"My dear people! Gods and mortals! The moment is here!" Ganesha's voice thundered through the arena, his laughter echoing across the coliseum as the crowd roared in excitement. "We have received hundreds of offers! But only five gods have earned the right to bid for our champion—Damien Ardent!"

The crowd erupted again as Damien stepped into the center of the arena. The dust from his previous battle still clung to his boots, his presence commanding silence and awe as eyes from every corner of Orario fixed on him.

Ganesha raised his arms dramatically. "First up! The greatest Familia in the world—my Familia!" he declared proudly. "The Ganesha Familia shall offer Damien five hundred thousand valis, and immediately grant him a vice-captain position! HAHAHAHA!"

Cheers and boos mixed across the stands. Some called it arrogance; others called it ambition. But no one could deny it—a vice-captain rank was no small gift.

"Next!" Ganesha turned with a grin. "The goddess Hephaestus has offered Damien something truly special—a full set of armor and weapon forged by her own divine hands! Crafted by the God of Smithing herself!"

Gasps swept through the crowd. Divine weapons from Hephaestus were legends—her retired craftsmanship was said to produce items worthy of kings. Even some of her early work had become national treasures. That she was willing to personally forge again, and for Damien, left even the gods murmuring.

Ganesha continued. "Now, from the goddess Freya! The Freya Familia offers Damien one million valis and an executive position among her ranks!"

The reaction was mixed—shock, curiosity, and disapproval. Many doubted Damien would ever accept such an offer after what happened with Noga.

"Next," Ganesha bellowed, "Loki Familia's offer! Lady Loki has promised Damien a top executive position, one and a half million valis, and personal training under Captain Finn Deimne himself!"

The crowd went wild. Finn was a living legend—the thought of being trained by him was an opportunity few could even dream of.

"And finally…" Ganesha paused for effect, drawing a long breath before grinning mischievously. "A unique offer—one that came through Damien's own condition!"

The crowd leaned in, curious.

"The goddess Hestia of the future Hestia Familia offers Damien her full support… her love… and—" Ganesha paused, struggling to keep a straight face, "exclusive back rubs whenever he returns from an adventure!"

Silence.

Then the arena exploded with laughter. Gods, mortals, and adventurers alike howled in disbelief. Some gods protested loudly, demanding how such an absurd offer even qualified. But Ganesha only laughed. "Our champion requested uniqueness! And this, my friends, is the definition of unique!"

Damien stood frozen for a moment, eyes slightly wide as he turned toward the stands. There she was—Hestia, smiling awkwardly beside Hephaestus, looking more embarrassed than divine. He had thrown the condition out as a test, never expecting anyone to actually take it seriously. Yet somehow… of course it was her.

As the laughter settled, Damien walked toward the podium. The air grew quiet again. "I know this may have looked arrogant," he began, voice calm but steady. "A stunt for attention, or pride. But it wasn't that. I simply wanted to see something—to see how the gods would respond when they couldn't rely on wealth or status."

He turned toward Ganesha first. "Lord Ganesha, I appreciate your offer. But positions and money aren't what I'm after." He looked toward Freya next. "The same goes for you, Lady Freya. I seek no throne or riches—I can earn those on my own."

His gaze shifted to Loki. "Lady Loki, your offer was incredible. But even with Captain Finn's training, it lacked what I wanted."

Finally, he bowed slightly to Hephaestus. "Lady Hephaestus… to hear that you'd come out of retirement for me—that was humbling. Your offer came closest to what I desired. But… it still lacked something."

The crowd whispered in confusion. Each rejection drew gasps and murmurs. Some even began to speculate—was he going to refuse every Familia?

Then, without warning, Damien turned toward the stands, his eyes locking onto Hestia. The goddess blinked, confused, as Damien leapt up toward her section in a single, smooth motion. He landed before her and knelt on one knee.

"Goddess Hestia," he said with a faint smile, "will you accept me as your first child—and allow me to be the foundation of your glorious Familia?"

Hestia's mouth fell open. For a heartbeat, she couldn't even speak. Then her eyes welled with tears as she nodded vigorously. "Y–Yes! I accept!" she cried, jumping into his arms.

Damien caught her effortlessly, lifting her in a princess carry as the entire arena fell silent.

