When the Four Clawed Fiery Bear was in its peak condition, doing something like that would have been impossible.
But now, as the beast was poisoned with a powerful poison having paralysing properties, it was slowly losing it's control over its body parts. That was also the reason why it was becoming slower and was not able to react to Weiss's sudden action.
As Weiss reached the bear's shoulder, it's head large head was right before her. Weiss covered her sword with her life force and used the special technique of Force Eruption.
This was exactly the special technique that she had found in the baron's room last night. Even though she had just taken a brief glance at the technique only once, she was already able to use it in battle. Her comprehension ability was just freaky like that.
With the boost given by this technique, the green aura clad sword managed to easily pierced through the thick skull of the bear and reached its brain.
No matter how strong a monster beast was or how much life force it had, after getting it's brain pierced, there was no way it could still be alive.
So as Weiss jumped down from the shoulder of the bear, it's massive frame fell on the ground with a thud, creating a mini earthquake.
The red aura covering the body of the monster beast also slowly disappeared. This meant that this Four Clawed Fiery Bear monster beast had truly died. As soon as this happened, a loud cheer was heard from the tower too.
...
As the villagers holding bows in the tower saw the death of the Four Clawed Fiery Bear, they all started to cheer loudly for the swordmaster clad in black.
"Amazing great lord knight."
"Thank you for saving our life, master black knight."
"Ohh, we will live. We will survive."
These villagers had not only managed to witnessing a great battle between a brave Knight and a giant monster beast, they had even contributed a little to this battle. And most importantly, now they did not need to worry about losing their lives anymore.
So even though there were still a lot of troubles waiting for them in the future, for the time being, all the villagers here felt a rush of euphoria and became very cheerful.
Then the villagers suddenly noticed the mighty black swordmaster going on his knees on the battlefield and bowing toward a part of the castle.
Looking toward that part of the castle, some of the villagers with a keen eyes were able to see the silhouette of a young girl.
This gesture could mean only one thing. This mighty knight was not here to create choas and was instead pledging his loyalty to the little lady of the Souran family.
This was the best possible outcome for the villagers, as with the young lady taking on the title of the lord and having a powerful knight by her side, the future worries that the villagers might have would also become much less troublesome.
After this, butler Robin thanked all the villagers by giving them some extra food from the castle warehouse and took them back to the village.
Soon the news about the death of the baron and the existence of the powerful black swordmaster would spread throughout the village and even outside of it to the neighbouring territories.
This was exactly what little lady Weiss wanted. So, her plan of staging this monster attack turned out to be a massive success.
Now that Weiss was done showing the world the demise of all the Souran family members except for her, it was time for her to officially take over the territory as the new official baroness.
She had gotten help from all the remaining servants in this matter, so for their sake and for her own, she was to going do her duties properly.
Robin's help was very essential as her massenger and the little girl who was mistaken to be Weiss by the villagers was actually Dora. So Weiss was truly thankful to them even though she had a hard time showing it.
...
The crown of the Brightshine kingdom did not care about the gender of their ruling noble. If a person was sending them enough tax from their territory, the crown would not care about who was ruling over it.
The crown was actually extremely strong with several powerful knights under their control. So the rest of the nobility were not a match for them even if they teaming up together.
But still the crown gave the nobles almost full autonomy in their territory. They had obviously kept the best areas under their direct control and as long as the nobles regularly paid them and followed the main rules created by the first king of the nation, the crown did not care about how the noble ruled their territory or what they did inside it.
Weiss was planning to send a letter mentioning the matter about her taking over the territory alongside the tax for this year. The crown would obviously accept the tax money and that way they would show their direct agreement for this regime change.
Other than that, Weiss was also going to send Count Falgur a letter explaining the situation of her not being the concubine of his anymore.
As the previous Baron Souran had agreed for her to become a concubine for the Falgur family, Weiss as the next baroness needed to cancel this engagement for the sake of her family. That would be the reason that Weiss give the count.
As for the other nobles and the neighbouring ones, Weiss was not going to make any contact with them for the time being.
Even though the previous baron had friendly relationship with some, Weiss knew that all of them had vile personalities. So she had no intention to have any connection with such people in the near future.
Fortunately as the population of the Souran territory was very low, they did not need to depend on anyone for sustenance and were self sufficient. So Weiss would face no trouble after cutting off any relations with the other nobles.
For the time being, Weiss wanted to isolate themselves from everyone else in order to grow silently. The current Souran territory was just way too weak. So they would be in a disadvantage even when interacting with other barons.
