Chapter 161 - V4-C20: The Magister and The Knight [2]

Aqua's eyes teared up as she stared at Azure's back. She quickly wiped her tears. She is safe. She is safe!

She had not regretted her dangerous alteration of history.

If it assured Azure's and Sheira's safety, then even breaking time itself was not off the table.

The girl was yet to notice her, slowly heading toward the dining area.

Aqua gathered her courage and charged forth, pouncing on Azure and knocking her forward. "Azu!" She happily exclaimed as the duo collapsed to the ground.

Azure yelped in surprise, balancing herself to avoid hitting the ground with her nose. Aqua squeezed her with her arms and legs, her face rubbing into her back. "Azu! My Azu!"

"A…" She fought for air, struggling to turn toward her heroine. "Aqua? When did you return?"

"Just now, I returned just now!" She shouted, her face rubbing into Azure's chest.

Azure slowly placed her hand onto Aqua's head. A small smile formed on her face.

"My star, why are you crying?"

How could I not cry? My love is alive! She sniffled and looked up at Azure before crawling closer to her face, her body pinning Azure's to the academy's stone path. Fortunately for the duo, other students were not present.

"I almost lost everything. No, I did lose everything!" She shouted, and Azure understood what Aqua meant.

The dream was indeed caused by Aqua.

"Aqua," she said, putting her hand onto Aqua's cheek. A tear rolled down her face, hitting the ground. "I had a horrible dream, a dream where everyone died."

She remembers?! Aqua's eyes widened. It was not possible to remember the time that was altered, yet her love claimed to have dreamt it.

Or it would have been impossible in normal circumstances. Two theories brewed in her mind: Azure had a connection to time, or the Lord had made it so that she would remember the past.

In any case, she could not worry about it. Her Azure was alive, and that was all that mattered to Aqua.

She looked into Azure's eyes. She sat on Azure's stomach and leaned close to her, her long red hair falling on Azure's face. "What you dreamt of happened. I did something unforgivable to make it not be."

The champion's face turned bright red.

"Azu, I had shattered the flow of time for you. I could not stand to lose you. It made me realize something."

"W…what?" She asked with a shaky voice.

"I was so scared of committing to you; I was terrified of losing you, yet when I returned from the world tree, you were dead. It shattered my heart more than I could have imagined." She said while her tears flowed, hitting Azure's cheek.

Azure's legs squirmed, yet she did not wish to escape; on the contrary, she was in the exact spot where she wanted to be, under her Aqua.

"I was a coward," she said before shaking her head. "I was stupid. I should not have rejected you. I am in love with you, Azure. You are the only woman I will ever love."

Azure's jaws opened wide, not even managing to produce a single word.

"I told myself once, for you, I would turn back time. I believed it was an exaggeration, and yet here I am," Aqua said while getting closer to Azure, who merely gulped.

"A…qua," Azure shuddered.

She moved her hair aside. "Azu, consider this my official answer to your confession. I was stupid to not accept it the first time. I will marry you one day, but you can consider me your life partner even now."

She leaned down closer and gulped nervously, her hand landing on Azure's cheek. "My heart needs you. I want to gift my heart to you, forever. Neither death nor time will tear you away from my hands. I will belong to you, and you will belong to me, forever! Even when the world expires, you will have me."

Azure stared at Aqua, barely managing to make a sound. Her whole body shook, and the heat rose through her whole being. The champion rubbed her thighs together.

"Aqua," she said, placing her hand on Aqua's cheek. "I am so happy right now; I too want to gift you my heart," Azure said softly, her smile widening. "But are you sure? I am just a liability to you and you said you were not ready. Please do not make a mistake."

Aqua blinked, her face flushed red. Azure being worried about her making a mistake was yet another reason Azure was the only person who deserved her love. However, she was ready, she would accept her feelings. Nothing could hurt as much as losing Azure without even telling her how much she loved her.

"Liability? You are my anchor, one of the biggest reasons I finally found a semblance of happiness. If anyone deserves my heart, it is you, my Azure. Losing you made me realize just how much you matter to me. You are an irreplaceable part of my life."

Azure was left speechless. Despite being useless to her beloved, she was still loved.

"You are not a liability, even if you were the weakest and most frail woman in the world, I would still love you. I would stop at nothing to protect you," she said before going silent for a solid second.

Aqua shook her head, her ears twitching. "Even now there are threats… threats I will erase to keep my friends… and future wife safe."

Azure chuckled, her face turning even redder as she gently pushed Aqua's hair behind her ear. "Aqua, let go of that now, let us enjoy gazing at each other for a moment. I wished for this moment for too long."

I don't mind that at all. The Rot and Savages can wait for their reckoning. For now, I want to enjoy my Azure.

The woman below her made her body and mind relax, clear of all distractions.

She got closer.

Azure did not resist; instead, she closed her eyes and relaxed, her other hand landing on Aqua's back.

She is so beautiful, and she loves me. She loves someone like me.

Her lips got closer to Azure's, a mere hair away. She closed her eyes.

"Forever, I will belong to only you. You are my shining knight," Aqua whispered, her lips connecting with Azure's.

The sweet taste of Azure's lips invaded her senses, her beloved's hands grabbing her hips and pinning her closer.

I don't want this moment to ever end.

She opened her mouth slightly, her tongue slipping inside Azure's mouth. Their tongues danced for many seconds before Aqua slowly separated, leaving a trail of spit between them. Her face was flushed red, and she looked at Azure like she had never before.

Azure did not even hide her red face; instead, she shot up and hugged Aqua. "I can't believe it happened! I was ready to wait decades."

Aqua smiled, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. "I love you, Azure."

The comment made Azure blush and turn to the side. "I love you too, Aqua. You are my star, my guiding light."

Aqua smiled and placed her fingers on her lips. She then placed her palm on Azure's cheek and turned Azure to face her before getting closer. "That kiss was my first. I am glad I got to give it to you."

Azure stared at her, grabbing Aqua's hand. "Same for me; I had never even kissed anyone before. It felt amazing. You taste amazing, my star."

They looked at each other before a single word was spoken; Azure was the one to lunge at Aqua and kiss her before moving away from her lips. "My love~."

"My beloved Azu," Aqua said, pressing her forehead into Azure's.

Azure awkwardly smiled and slowly stood up, forcing Aqua to move from her body. "So am I allowed to call you darling?"

Aqua chuckled. "Of course, my love. Call me whatever you like; I belong to you."

Azure's face turned bright red again. "Then," she said. "Darling, could you tell me what happened, and what we need to do?"

The question was fair. Aqua forced herself to stop fantasizing about her wife's lips and to focus on the pressing issue.

"I will tell you everything, and then," Aqua said, frowning. "And then, I will purge everything that dared bring harm to You, Sheira, and my new home," she looked at her palm. "They will regret being born. I will break them; I will reduce their worthless species to ash. They are no better than a cockroach."

Before Aqua could spiral out of control, Azure rushed forward and wrapped her arms around Aqua's left arm and pulled her, snapping Aqua back to reality. "Of course, my love, I want vengeance too, but first, let's go eat breakfast. You gave me a dessert before the main dish, bad girl~" Azure teased.

Aqua chuckled and rolled her eyes. It would take some time to get used to this. I need to calm down, for her sake.

She leaned her head toward Azu. "Let's go; I would like something sweet."

"Hey, you just had me!" Azure exclaimed.

Aqua chuckled. "True, perhaps you could give me more later," she teased.

Azure pushed herself closer to Aqua, almost making both girls fall. "Anything for you, my love."
