The air inside the room instantly froze. Leo knit his brows deeply, staring at Daniel with a confused look full of disbelief. The alarm bells of caution inside his head rang all at once.
"Are you sure about what you just said?" Leo pressed, his voice dropping into a sharp, dangerous whisper. He pointed at Easter with his chin. "Don't tell me you want him to turn himself over to that place?"
Leo's sudden question immediately triggered a reaction from the other side of the table. Easter, who had been a passive listener until now, suddenly leaned his body forward with trembling eyes. "Where?" the boy asked, his initially cold voice now laced with deep curiosity.
Daniel let out a long sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, which felt stiff from the sudden tension Leo had caused. He shot Leo a look telling him to calm down, then gave a hand gesture downward. "Sit back down, Leo. Let me explain this slowly."
