The immense golden flame, as if resisting its fate of being absorbed, advanced on the barrier of gray light. It was like striking an immovable wall; it could only retreat in defiance.
Although the defense formed by the gray light was only a finger's breadth thick, it felt indestructibly solid to Zhao Zuo. The golden flame within the gray light began to dim, losing its earlier, dazzling brilliance.
Zhao Zuo calmly watched until the Huayang Bead had absorbed all of the golden flame.
The Huayang Bead turned a brilliant gold. A stream of golden light flowed from between Zhao Zuo's eyebrows and into the bead, causing golden patterns to sprout from its core. Soon, a lotus design traced in golden lines appeared on its surface. It looked tiny, yet it was suffused with a sacred aura.
The many illusory flames swiftly vanished, leaving only a small golden flame burning at the core of the Huayang Bead.
