"Pika~~~chu!!!!"
With a command, Pikachu instantly released a powerful surge of electricity, sweeping out currents that continuously struck the flying shattered rock fragments in the air.
Bang bang bang bang!!!!
Explosions continuously erupted in the air, and smoke gradually spread, obscuring the view ahead with a cloud of black.
"Geodude, use Stomp!"
Unable to see the situation, Shengdai nonetheless continued her offensive. Hearing the command, Geodude abruptly leaped through the smoke, its feet glowing. It descended from high in the sky, stomping down towards Pikachu's position.
"Quick Attack!"
Looking up at the cannonball-like body descending from the sky, Ash waved his hand in a signal. Hearing the command, Pikachu instantly glowed with a silvery flash and quickly dodged.
The silver light flashed by. Geodude's heavy body landed, smashing into the ground like a bomb with a thunderous roar. The ground shook with the impact, and a cloud of dust scattered into the air, but Pikachu had already darted away.
"Damn it! Are you just going to keep hiding?" Shengdai was somewhat irritated as her attacks repeatedly missed.
"Want to end this quickly? It's not that hard, is it? Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash smiled, a slight curve on his lips, his eyes glinting as he began his offensive.
"It's useless. Electric-type moves don't work on Geodude," Shengdai confidently stated, believing that Electric-type moves would have no effect on Geodude.
"Heh, who said I was attacking Geodude?"
Ash chuckled. Shengdai paused slightly at his words, then saw Pikachu's body explode with electricity, striking directly at the ground. The flat ground instantly cracked under the electrical impact, and with the force of the explosion,
many rock fragments were flung into the air. For a moment, a rain of rocks scattered across the entire sky, and everyone wondered what Ash was planning.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack to ride the rocks!"
Ash gave the command in stride. Pikachu leaped up at the sound, a shimmering silver light flashing on its body, jumping through the air, using the falling rock fragments as stepping stones.
Each time it stepped on a rock and leaped off, its speed increased again, continuously using the scattered rock fragments as footholds to advance at extreme speed. Gradually, not only Geodude but even the students watching from the side couldn't clearly see Pikachu's movements.
"Geodude, use Rock Blast!"
Watching Pikachu charge over, Shengdai felt a surge of fear, even though she wasn't afraid of Electric-type moves. She didn't know why.
She quickly gave the command, and Geodude once again fired rock fragments towards Pikachu.
However, Pikachu's speed was even faster. Before the rock fragments exploded, it seized the momentary chance and had already charged forward, directly in front of the rocks. Then, it continuously stepped on the Rock Blast fragments that hadn't yet exploded.
It used Geodude's own moves as stepping stones to rapidly approach. The rocks exploded behind it, sending shattered fragments flying, but they couldn't catch up to Pikachu. At this moment, Pikachu had already reached Geodude.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" Seizing the opportunity, Ash gave the command. Pikachu leaped from the last rock fragment, bolstered by the final boost from its long-distance sprint.
Its body rotated in the air, and its tail gleamed with a metallic luster.
"What?! Pikachu knows Iron Tail?!" Seeing this, Shengdai inwardly exclaimed, This isn't good.
She wanted Geodude to dodge, but with Pikachu's current speed and Geodude's inherently slow speed, there was no chance to dodge. Pikachu spun its body, increasing its power.
Bang!!!
Iron Tail descended from above, striking Geodude right in the face. The force of the charge, combined with the downward momentum and Pikachu's own rotational power, was immense.
Rumble! Rumble!
The ground beneath Geodude's feet instantly shattered into four pieces, forming a circular pattern of cracks expanding outwards. Then, Geodude's body sank directly into the ground.
A large amount of smoke spread through the air, engulfing both Pikachu and Geodude. Everyone instinctively raised their hands to block the oncoming airflow. As the smoke gradually dispersed,
they saw a deep crater in the center, with Geodude trapped inside, its eyes spinning. Cracks radiated outwards from around the deep pit, a sight that made one's heart tremble.
At this moment, Pikachu, as the victor, stood on Geodude's body. Looking at the unmoving Geodude, it excitedly leaped off Geodude's body and ran over to Ash's side.
"Pika!!"
"Well done, Pikachu!!" Ash smiled at the sight, then gently patted Pikachu's head.
"As expected of Ash. If any one of those steps had been missing, he probably wouldn't have been able to defeat Geodude in one hit," Brock said from the front.
Rock-types are indeed weak to Steel-types, but due to the Ground-type, the damage wasn't maximized. Yet, it still knocked Geodude out in one hit.
It relied on continuous jumping to accelerate, then utilized the downward force and rotational power to maximize the power of Iron Tail, allowing it to unleash such strength.
"I... I actually lost!!" Shengdai looked at the scene before her, incredulous, still unable to fully process her defeat.
Not only was she defeated, but she was defeated by an opponent when she had a complete type advantage. This made Shengdai, who had always considered herself a prodigy, unable to accept it for a moment.
"The elite student actually lost!"
The other people around also began to whisper. Shengdai had always been an honor student in the school, and also the most outstanding trainer of this cohort. They never expected her to be defeated in such a manner by an outsider trainer.
A moment later, Shengdai slumped to the ground, dejectedly taking out a Poké Ball and recalling Geodude.
She had nothing more to say. Ash had not only defeated Geodude but also her pride along with it.
"So... so strong!" Xiaojun, not far away, looked at Ash with wide-eyed disbelief, filled with surprise and even a sense of admiration.
"The books don't mention any of this at all, and Pikachu actually used a Steel-type move."
It wasn't just Xiaojun who was surprised. In fact, many people were. Underachievers like Xiaojun didn't know much, but other students were quite surprised.
Their textbooks categorized Pokémon by level, indicating which moves they could learn at which level.
However, Iron Tail was not listed among Pikachu's move levels. Yet, Ash had undeniably used it right in front of them. These were parts completely absent from their textbooks.