Then he looked around, his voice steady but filled with conviction. "What all of you gods forgot," he said, "was the love of a family. The warmth you're meant to give your children. A Familia is nothing without that love. And Hestia—she offered me that."

He paused, then grinned slightly. "Oh… and the back rubs."

The crowd erupted—first laughter, then thunderous applause. Even some gods who had mocked Hestia's offer were now clapping. Cheers filled the arena as Damien carried Hestia toward the exit, his new goddess smiling proudly in his arms.

And so began the story of the Hestia Familia—born not from wealth, nor power… but from something far rarer in Orario.

Love.

...

"Heh… quite the cheeky kid, isn't he?" Loki said, crossing her arms with a smirk as she watched Damien disappear from sight with Hestia in his arms.

Freya's silver eyes remained fixed on the pair, her expression unreadable. "I didn't expect that," she admitted quietly. "I was confident he'd choose me… You...or perhaps Hephaestus. But to think he would take the path of Hestia…" Her words trailed off, the faintest edge of anger laced within her calm tone.

Loki tilted her head, her grin widening. "Oh, don't get all gloomy now, Lady Beauty. You still have your army of pretty boys. But let me make something clear—" she paused, her crimson eyes narrowing slightly as her tone turned sharp, "if you ever do something to that kid…"

Freya turned to her, irritation flickering across her divine features. "Well? What then?"

Loki's grin only grew more playful, though her voice carried a dangerous undertone. "I'll wage war."

The words were light, almost teasing—but every god within earshot could feel the weight behind them. It wasn't a joke.

Freya scoffed, brushing her silver hair aside. "Hmph. Empty threats don't suit you, Loki." With that, she turned, her heels clicking against the stone steps as she walked away. Ottar followed silently behind, towering like a shadow at her side.

"So… love, huh?" Hephaestus said softly, her one visible eye glinting as she approached Damien and Hestia near the arena's edge.

Damien smiled at her, his tone respectful. "Yes… love. And truthfully, Lady Hephaestus, I think you showed it too. Going out of retirement for me—that was the greatest act of love among all the offers. Well...Until the Last"

Hephaestus's lips curved into a small, knowing smile. "Hmph. You're quite the smooth talker, aren't you?"

Before she could say more, Hestia puffed up her cheeks and interrupted, pointing dramatically. "Told you it was the back rubs! You didn't listen!"

Both Damien and Hephaestus couldn't help but chuckle. The tension that had filled the arena moments ago melted into warmth and laughter.

"Well then, Goddess," Damien said, looking at Hestia. "Shall we go home?"

Hestia scratched the back of her head, laughing nervously. "About that… I'm, uh… still working on the 'home' part."

Damien chuckled. "Then we'll work on it together. I happen to have about six million valis on me. That should get us a nice place to start."

Hestia's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Six million?! Then let's buy a big house—no, a huge one! Right next to the Loki Familia!" She clenched her fists in determination. "My chest is already bigger, but now I can bully her with a bigger house too!"

Damien couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "I'll… see what I can do."

And so, with laughter still echoing in the air, Damien and his new goddess Hestia left the arena together

A/N: For anyone wondering why the MC ultimately joined Hestia Familia, even after an entire tournament arc dedicated to the decision, I want to clarify the reasoning behind it.

Reason 1:There were two polls! one on Patreon and one on Webnovel. The Webnovel poll was… basically a ghost town, but it didn't matter because Hestia won both, and overwhelmingly on Patreon. In fact, the Patreon poll was launched long before the story even began, giving everyone plenty of time to vote. When the dust settled, the readers chose Hestia. The tournament arc simply bought time for the results to come in.

Reason 2:I had plenty of ideas for how the story could work with other Familias if they were chosen. But none of those options fit as naturally as Hestia..or an OC Familia..because of the MC himself. He's modeled after Sung Jin-Woo... a Shadow Monarch. And a Shadow Monarch operates solo.....him and his shadows.Placing him in large, active Familias like Loki's or Hephaestus' would force him into party dynamics that just don't match the tone or identity of a true Shadow Monarch story. The narrative flow felt wrong. So Hestia was the choice that aligned best with the MC's core concept.

Secret Reason: Hestia Bestia.)
