Chapter 9 - Chapter 5: A One-Star Warrior, an Encounter with the Bloodfang Tiger King (1/2)

In the forest.

A figure darted through the trees, footsteps ringing out crisply as he ran.

Only after sprinting three to four hundred meters did he finally stop.

"This is where the real danger begins," Su Yun muttered, standing on a narrow trail.

Every year, countless warriors died in the Ferocious Beast Gorge.

That was why most people chose to form teams—to reduce the chances of death.

Not everyone was as bold as Su Yun.

Or perhaps… as reckless.

More importantly, Su Yun did not want others to see his abilities yet.

Everything could wait until he had grown stronger.

Suddenly, a faint stench of blood drifted from ahead.

Su Yun's expression changed slightly as he vaguely spotted two massive figures lurking among the trees and bushes.

Grrr…

A deep, heavy growl rolled through the forest like muffled thunder.

Under Su Yun's gaze, two powerful paws crushed through the undergrowth, radiating brutal, violent intent.

"Bloodfang Tigers!"

Su Yun's muscles tensed, his pupils contracting.

The two ferocious beasts before him were large and lean, their pale red fur appearing soft yet capable of withstanding ordinary blades and weapons.

Their savage tiger heads twisted slightly as their pupils narrowed, locking firmly onto Su Yun.

Bloodfang Tigers were among the most vicious beasts in the Ferocious Beast Gorge.

What they were most famous for were their teeth—blood-red in color and as hard as refined steel.

Even the body of a one-star warrior could be crushed in an instant between their jaws.

Roar!

At that moment, one of the Bloodfang Tigers suddenly lunged forward.

As the saying went, clouds followed the dragon, and wind followed the tiger.

The Bloodfang Tiger charged forward amid a storm of blood-scented wind, delivering an overwhelming psychological impact.

Yet there was not a trace of fear in Su Yun's eyes—only anticipation.

"Nine-Tails Mode!"

He shouted inwardly.

In an instant.

Golden light surged across Su Yun's body, while black radiance spread from his chest in all directions.

His black pupils transformed into blood-red slit eyes.

Twisting his waist, he threw a punch!

There was no technique—only pure, overwhelming power!

Boom!

Golden light flashed.

The Bloodfang Tiger was smashed as if it had been struck by a speeding cargo truck on a highway.

It exploded on the spot, flesh and blood scattering everywhere.

Blood splashed across the ground, staining it crimson.

Ding! Host has killed a Bloodfang Tiger. Item dropped: Beginner God's Hand x1.

Su Yun froze for a moment.

Damn it!

He had blown apart a Bloodfang Tiger—one equivalent to an early-stage one-star warrior—with a single punch?

And it even dropped a Beginner God's Hand?

A satisfied curve lifted the corner of Su Yun's mouth as he turned to look at the other Bloodfang Tiger.

That tiger's fur instantly stood on end.

One look was enough—it knew this was an enemy it could not defeat!

It turned around and tried to flee!

"Trying to run? Stay right there."

Su Yun's mind moved.

Behind him, Nine-Tails chakra condensed into a demonic fox claw, which shot forward like lightning and seized the Bloodfang Tiger.

The beast had no strength to resist—not even the ability to struggle!

Boom!

Su Yun slammed a punch straight into the tiger's heart.

Crack!

The heart shattered.

The Bloodfang Tiger died instantly.

Scalding, foul-smelling blood gushed endlessly from its mouth.

Ding! Host has killed a Bloodfang Tiger. Item dropped: Beginner God's Hand x1.

After dealing with both Bloodfang Tigers, Su Yun finally calmed down a little.

Two lifetimes lived—this was his first time killing.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"They wanted to eat me. I was only fighting back."

Su Yun gave himself that mental reassurance.

After two or three minutes, he finally opened his eyes.

Then, using the demonic fox claws, he began collecting materials from the Bloodfang Tigers.

Their teeth could be refined into medicine.

An intact pelt could sell for a high price.

Not to mention the tiger blood, tiger bones, and… tiger whip.

By the end, all that remained on the ground were blood-soaked carcasses.
