Chapter 342 - Chapter 342: The Suppressed Blinding One

Led by Dulse and Zossie, Ace and Green arrived at the headquarters of the Ultra Recon Squad and met the other members, including the captain, Phyco, and his partner, Soliera.

Phyco expressed a warm welcome to Ace and Green's arrival and stated that he would personally lead the team to take Ace and Green to see the suppressed Blinding One shortly.

Faced with their enthusiasm, Ace and Green temporarily agreed. Phyco then had Soliera host Ace and Green, while he called Dulse and Zossie to another room to hear their report.

Soliera led Ace and Green to a nearby sofa. After they sat down, Soliera was the first to speak: "Speaking of which, your arrival might be fate's choice."

"How so?"

Green asked, looking curious.

"Actually, the source of your Lunala, if traced back, is from within our Ultra Megalopolis; it's one that escaped."

Soliera sighed. "I didn't expect that after capturing it, you would bring it back."

"You intend to keep Lunala?"

Ace narrowed his eyes, asking in a calm tone.

Facing Ace's question, Soliera shook her head. "No. Or rather, not at the moment."

Ace and Green looked at Soliera, awaiting her explanation.

Soliera took a deep breath and said sincerely, "Lunala is only one of them. We still need the other Solgaleo to be born. It requires the power of both Pokémon to help the Blinding One return to its original state."

"So, once Solgaleo is born, you will make a move to take my Lunala?"

Ace looked at Soliera, already determined in his heart that if the other party concealed anything, they would immediately act.

"We won't."

At this point, Phyco walked back, stroking his mustache, and said gravely to Ace and Green, "Since Lunala has been captured by you, we naturally won't resort to seizing it by force. However, for the sake of the Blinding One, we also implore you to lend us Lunala for a period of time. Once the Blinding One is restored, we will naturally return Lunala to you."

"Lend it? And how long do you plan to borrow it for?"

Green spoke on Ace's behalf, asking.

"We have confirmed your location. Once Solgaleo is born, we will send Dulse to find you. At that time, we will just ask you to lend us Lunala for a short while."

Phyco did not conceal anything, honestly informing Ace and Green of their objective.

At the same time, he was expressing to Ace and Green that they would not resort to any malicious means. Even if Ace and Green turned around and left right now, they would not stop them.

Their stance was clear, visibly humbling themselves to the lowest degree, pleading with Ace and Green.

If Ace and Green didn't agree, it would make them seem heartless.

However, Ace clearly knew what lending Lunala was for. Ace couldn't guarantee what would happen to Necrozma after it was possessed, or what would happen once it possessed Lunala.

Lunala is currently his Pokémon, so Ace must also be responsible for Lunala. He couldn't just casually lend Lunala out.

Doing so would be a true sign of not valuing his own Pokémon.

"I can't answer you right now."

Ace said, "I need to first confirm the state of the Blinding One you speak of before I can decide whether to help you with this favor."

Ace's words were skillful. He only spoke of helping, not of lending Lunala, leaving room for negotiation.

Phyco was seasoned and clearly understood the implication of Ace's words. However, he had no choice, as there was no need to offend the other party over this matter. Otherwise, if they truly refused to lend Lunala, they would have a major headache.

Soon, at Ace's request, Phyco and his group of four, along with Ace and Green, headed toward the Ultra Megalopolis Tower.

After passing through extremely strict, layered inspections, Ace and Green finally entered the most important building in Ultra Megalopolis.

The tower was immense inside, with large numbers of Naganadel and Poipole flying up and down, providing a large amount of venom to help illuminate Ultra Megalopolis.

The venom's luminosity is not permanent. After losing its glow, the venom will flow back into the pool at the bottom, where Naganadel and Poipole will reabsorb it into their bodies, nurture it, and give it new luminosity.

It is precisely because of these Naganadel and Poipole that Ultra Megalopolis is spared from sinking into perpetual darkness.

Ace and Green took a quick look around, then followed Phyco and the others into the elevator.

The elevator descended continuously, dropping dozens of meters before the elevator doors slowly opened.

Stepping out of the elevator, a huge underground space came into view. The surroundings were covered by a large number of transparent, polished crystals, forming a shield that firmly encased the entire underground space.

Ace and the others arrived at the shield. Looking through the transparent crystal, Ace and Green saw the suppressed Necrozma below.

Necrozma was currently motionless, as if dead, staying within the shield. A portion of the light emitted by the Ultra Megalopolis Tower was refracted, shining into this underground space and onto Necrozma's body.

However, Necrozma's body, covered in dark crystals, was like a black hole. Light shone upon it only to be absorbed, with not a single trace of light able to escape Necrozma's devouring.

"Interesting."

Ace pulled an item from his waist pouch and pointed one end toward Necrozma.

"What are you doing?"

Seeing Ace suddenly take out an item, Phyco and the others instantly became vigilant.

"Don't worry, it's just our ordinary lighting tool."

Ace said while flipping the switch.

In an instant, bright light passed through the transparent crystal, shining directly onto Necrozma.

The item Ace and the others had prepared was nothing other than a powerful flashlight.

This type of powerful flashlight can be charged by Electric-type Pokémon, provides strong illumination, and can be used for nearly two hundred hours when fully charged, so travelers usually carry one.

Furthermore, this powerful flashlight is rugged and of excellent quality. If you buy one, it's unlikely to break within twenty to thirty years, so the repurchase rate is usually low.

Ace bought 500 of them in one go, so it was no wonder that the boss who sold the flashlights regarded him as a god of wealth.
