Chapter 361 - Chapter 361: Undead Uprising - Janemba

The Grand Kai watched as Pikkon vanished from sight, his gray beard trembling slightly. Behind his sunglasses, his eyes gleamed with concern, brows furrowed deep with worry. The terrifying power emanating from the underworld made even this high-ranking deity tremble. He sensed this monstrous force might be truly invincible—perhaps even beyond Pikkon's considerable abilities.

Should he contact Raditz?

The thought had already crossed the Grand Kai's mind. If the situation spiraled completely out of control, asking Raditz for help might be their only option. Though Raditz was among the living, desperate times called for desperate measures.

Meanwhile, behind the swirling mass of evil energy, a woman departed the underworld with a satisfied, predatory smile. Pride radiated from her every movement as she dissolved into the void, her melodious yet sinister voice echoing faintly: "How foolish of me to overlook the underworld's potential before. All that unpurified evil energy—what perfect raw material. If I can destabilize the afterlife itself, it will serve my purposes magnificently. Raditz, you never saw this coming... Hehehe..."

Towa was very much alive, though she'd lost the confidence to operate openly. Now she preferred working from the shadows, focusing solely on gathering energy to resurrect the Demon God. Two long years had passed since she'd begun repairing the damage Raditz had inflicted upon her body. Though not fully healed, she'd recovered enough magical power to conceive this new scheme targeting the underworld itself.

Originally, she'd planned only to use her magic to influence Hell, stirring chaos in that realm of the damned.

The manifestation of Janemba exceeded even Towa's expectations—this being of pure malevolence was beyond her control. Even she couldn't contain such concentrated evil. But Towa didn't mind. Her goal was to disrupt the order and harvest energy from the resulting chaos. Through Janemba, she'd already achieved that objective.

Now she could sit back and absorb energy at her leisure, letting Raditz and his allies deal with the troublesome monster she'd unleashed.

Janemba had already reached the Yellow Springs, bouncing near the Palace of King Yemma. Its massive form possessed an almost rubber-like elasticity, bounding across the ground like some nightmarish ball.

Pikkon arrived at the scene moments later, his body instinctively recoiling as an involuntary shudder ran through him. "Why does this creature feel so terrifying? It's even more evil than the Galaxy Overlord was." The sensation was like a frigid wind from the deepest pits of Hell striking his face, making his hair stand on end.

"Janemba! Janemba!"

The creature on the ground noticed Pikkon, its eyes remaining disturbingly vacant—impossible to tell if it truly saw him at all.

"That blank stare is really unsettling," Pikkon muttered, regarding the enormous monster warily. He couldn't afford to underestimate this opponent.

"Ja... Janemba!" Suddenly, Janemba swung its fist—but struck at empty air to the side!

Pikkon was momentarily confused by the seemingly random attack. But in the next instant, half of the creature's arm vanished into a void-like portal, and a swirling cavity opened directly behind Pikkon. The fist emerged from this dimensional rift, catching him completely off-guard!

WHAM!

The surprise attack sent Pikkon crashing to the ground with devastating force.

Janemba's power was overwhelming. From that single blow, Pikkon immediately understood the vast gap between their abilities. The difference in their striking power was simply too great.

"Damn it!" Pikkon struggled to his feet, wiping blood from his mouth as his expression darkened considerably.

Fighting such a creature defied all conventional combat logic!

Janemba seemed oblivious to Pikkon's distress, treating him like an amusing new toy. It clapped its hands gleefully and burst into childlike laughter.

"Think this is fun, you bastard? Try this!" Pikkon seized the opportunity to crouch low, clenching his fists as he suppressed the blood rising in his chest. Channeling his full power, he unleashed his strongest attack: "Thunder Flash Attack!"

Blazing energy streaked toward Janemba at incredible speed, containing far more power than Pikkon had displayed during the Other World Tournament. But the creature showed no fear whatsoever—its innocent demeanor was both infuriating and unsettling.

When the thunder and lightning bombardment struck, Janemba's massive body began disintegrating like dismantled building blocks, separating into countless fragments. The turbulent energy beam pierced through empty air, while the creature instantly reformed behind Pikkon. A colossal palm descended from above like a falling mountain.

Pikkon reacted swiftly, launching himself sideways to avoid the direct strike. But he couldn't escape entirely—the attack clipped him, sending him sliding awkwardly across the ground before he could regain his footing.

"Janemba!" The rotund form immediately began releasing energy blasts, holes opening across its body like cannons. A rain-like barrage of energy attacks descended upon Pikkon. He might dodge a single strike, but such overwhelming coverage was impossible to avoid completely!

BOOM—BANG BANG BANG!

A mushroom cloud erupted in Hell as Pikkon was finally overwhelmed. He lay at the bottom of a deep crater, barely clinging to consciousness, his clothes shredded beyond recognition. He lacked the strength to stand. Despite all his training, he was still no match for this monster. Most frightening of all—the creature hadn't even seemed to exert its full power.

Having apparently lost interest in Pikkon, Janemba bounded toward King Yemma's palace. It plopped down atop the massive structure, and a vast barrier enveloped the entire underworld. From that moment, the natural order of yin and yang reversed completely.

The pathway between the underworld and the living world tore open, allowing countless vengeful spirits trapped in the depths to surge through the passage back to the realm of the living.

"We can finally escape! Hahaha, the real world awaits us over there!"

"Let's go! Hell can't contain us anymore!"

"Resume the conquest, my army! Follow me!"

Thousands upon thousands of the damned rushed from Hell's depths. Souls who had been imprisoned in the darkest reaches now rejoiced at their freedom. In life, they had been villains consumed by ambition and resentment when they fell into Hell. Finally, they could return! Back to the living world to complete their unfinished business!

Among them walked a familiar spotted figure—Cell, his face twisted with vengeful purpose, followed by other defeated androids.

"Saiyans, your end has come," Cell hissed, clenching his fists as a cold smile played at his lips.

"Heh heh, if you're seeking revenge, how about including us?" King Cold and Cooler approached, trailed by countless members of their cosmic armies—all subordinates of the Frost Demon clan.

Cell's eyes narrowed. "So it's you."

More and more gathered in Hell's antechamber—every one of them had been sent to the underworld by Saiyans. They had reappeared because Janemba had distorted Hell itself, warping space and confounding the natural barriers. Now, all their past grievances would be settled at once.

Even in Hell, their power had continued growing. They believed their strength now surpassed the Saiyans in the living world. Even if individually they fell short, with their overwhelming numbers, victory was assured!

The Grand Kai contacted Raditz the moment Pikkon's defeat became clear, informing him of the supernatural crisis unfolding in the underworld. Raditz immediately realized the truth—Janemba had been born! And even as they communicated, the Legion of Vengeance had already set foot upon the living world.
