A deep sense of despair welled up in Trunks' heart. His arrival had clearly changed history — not only had Android 18 appeared earlier than expected, but a completely unknown and powerful android had emerged as well.
Bulma, standing nearby, had no idea that the "Mom" Trunks referred to earlier was actually her future self. To her, the young man just seemed like a troubled and confused teenager.
Android 18 folded her arms and shot Trunks a cold glare.
"Are you crazy? You start swinging your sword the moment you show up. Next time, I won't hold back!"
Trunks froze, staring at her in disbelief. "You… you're not going to kill me?"
"Why would I kill someone for no reason? You just popped out of nowhere. You're the strange one here."
She huffed and stepped back toward Chiga, ignoring Trunks entirely.
Still shaken, Trunks lowered his sword, uncertain of what was happening anymore.
Just then, the sound of rushing air filled the area. Several figures descended — Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta among them.
Frieza's spaceship had already been obliterated by Chiga, and Nappa's pod had been destroyed during that same battle, leaving him stranded on Earth.
Because of Chiga's overwhelming power, Vegeta hadn't dared to cause trouble. Instead, he'd taken to living like a hermit on Baozi Mountain, surviving on his own like a wild man.
Goku and Gohan, being warm-hearted, couldn't stand to see him living that way. They repeatedly invited Vegeta to stay at their home.
At first, Vegeta refused — his pride wouldn't allow it. But one evening, the smell of Chi-Chi's cooking drifted across the valley. The half-roasted meat in his hand suddenly didn't seem appetizing anymore.
His stomach growled loudly, attracting Goku's attention. With a grin and a little coaxing, Goku dragged him to the house, where Vegeta "reluctantly" devoured bowl after bowl of food.
From that day on, Vegeta became a regular at Goku's table. His enormous appetite often made Chi-Chi grumble, but no one could deny he seemed happier.
Now, as the Saiyan prince looked at Chiga, a faint sense of awe crossed his face — something very few beings in the universe could inspire. Once, only Beerus had earned that feeling. Now, Chiga joined that short list.
Goku, in contrast, was as cheerful as ever. Waving energetically, he called out, "Yo! Chiga!"
Chiga smiled warmly in return. "Goku, we meet again."
Beside him, another figure drew everyone's attention — Trunks, still glowing with golden energy in his Super Saiyan state. His aura lit up the battlefield like a second sun.
Goku blinked curiously. "Wow! This kid's Ki is incredible! Who is he, Chiga? He kinda looks like that Super Saiyan you mentioned before!"
Trunks hesitated. He had already recognized Goku from pictures Future Bulma had shown him. He was about to introduce himself when Chiga spoke first.
"His name is Trunks," Chiga said calmly. "He's a Saiyan from the future."
"What? From the future?"
Everyone's eyes widened in shock. Even Trunks stared at Chiga in disbelief. "How do you know that? Who exactly are you?"
Everything felt wrong — the timeline, the people, even their reactions. The world he thought he knew had changed.
Chiga smiled faintly. "I know far more than you can imagine."
Then his gaze shifted. "Come out already. How long do you plan to hide?"
The group exchanged puzzled looks. Even Goku and Vegeta couldn't sense anything unusual.
When no one appeared, Chiga raised his hand and fired an energy blast at a nearby boulder.
Boom!
The rock shattered into dust, revealing a tall figure standing amid the smoke — holding a staff and smiling serenely.
As the dust cleared, Bulma's eyes widened. "Wait, isn't that the woman who stood beside the God of Destruction last time? Is she… another god?"
Chiga's expression hardened. "What brings the Angel of Universe Six to Earth, Vados?"
Vados chuckled softly, twirling her staff. "Oh my, such a cold greeting. Is that any way to welcome an old acquaintance?"
Lazuli frowned slightly, her instincts bristling. Who's this woman? And why does she feel so… divine?
But the resemblance of her attire to Whis's didn't escape her notice. Realizing this newcomer was no ordinary being, she quietly stepped back beside Chiga, eyes fixed on Vados in wary silence.
Truth be told, Chiga hadn't expected her arrival either. The Angels' ability to conceal their Ki was unmatched — he hadn't sensed her presence at all.
It was only when Trunks was revealed a time traveler that Vados's emotions had momentarily wavered, allowing Chiga to detect her faint energy signature.
He understood immediately: she wasn't here by coincidence. Angels didn't simply visit mortal planets for leisure.
"If you're here again to ask me to become a candidate for God of Destruction," Chiga said evenly, "you're wasting your time. My answer hasn't changed — I refuse."
Vados sighed, her tone half teasing, half resigned. "Ah, you really are hopeless. But I expected as much."
She had, in truth, been on Earth for a while — blending in, observing humanity firsthand. The vibrant, unpredictable life here fascinated her. For someone who had spent eons in divine stillness, the chaos of mortal existence was refreshing.
And the food — she could hardly resist mentioning that. Earth's cuisine was endlessly inventive, and she hadn't tasted the same dish twice since her arrival.
Recalling her experiences, a small, genuine smile curved on her lips — not the polite, distant smile of an Angel, but a sincere one.
Then, her expression shifted. She turned toward Trunks, her aura suddenly heavy and divine.
"Time travel without authorization is a grave crime," she said, her voice resonating with celestial authority. "Do you realize the sin you've committed?"
The air grew still. Even Vegeta took an involuntary step back as Trunks swallowed hard, his golden aura flickering uncertainly.
