukube. I was happy when he mentioned my name, although I knew I'd be part of it. I always found joy in being selected.

Class ended, so as school. Then I had to go back home. On my way home, I heard a strange noise at the nearby alley. I didn't even care to check 'cuz it was none of my business. Then slowly, rain dripped from the sky.

"Oh, bullshit," I said. I knew I had to speed up or probably run before the rain got heavier. Before I could sprint, something fell straight from the sky and landed straight on my head.

"Ouch!" I reacted and caught it before it fell on the ground.

"What the hell is this?" I said with such confusion. It was a green glowing orb, a medium size – not so big, not so small. It even had a gale pattern designed all over it.

Then, I stared at it so focused. My head, eyes, body, bones went upside down to an unknown void. I was floating in the air. I turned around; everywhere was glowing as green as the orb – like an orbit or something.
