I stare out the window of my bedroom watching the glitter of winter fall. Christmas was always my favourite holiday. I hear a knock on the door, I rush downstairs and open the door thinking it was going to be my grandparents getting back from last minute shopping but I opened the door to a sobbing Mazikeen.I wrap my arms him tightly.
"Oh Maz," I say with a heavy heart.
I bring him into the house and walk him upstairs to my room. He sits down on my bed wiping away his tears.
"You look amazing in that dress," he say looking at my santa dress.
"No need for compliments right now Maz, please tell me what happened" I say extremely concerned.
He goes quiet all of a sudden. He looks down at the floor.
"Please, Maz" I say even more worried.
"Fine, I went downstairs wearing my Christmas suit I bought and my dad shouted at me and we started arguing and he told me to get out so I did and this was the only place I knew I was safe to go." He said taking of his hoodie to reveal the suit it had a beautiful maroon vest with a white fur lining his hair was also freshly cut.
"Don't listen to him you look so handsome. You can stay as long as you need to I'm sure my grandparents won't mind." I say sitting next to him.
"Thanks," he says laying his head on my shoulder.
We head downstairs, to see my grandad putting away the shopping and my grandma sitting down.
"Oh my is this the boy you've been talking about, Mazikeen was it?" My grandma says looking over at Maz.
"Yes, that's me." He said trying to sound cheerful.
"I must say, you look handsome in that suit Lilith picked a good one." She said proudly.
"Granny he's not my boyfriend for the last time!" I say flustered and look over at Maz who is equally flustered.
"Oops sorry, sweetie" my granny said laughing.
I grab Mazikeen and drag him back upstairs.
"Make sure to come down for dinner" granny shouts.
I slam the door and push Maz onto the bed.
"Well that was violent" Maz said jokingly
"Oh sorry, I guess I overreacted a bit," I said standing in front of him.
"It's fine Lils," he say sitting up on the bed.
"She's so annoying,I wish she would stay out of my private life, she always does this!" I say pacing back and forth infront of him.
"Lils, calm down," Maz said grabbing my arm softly. "Oh sorry guess I got carried away." I say turning to him before sitting down next to him and laying my head on his shoulder.
Mazikeens flushed with red blush.
"No, no it's ok to be mad at her!" he said extremely flustered. I giggle at his red cheeks "I know."
"dinner kids!" Granny shouted from downstairs.
I drag Maz back downstairs "I told you I'm not hungry." He says as we reach the kitchen
"Yeah and I said you have to atleast eat something" I say giving him a plate so he can pick some food from the selection. He picks up some salad and some chips but doesn't even look at the fish and heads to the living room. I grob my own food and go in to sit next to him on the couch.
I watch as he looks down at the plate but I can't make out his facial expression before it's covered by a smile as my granny starts talking to him. I start to dig in to my food as my grandparents continue to talk to Mazikeen but I can barely make out their words over my worried thoughts.
