A few weeks had passed since mine and Lilith's talk and me. Lilith had been friends for a month. This friendship wasn't my first but it was my best. She was always there through mine and my dad's fights. She was amazing.
It was now Christmas break and I was on my way to the park that Lilith had invited me too meet up at.
The wind caressed my face as I walked through the field finally catching a glimpse of the park where Lilith supposedly was after what felt like forever. I wave seeing Lilith in the distance, her hair sticking out because of the freshly dyed hot pink ends. I smile for the first time in a while and I look into Lilith's muddy brown eyes.
"Hey," I say content.
"Hi" Lilith said staring into my sky blue eyes.
I knew she struggled with eye contact due to her autism so this feels real. I haven't felt this kind of feeling in a so long I'm not sure what it is but it's special.
Lilith hugs me suddenly. I know she loves physical affection and I hug her back.
"I see your granny finally let you dye your hair" I say admiring her freshly dyed hot pink ends
"Yeah I think I did it right" she says stimming with her hands excitedly.
"It looks amazing you definitely did it right lils" I say smiling a big real smile.
Lilith grabs my hand and drags me over to the big swing and sits on it.
"Push me peasant" she says sitting like a Princess in a throne.
"If you insist your highness," I say as I start pushing the swing really high.
"Aaaaa not to high maz" she say falling onto her back laying on the swing hold on tight.
"Hmp, your no fun!" I say laughing as I slow down the swing.
Lilith jumps off the swing with a bright smile and starts running over to the roundabout but trips over a small stone and falls grazing her knee. I run over and kneel down to check if she was bleeding luckily she was not and I helped her up.
"And that's why we don't run everywhere!" I say walking over to the roundabout and sitting on it.
"Hmp," Lilith pouts as she walks over and sits next to me.
I stand up and start spinning us slowly I sit back down and look into Lilith's muddy brown eyes as she starts to smile as she watches the sunset. I sigh as I put my head on Lilith's shoulder watching the sunset with her.
