Irene
My whole body is in pains. Every nerve ending in me prickles with an unbearable pain I can't stand.
I want all of this to end. When will this pain go away?
Wait, where am I?
I slowly open my eyes and take in my surroundings.
A much softer bed than the metal those fuckers made me sleep on. Painted walls, a bigger space, illuminated area, better ventilation...
I'm no longer at those goons' hideout. I'm home.
I properly snap my eyes open.
I'm at home home. Not at Kael's place.
"Kae!?" I spring up to a sitting position, my neck whipping around to find a sign of him.
"It's alright. I'm here," his drowsy voice fills my ears.
I look to the other side of the bed to see him resting against the wall, a cup of coffee in his left hand.
"Kael?" I call again, this time my voice is tinged with concern.
He looks different. Too different infact.
