The sky stretched clear and blue above, the world appearing unchanged on the surface. Yet in every corner of Earth, strange figures were materializing.
A mighty army drove tanks rampantly through city streets. Hordes of zombies wandered among skyscrapers. Bizarre creatures emerged everywhere—winged horses, seaweed-covered water monsters... The dead swarmed across the planet in countless forms, from notorious villains to innocent souls caught in the chaos.
Pandemonium erupted as earth-shaking changes unfolded in an instant.
"What the hell is happening?!" Zangya stayed close to Raditz's side, arm linked with his, completely bewildered by this supernatural phenomenon.
"The Grand Kai informed me there's been a catastrophic failure in the underworld," Raditz explained, gently stroking the back of Zangya's hand to comfort her. "But don't panic. These are just 'old friends'—if we defeated them once, we can do it again."
"Multiple powerful energy signatures have appeared, including artificial humans," Android 16 reported, his sensors clearly detecting the threats. His tone carried unusual gravity, as if facing a formidable enemy.
Android 18 frowned as well. Though unable to sense ki like the others, she could still perceive the dramatic changes overtaking the world.
Her thoughts turned to Android 17 in the distance. Had he noticed this disturbance too?
Android 17 had indeed detected something amiss. Numerous strange creatures were appearing throughout his nature preserve, including some disgusting criminals. Several of these figures were poachers he'd previously eliminated—people who had returned from the dead!
"How is this possible?" Android 17 muttered, having just knocked out one intruder. Confusion flickered across his face.
He fired a ki blast to destroy an approaching vehicle, but suddenly several brilliant beams of energy rushed toward him, overwhelming his attack with superior force!
"What?!" Android 17 barely had time to react, crossing his arms defensively in front of his body.
In that instant, a devastating blow struck him from behind. The tremendous impact hammered into his back like a sledgehammer, driving his body deep into the ground. The earth cratered in an inverted cone shape as Android 17's defenses shattered under the subsequent energy bombardment, his entire form swallowed by blazing light.
This wasn't the power of ordinary opponents!
Android 17's expression shifted to shock as he gritted his teeth, raising an energy barrier within the devastating assault. Crackling lightning and a shimmering protective field deflected the remaining shockwaves as turbulent air currents swirled and spread in all directions.
As the dust settled, Android 17 finally saw who had ambushed him.
"You... it's you!" His eyes widened in disbelief, nearly bulging from their sockets.
Standing before him were all the other artificial humans—Androids 13, 14, 15, 19, and 20. Every familiar face had reappeared, led by Dr. Gero himself, all wearing identical sinister smiles as they closed in.
"Android 17, you betrayed us," Dr. Gero said coldly, his narrow eyes filled with resentment and desire for revenge.
"No, Dr. Gero. I never intended to obey your orders, and you think you can defeat me with these rejects?" Android 17 stepped back into a fighting stance. He knew these androids couldn't match him—among all artificial humans, he was the strongest. Well... except for Android 16.
"Hahaha, these are all upgraded models. And of course, there's this one..." Dr. Gero stepped aside, revealing the figure behind him.
When Android 17 saw who it was, his face went pale with shock.
Another Android 17 stood there, identical in every way.
"Hey, let's begin," the duplicate said with an evil grin.
Beneath another stretch of sky, countless members of the Frieza Force advanced ruthlessly, slaughtering indiscriminately. They used energy detectors to locate life forms across Earth, swinging energy cannons in wide arcs to bombard cities and civilians en masse.
These were the avengers, returned from distant deaths to destroy this world!
"Kill! Kill them all!"
"Leave no one alive!"
"Hahaha!" The bloodthirsty aliens roared and screamed with savage excitement. "Someone's appeared over there!"
Some noticed a white-cloaked figure floating in the air and immediately focused their attention on him.
The man's white cape fluttered behind him as he kept his back turned, revealing only an imposing silhouette. He was tall and radiated a powerful aura that sent chills down their spines.
The moment he turned around, every detector the cosmic soldiers carried exploded simultaneously! His enormous energy exceeded the machines' tolerance limits!
"That... that's the Namekian!" someone recognized his face and screamed in terror.
"So you're all Frieza's lackeys? How dare you emerge to cause trouble—damn you all!" Piccolo's cold gaze swept over them, his eyes flashing with piercing intensity. The group of aliens in front of him exploded instantly under his stare, overwhelming force raining down from above without giving them any chance to resist!
Piccolo had become truly benevolent after fusing with Kami, and removing Slug's evil influence had purified him further.
The space soldiers had no opportunity to flee. Piccolo's strength was beyond their imagination—his restraining energy locked them in place so completely they couldn't move, let alone speak!
"Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo thrust his hands forward forcefully, launching a devastating wave of energy. The tremendous force shattered the entire sky, its radiance lingering for several moments.
"Uncle Piccolo!" Gohan flew up to join him, shouting happily.
"Gohan, what are you doing here? Go somewhere else—I can handle this," Piccolo said, sensing distant energy signatures that clearly indicated many more powerful enemies approaching.
"Dad and the other uncles have already left to fight."
"Goku?" Piccolo smiled knowingly. "I imagine he's encountered some old friends."
Piccolo could sense Goku's ki in the distance. At that very moment, the Saiyan was facing members of the Frost Demon clan—Cooler, who had once been slightly stronger than him, and King Cold, whom he'd previously defeated.
Meeting on this narrow battlefield, both Cooler and King Cold radiated murderous intent, their scarlet eyes practically oozing bloodlust.
"We meet again, Kakarot!"
"Damn Saiyan monkey, your annoying brother isn't here to save you this time, is he?" Cooler glared at Goku coldly, taunting him.
Goku smiled confidently. "This time I don't need my brother's help to deal with you. I'm more than enough."
"Really? You might be disappointed." Cooler placed his hands at his waist as his aura suddenly exploded. He'd raised his power to rival a full-power Super Saiyan, and King Cold had achieved the same level.
They were confident, proud, believing their training in Hell had finally given them the strength to defeat the Saiyans.
"You have improved considerably, but you're still not quite at my level," Goku said with a faint smile. "Let me show you a higher form then Super Saiyan 2!"
Clenching his fists, Goku's entire body ignited with golden flames.
"Impossible—Super Saiyan 2!" Cooler gasped in shock as Goku's form erupted with dazzling lightning, like a god descending from the heavens.
