Chapter 447 - 447: The Arrival of King Cold

After that day, Chiga found time to return to both the Pirate World and the Shinobi World, visiting old friends and checking on familiar faces. He even stopped by the home of Nerona and his other wives to spend some time relaxing. Eventually, he decided to visit Kaguya, who was still expecting.

However, what made him feel a little helpless was that Kaguya's stomach showed no signs of movement. If not for his ability to see through her with his vision and confirm that the fetus was developing well, Chiga might have considered using the power of the Ope-Ope no Mi to assist her delivery himself.

Time passed quickly as he moved between the three worlds, and before he knew it, more than a year had gone by.

By now, Lazuli and Lapis had both graduated from high school, though neither seemed interested in continuing their studies. It was understandable—people with enough power to destroy planets hardly needed lessons from textbooks.

Of course, Gohan was the exception.

Thanks to Chiga's intervention, the crises that should have plagued Earth were resolved quietly, one after another. In this rare era of peace, Gohan buried himself in books and practice tests, almost evolving into a model student who resembled a certain Nobita from the old cartoons.

But as always, when things go too far, balance is lost. Chi-Chi's strict, high-pressure approach began to backfire, awakening a quiet streak of rebellion in Gohan. He had started to grow weary of studying and longed for adventure again.

Goku, unfortunately, couldn't do much about it. Even if he wanted to train with his son, Chi-Chi never allowed it. And so things continued—until the day King Cold arrived on Earth.

Yes, Frieza's father, King Cold.

Ever since Frieza's defeat, he had vanished without a trace. As a father, King Cold couldn't simply ignore his son's disappearance, so he decided to travel personally to Earth to uncover the truth.

But his enormous Ki couldn't be hidden. The moment his spaceship entered Earth's atmosphere, his presence was detected by Goku and the others.

Although his energy was still far beyond that of most warriors on Earth, no one panicked. They all knew that Chiga was here. His presence alone was a symbol of safety—just as Whis and Beerus were in their own universe. With Chiga around, there was no disaster too great to handle.

Without hesitation, Goku asked Bulma to inform Chiga, while he took Gohan, Krillin, and the others toward the site where King Cold's ship had landed.

In truth, Chiga had already sensed the tyrant's arrival long before Bulma reached him. By the time she arrived at Lazuli's house, Chiga was calmly sitting on the sofa, a faint smile on his face, as though expecting her.

Lazuli sat beside him, her bright blue eyes watching Bulma, who appeared slightly out of breath from rushing over.

Before Bulma could even speak, Chiga gave her a knowing look, placed his hand gently on her shoulder, and disappeared from the room along with Lazuli.

Meanwhile, King Cold's massive ship had touched down. One glance at Earth's vibrant environment, and his eyes gleamed with greed. As a former cosmic real estate magnate, he immediately thought, This planet would sell for a fortune.

But business aside, he hadn't forgotten his purpose—to find his missing son.

He ordered his subordinates to scan the planet for Frieza's life signals, but of course, they found nothing. Frieza's grave was long overgrown, his name faded into dust. Yet King Cold, unwilling to accept the truth, persisted.

Just as he was about to command his men to cause trouble to attract attention, Chiga, Bulma, and Lazuli appeared before him.

Startled by their sudden arrival, King Cold narrowed his eyes.

"You are…?"

He never finished the sentence.

A blinding golden energy burst from Chiga's palm, swallowing the entire area in an instant. The explosion echoed across the plains. When the smoke cleared, King Cold and his troops had been completely vaporized—reduced to nothing but dust floating on the wind.

Bulma's mouth twitched slightly. She turned to glance at Chiga and muttered,

"…He just died like that?"

Chiga waved his hand casually, smiling.

"What else did you expect? Talking to him would've been a waste of time. Besides, it must've been hard for him to come all this way just to deliver his own head."

Bulma sighed, torn between disbelief and relief. "Still, it's amazing that Earth has someone like you, Chiga."

He didn't respond, but Lazuli smirked, resting her head proudly against his arm as if to declare her claim. Bulma pouted at the sight, clearly about to say something when a young voice echoed from above.

"Uh… seems like I'm a little late?"

Everyone looked up.

Descending slowly from the sky was a young man wearing a blue vest, his hair the same shade of lavender as Bulma's. It was Trunks, the warrior from the future.

After landing, he immediately noticed the massive crater nearby. His expression twisted in confusion.

This wasn't how things were supposed to go. In his future, both Frieza and King Cold had arrived together, not like this. And now, before him stood a mysterious young man beside his mother, someone who had effortlessly destroyed King Cold with a single blast.

Trunks turned to face Chiga, a chill running down his spine.

Just moments ago, Lazuli had been nestled close to Chiga, and he hadn't seen her face clearly. But now, as his eyes locked onto her features, his heart froze.

His hand went to the sword on his back.

"Android 18… You've come out early!? Where's Android 17? What have you done!?" he shouted, voice trembling.

Lazuli blinked in confusion, her brows knitting together. She had no idea who this strange young man was or why he was acting so hostile. Only a handful of people even knew her and Lapis' real designations.

So how did this stranger know?

"I don't even know you," she replied, frowning. "What are you talking about?"

Trunks wiped the sweat from his forehead, his expression tense.

"Don't play dumb! What are you planning by getting close to my mother? Where are Goku-san and the others!?"

Lazuli's patience began to thin. She stepped forward, hands on her hips.

"What nonsense are you spouting? And pointing your sword at people—don't you know how rude that is? Put it away, or I'll make you regret it."

But Trunks, already on edge, mistook her movement for an attack.

In a flash of golden light, his hair spiked upward as he transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"I won't let you Androids destroy another world! Take this!"

He lunged forward, blade gleaming, ready to strike.

To him, Chiga, standing close to Lazuli, was likely another Android—perhaps one even stronger than the ones from his time.

Lazuli sighed softly, sidestepped the incoming slash with ease, and drove her fist into his stomach.

The air trembled.

Trunks' sword clattered to the ground as he doubled over, gasping in pain. The sheer force of her punch nearly broke his Super Saiyan form, his aura flickering as he struggled to stay standing.

He stumbled back a few steps, clutching his abdomen and staring at Lazuli with disbelief.

The woman before him was powerful—far more so than the Android 18 he'd faced in his own timeline. And beside her stood Chiga, watching the scene unfold with calm detachment, as though everything was proceeding exactly as he expected.
