"Sir, this is the room you reserved in advance. If you need anything, please contact the front desk by phone. We'll resolve it as quickly as possible."

The service attendant spoke with a polite smile, her gaze lingering on Shirou Emiya's face. The moment she looked at him, she felt the quiet charm he carried.

What a beautiful young man...

Snatching him away from those guys was definitely worth the effort.

Her cheeks flushed slightly as she thought this to herself.

Led down the corridor, Shirou Emiya arrived at Room 306.

"Thank you for showing me the way."

"It's my duty."

Seeing that Shirou Emiya showed no reaction to her subtle hints and walked straight into the room, the attendant could only retreat reluctantly. Still, she didn't give up.

I'll try again tonight, she decided.

Once the door closed, Shirou Emiya let out a quiet sigh.

"How troublesome. My charm really is getting stronger."

Although his words carried a hint of complaint, there was no annoyance on his face. If anything, his expression was faintly triumphant.

After all, being noticed by others wasn't something anyone truly disliked.

Shirou Emiya had clearly seen through the attendant's thoughts, but he felt no interest whatsoever. His standards had always been high, and casual attention meant little to him.

He walked around the room, briefly inspecting the furnishings, before stopping in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

"Nice view."

Outside the glass stretched an endless expanse of blue. The hotel had been built right by the sea, and from this height, the ocean seemed calm and boundless.

After appreciating the scenery for a moment, Shirou Emiya released Shuna and little Rimuru from Tempest.

The two had never seen the sea before.

The instant they appeared, their attention was completely stolen by the view.

"Father!"

Little Rimuru grabbed Shirou Emiya's hand, her eyes shining with excitement.

"Let's go outside! I want to go to the beach!"

Beside her, Shuna said nothing, but the anticipation in her gaze was impossible to miss.

"That's exactly why I brought you out."

Shirou Emiya smiled and gestured toward the ocean beyond the window.

"Even though this trip is for deicide, we still have plenty of time."

"The birth of Heretic Gods isn't something we can control."

"Since that's the case, we might as well enjoy ourselves."

"After all, this is still a trip."

"Yay! Father is the best!"

Little Rimuru jumped happily on the spot. Shuna, standing beside her, also showed a soft smile.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?"

Shirou Emiya turned and headed for the door.

"Let's go."

With that, the three of them left the hotel and began exploring the city on the island.

They didn't return until night fell.

After a full day of wandering, Shirou Emiya brought Shuna and little Rimuru back to the hotel.

"So?"

He looked at them casually.

"Did you have fun?"

"I had so much fun!"

Little Rimuru answered without hesitation.

"I enjoyed it as well."

Shuna nodded, her tone more restrained but no less sincere.

"That's good."

Seeing little Rimuru still brimming with energy and Shuna maintaining her usual composure, Shirou Emiya smiled.

"Tomorrow, let's go explore some of the nearby cities."

Over the course of the day, they had already gone through most of the capital city of Cagliari on Sardinia.

"Eh? Really?"

Little Rimuru's eyes sparkled as if filled with stars.

"Of course."

Shirou Emiya gently ruffled her hair.

He was undeniably indulgent toward little Rimuru.

Shuna, however, hesitated.

"Lord Emiya... are you sure?"

"Won't this affect our next actions?"

Hearing her concern, Shirou Emiya answered calmly.

"Don't worry."

"As I said earlier, the timing of a Heretic God's descent isn't something we can influence."

"All we can do is wait."

"When one appears, my Super Instinct will notify me immediately. I'll feel it myself."

"That's when the real battle begins."

"Before that, waiting is unavoidable."

He paused briefly, then added,

"So if we're going to wait anyway, isn't it better to wait while enjoying ourselves rather than staying bored in a hotel?"

Shuna frowned slightly.

"But-"

She wanted to say more.

What Shirou Emiya was preparing to do was nothing less than deicide. From her perspective, shouldn't he be making thorough preparations instead of traveling leisurely?

Before she could voice those thoughts, Shirou Emiya interrupted her.

"Don't worry, Shuna."

"I won't lose."

"No matter what I'm doing, I can maintain my peak condition."

"So there's no need for concern."

His tone was steady.

Unshakable.

Looking at his expression, Shuna fell silent.

She understood very well how vital confidence was for someone who stood at the peak of strength.

"I understand, Lord Emiya."

She nodded.

"Let's continue our travels tomorrow."

"Yay! More traveling!"

Little Rimuru cheered the moment Shuna stopped objecting.

Time passed quietly.

Shirou Emiya, Shuna, and little Rimuru continued enjoying their stay on Sardinia.

Two full weeks went by.

During that time, Shirou Emiya sensed no sign of a Heretic God's descent.

He wasn't relying solely on his Super Instinct either. Long ago, he had deployed numerous familiars across the entire island, monitoring every corner of Sardinia.

Even so, no information came back.

Still, Shirou Emiya wasn't anxious.

He was confident.

The moment a Heretic God appeared, he would know.

And on that day, he would immediately head to their location.

That day arrived quietly.

After nearly two weeks of travel, having explored almost the entire island, Shirou Emiya and the two walked out of a supermarket.

They were preparing to return to their current residence.

The bags in their hands were filled with barbecue ingredients.

They planned to have an open-air barbecue on the beach that night.

Everything felt relaxed.

But then-

Shirou Emiya suddenly stopped.

His body stiffened for a brief instant.

"Father?"

Little Rimuru, holding his arm, noticed the change immediately.

She looked up at him with confusion.

"What's wrong?"

On the other side, Shuna tightened her grip on his sleeve, her expression turning serious.

"Lord Emiya... did you sense something?"

"Yes."

After a short pause, Shirou Emiya answered.

Through the eyes of one of his familiars, a distant scene had already unfolded before him.

In Sassari, far away, a young boy holding a golden sword stood facing a burly man wielding two massive clubs.

The divine power surging between them was overwhelming.

Just witnessing it left a deep impression.

"They finally appeared."

A faint smile formed on Shirou Emiya's lips.

He stored the shopping bags into his storage space and led Shuna and little Rimuru into a nearby alley.

With a quick incantation, he cast an invisibility spell over them.

Then, he leaped upward, carrying the two into the sky.

High above, Vimana was already waiting.

The golden airship hovered silently, concealed under its own invisibility spell.

It was as if it had been expecting his arrival all along.

Shirou Emiya stepped onto the deck and took his seat on the throne.

With a wave of his hand, a distant scene appeared before them.

Sassari.

Hundreds of kilometers away.

"There are... two of them."

Feeling the pressure radiating from the figures on the screen, Shuna immediately understood.

Her eyes widened.

"There are actually two Heretic Gods."

Shirou Emiya, who already grasped the situation, smiled calmly.

"So what if there are two?"

"They're still my prey."

Raising his voice, he gave the command.

"Vimana."

"Show me your full speed."

In the next instant, a flash of golden light erupted.

Vimana vanished from its position, shooting toward the distant horizon.
