Chapter 79 - Making Dreams Come True -77

"All that's left now is for Peter to summon the Divine Dragon to grant our wishes."

"Heee~~" Vivi dragged out her voice as she lifted the three-star ball toward the sun, staring at it, but found nothing special about it.

At that moment, Peter stepped forward, snatching the Dragon Balls from their hands in anger.

"You don't understand their value! If Mikita hadn't stumbled upon one while cleaning the room and asked me about it, I wouldn't have told you anything."

He placed the two balls with the remaining five he had kept close to his chest.

As soon as all seven gathered, they suddenly began to glow on their own.

"Eh! They're shining! So it's real after all!"

Vivi shouted in excitement, starting to truly believe in the existence of the Divine Dragon.

Peter held the seven glowing balls close and turned toward the women, especially Vivi, who had only recently joined them. He explained:

"These Dragon Balls were crafted by my own abilities. There are seven in total. When they're gathered together, they can summon the Divine Dragon to grant any wish.

Treasures, eternal life, or other desires—so long as it's not something outrageous, it can be fulfilled."

"Incredible! Something this amazing, and you were the one who made them, Peter?!

But if you can create them, why don't you use them for your own wishes?"

Vivi's curiosity was endless.

Peter cast her a weary look.

"That's different. Humanity invented gunpowder, but did you ever see someone blow themselves up in front of you just to prove it?"

Vivi's face flushed red, and she stuck out her tongue in embarrassment.

Since the secret was exposed, Peter decided there was no harm in summoning the dragon now—it would serve as preparation for his future plans.

"Step back a little, I'll begin now."

He set the balls on the ground, while the women retreated nervously, their fear mixed with anticipation, waiting to see if a real dragon would appear.

Once he was certain they were ready, Peter extended his hands and shouted loudly:

"Come forth, Divine Dragon! Appear and grant my wish!!"

The moment the chant left his mouth, a deafening thunder roared.

Dark clouds gathered rapidly, covering the once clear sky in an instant.

The astonished women screamed, and they were not the only ones.

Across the entire kingdom of Alabasta, people thought rain was finally coming. Citizens rushed joyfully into the streets.

But it wasn't only Alabasta—in the east, west, south, north, and even in the sky ten thousand meters above, clouds spread to cover the entire world.

Day turned to night in some places, and starry skies vanished elsewhere.

No one understood what was happening, each believing it was a local phenomenon, unaware the entire world was experiencing the same event.

At Rain Dinners, where everyone was gathered, the atmosphere was complete for the dragon's arrival.

A bolt of lightning nearly struck Peter, followed by a golden column of light shooting from the seven balls, illuminating all of Rainbase.

The majestic scene left Robin and the others stunned, while citizens and tourists alike stood in awe, unable to believe their eyes.

Then, from within the pillar, the Divine Dragon finally appeared.

Its massive green body stretched for hundreds of meters, stirring cries of astonishment throughout the city.

Inside, the dragon brimmed with pride:

"My first summoning, and so many humans watching? Then I must appear in full majesty—I can't lower my dignity!"

It lowered its head, crimson eyes glaring downward.

"The one who gathered the balls and summoned me is… huh?! Wait! Isn't this Peter-sama?!"

"I didn't expect you to be the one to summon me—my apologies for the delay, my lord."

In an instant, the majestic image of the dragon collapsed before the women, turning into a sycophantic creature.

Peter folded his arms, frowning in annoyance.

"Were you trying to strike me with lightning?! You made me stand here for five minutes watching your pointless show!"

The dragon trembled, nearly bowing in fear.

"I-I'm sorry… I was just too excited for my first appearance."

"Enough chatter. Spare me your speeches, I want to start making wishes."

"Y-yes! Please, tell me your wish. Any wish, though at most two."

Peter sneered mockingly.

"Any wish? Fine—make me a Super Saiyan!"

The dragon faltered nervously.

"Th-that… my lord knows I cannot surpass the limits set by my creator—which is you."

Peter rolled his eyes.

"Showing off in front of me, when you're nothing more than what I created? Remember your place."

He fell silent, considering the many wishes he could ask for.

Even as the dragon's creator, he couldn't summon it constantly without long intervals—it would drain its power entirely.

While he was thinking, Hina shyly stepped forward, hiding her face as she whispered:

"Um… I've started noticing wrinkles on my face… so could you…?"

Peter smirked, understanding her intent, but before he could reply, Robin, Stussy, and the others rushed forward, flooding him with their own requests.

He raised his hand angrily.

"Enough! Your turn will come later."

Then he turned to the dragon seriously.

"My first wish… is that I and my women remain eternally young, never aging, never falling ill, and immune to poison!"

The dragon hesitated.

"M-my lord… that is actually four wishes combined…"

Peter exhaled coldly.

"What? Can't do it? Useless creature."

Flustered, the dragon quickly corrected himself, and Peter rephrased:

"Fine, let's make it simpler: eternal youth and immunity to poison. Can you do that?"

"Y-yes! Of course!"

