Hilia walked out of the Divine Hall with an ugly expression on her face.
She really couldn't understand why the High Priest of Snow Fir Divine Hall acted like he was obsessed with money. This was a duty mandated by the Holy Court, but he still demanded a gold coin before he'd act.
His explanation was clever: he was very busy, he couldn't spare the time—unless Hilia donated a gold coin to the Divine Hall. With that coin, he could do something for her in her stead and then find the time to go with her.
Otherwise, Hilia would have to bring the pollutants to him; he'd purify them for free, just like he'd purified Duke's bracelet for free—but each meeting cost two silver coins.
He could purify only one item each time, otherwise, he'd "get overwhelmed."
"Lord Rose, why did you stop me from complaining to the Holy Court?" Hilia asked, puzzled.
