c122: Death of Cell! Rewrite History
Boom!
Cell's aura flared, his killing intent shaking the ruined battlefield. His fury had reached an astonishing level, the earth trembling beneath the sheer pressure. At this point in the Dragon Ball timeline, the appearance of Super Saiyans had already shaken the balance of the universe but Cell was the pinnacle of that threat, the so-called "perfect being."
Yet in front of him, Luya raised a single finger, pointing straight at Cell with provocative disdain.
"Damn you!!" Cell's voice twisted with rage as he lunged.
The bio-android's body blurred, unleashing a flurry of Shadowless Punches, blows infused with the genes of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Frieza. Each strike was lethal, capable of splitting mountains. But Luya stood firm, calmly blocking every hit without countering once.
"Drink!!"
With one final heavy blow, Cell forced Luya back a few steps. He smirked, convinced he had turned the tide.
"Hmph! What's wrong? That's all your strength? I haven't even gone full power yet!" Cell taunted, his eyes glinting with malice.
Luya looked at his palm and then at Cell. "Didn't eat breakfast, did you?"
"What?!" Cell's eyes widened. He knew he hadn't held back yet this Saiyan treated his power as nothing.
Luya sighed in disappointment. "Honestly, I expected more. But I guess it's natural. I've already surpassed what you can even comprehend."
From afar, Krillin clenched his fists. "Is this guy mocking Cell?!"
Piccolo's expression was grim. "No. This isn't a joke. His ki… I can't sense its limits."
Tien added with awe, "If Goku were alive to see this… he'd be thrilled."
The mention of Goku dampened everyone's hearts. Gohan lowered his head, guilt piercing his chest. If Dad hadn't sacrificed himself…
He raised his gaze again, his eyes burning with fury at Cell.
"Impossible! You're bluffing! I am Perfect Cell the ultimate lifeform!" Cell roared, condensing energy into a glowing spinning disc.
Krillin gasped. "That's…! Frieza's Destructo Disk?!"
Luya smirked. "Go ahead. Let's see it."
"Die!!!" Cell hurled the disk with a roar.
Luya lifted his hand like a blade. One clean strike slash! and the deadly energy disc split apart, dispersing harmlessly.
"What?!" Cell froze.
Tien's jaw dropped. "That… that was just like when Gohan overwhelmed Cell before. Effortless!"
Krillin exhaled in relief. "Maybe… Earth really is safe this time."
But Vegeta scowled, his pride wounded. He had noticed something no one else had: Luya's tail swayed behind him.
"A Saiyan…" Vegeta's teeth ground together. "Another damned Saiyan stronger than me?!"
Cell snarled, refusing to be humiliated further. "You think you've won?! Watch closely, I'll blow this planet apart if I have to!"
His body shot upward, hands cupped.
"Kaaa…meee…haa…"
Piccolo paled. "No! At full power from that height, his Kamehameha could destroy the Earth itself!"
Everyone panicked except Luya. His lips curved. "Oh? Planning to use instant transmission to detonate point-blank as well? Typical."
Cell's concentration faltered. He knows my strategy?!
Luya's golden aura ignited, the battlefield blazing as his hair spiked upward Super Saiyan transformation!
Everyone froze.
"What?!" Cell stammered, nearly dropping his attack.
"No way!" Krillin gasped.
Gohan's face was pale, sweat dripping down. Even in his ascended Super Saiyan 2 state, he could feel it: Luya's ki dwarfed his own.
"D-Damn you!!" Cell screamed, blasting his full-power Kamehameha downward.
"Go ahead," Luya sneered, gathering his own energy. "Turtle School… Kamehameha!!"
The two titanic waves collided, ripping the earth apart. Dust, fire, and shockwaves consumed the battlefield. But Luya's power surged steadily, crushing Cell's beam.
"Impossible!! I'm Perfect Cell the strongest in existence! I can't lose!" Cell screamed, his body straining.
Luya's eyes hardened. "Your journey ends here, Cell. Sleep forever beneath this earth!"
With one last roar, Luya poured everything into his blast. The golden Kamehameha swallowed Cell whole, his scream echoing as his body disintegrated atom by atom until nothing remained not even his brain nucleus.
Silence.
The Z-Fighters collapsed in relief.
Luya lowered his hand, exhaling.
[Ding! Mission progress: 2/5. Host has defeated Perfect Cell.]
Krillin stepped forward hesitantly. "Uh… who exactly are you?"
Luya smirked. "Just a Saiyan."
"Lies!" Vegeta barked. "All Saiyans were destroyed with Planet Vegeta! Only Kakarot, myself, and Trunks survived!"
"Oh?" Luya tilted his head. "Were you there when Frieza destroyed it?"
Vegeta froze, unable to respond.
Yamcha whispered, "He has a tail, and he can transform… No way he's an android. He really might be a Saiyan."
"Then tell me this!" Vegeta demanded. "What's the true homeworld of the Saiyans?!"
Luya answered calmly: "Planet Sadala."
The battlefield fell silent. Even Vegeta stiffened. Almost no one knew that truth—that Planet Vegeta was not their birthplace, but a conquered world.
Luya chuckled. "Anyway, I got what I came for. My job here is done."
He turned to Gohan. "Congratulations. You've reached a new stage—Super Saiyan 2. Don't waste it. Don't carry guilt for your father. He'll return."
"Super Saiyan… 2?" Piccolo repeated, eyes narrowing.
Before they could ask further, Luya's body shimmered and vanished into thin air.
"Another time traveler?" Krillin muttered uneasily.
Tien frowned. "Whoever he is, he knew too much about us."
…
Elsewhere, Luya reappeared on a cliff, yawning. "System, can I go home now?"
[Warning: Missions incomplete. Excessive use of time travel may attract the attention of gods.]
Luya groaned. "Seriously? Then what was the point of rewarding me with it?"
[Luck, host. Pure luck.]
"Some luck… feels more like stepping on crap," Luya muttered.
As his figure blurred again into another timeline, deep in the void a sinister voice echoed:
"…Strange. Someone is meddling with time. Could it be a god tracking me? Hmph. I must accelerate my plan before they interfere."
…
When Luya opened his eyes, he was in a barren desert. His eyes narrowed he could feel an overwhelming ki.
"This presence… Majin Buu!!"
[Ding! New task unlocked: Majin Buu Battlefield. Sign-in successful!]
Luya smirked, vanishing instantly with teleportation.