The dragon's eyes glowed red, and everyone felt their bodies lighten.

"The wish has been granted. I also removed scars, wrinkles, and internal damage."

Hina pulled out a small mirror, realizing her wrinkles were gone. The others also discovered their flaws had vanished.

Cheers erupted, while Peter smiled in satisfaction.

"Well done, Dragon."

Then he continued:

"My second wish… grant me the hidden potential awakened by the Great Namek Elder!"

The women froze in shock at the strange request, while Robin silently noted the name "Namekian" for her research, linking it to "Saiyan."

The dragon remained silent for several minutes, as if sensing something, before finally responding:

"That wish is simple—I shall grant it now."

Its eyes glowed red once again.

In the next instant, Peter felt changes coursing through his body, his mind suddenly filling with vast knowledge of how to use this new power.

With both wishes fulfilled, the dragon sighed in relief inwardly.

"I've granted your wishes, now I must—"

"Wait, Dragon." Peter cut him off before he could vanish.

"In the next month or two, I'll need you again to grant me another wish."

The dragon nearly cried in despair. Wasn't this master overburdening a mere unpaid worker too much? Couldn't Peter show some mercy?

"What? You can't?" Peter asked sharply, frowning.

"N-no… I can, of course. No problem." The dragon replied reluctantly. He said a final farewell, ascending into the sky with the Dragon Balls, preparing to scatter them across the world as destined.

But Peter wouldn't allow it.

Leaping swiftly, he caught the balls again before they could scatter. As their creator, he had special control over them.

Even if they did disperse, he could always sense their locations—but he had no desire to waste time searching.

"Trying to escape? Get back to work."

Channeling his power, Peter reactivated the balls, restoring them to their original state: orange with glowing red stars.

The Divine Dragon, who had just been about to rest, could only remain silent: "..."

As it vanished, the dark clouds slowly faded, returning the sky to clarity.

The girls rushed toward Peter immediately.

Nami stared at the Dragon Balls in awe, reaching out with her small hand to touch them.

"Peter… does this mean if we gather the seven balls, we can summon the Divine Dragon again and again?"

But Peter wasn't oblivious to her scheming. He flicked his tail, striking her hand, making her yelp in pain.

"Stop entertaining foolish ideas. Normally, after granting wishes, the balls scatter across the world and turn into inert stones for an entire year before regaining power.

As their creator, I used certain privileges. But even so, I can't exploit their power without limit, or the dragon itself would vanish."

Though I could always make another one… he added silently in his heart.

Peter's words dampened some of their excitement, but the miracle of summoning a dragon to grant wishes was unforgettable. On their way back, the girls continued chatting about the wishes they'd want.

Even after returning to the basement, their excitement hadn't subsided. As Peter put the balls away, they kept discussing the shock of what they'd witnessed.

Suddenly, Kaya voiced the question lingering in all their hearts:

"Peter… are you really not a god?"

Hina stirred her juice with a straw, sighing in amazement.

"A dragon that grants wishes… that's something from fairy tales. And you, as the creator of such orbs, I'd say the word 'god' isn't far off."

Peter smiled.

"God? Of course I am."

He sat beside Kaya, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"And not just me. You too—if you reach a level of power that can move mountains and fill seas, you can be considered goddesses.

Even those despicable Celestial Dragons dare call themselves gods or children of gods. Who would dare deny us?"

Kaya, who had never been so close to Peter, blushed furiously, hiding her face in his chest. She was the only one among them who hadn't yet shared such a bond with him.

Peter laughed, cupping her flushed cheeks.

"One day, we'll become immortal, wielding unimaginable power. Even if we're not gods, to ordinary humans we'd be no different."

Then he added with a sly smile:

"But that doesn't include you, Kaya."

The girl's eyes widened in shock, her blush fading into deep sorrow.

"Why not?"

Peter chuckled.

"Because you're not my woman yet. The wishes I made didn't include you."

Seeing his mischievous grin and Kaya's troubled state, Nami and the others sighed inwardly.

"Even if he's a god… he's just a lecherous god!"

But no matter what they said, Peter had broken the tension that had begun to grow between them, restoring the atmosphere to normal.

They realized that despite his overwhelming power, Peter was still the same playful man, not some distant, aloof god.

Once the mood had lightened, curiosity overwhelmed them. They pressed him to explain why he had created such mysterious balls in the first place.

Peter replied that it was like a genetic mutation. The ability to create Dragon Balls had always belonged to the Namekians. As for him, the system had forced it upon him, and it couldn't be passed down to his descendants. He summed it up as a "positive genetic mutation."

"Don't you understand what a 'beneficial genetic mutation' means?!" he laughed.

Though his words seemed exaggerated, the girls, recalling his mysterious origins and mastery of overwhelming Ki energy, found it believable.

Especially when Robin reminded them that Peter could transform into a giant ape dozens of meters tall. With that, they believed without hesitation.

Even so, while the others were laughing and asking endless questions, Robin sat quietly aside, lost in thought, her heart weighed down by something unspoken.
