Chapter 14 - You Stand No Chance

"May I return the favor then?" Nitaru grinned widely, putting his obsidian dagger to Akujin's throat.

Akujin immediately kicked Nitaru, flipping herself forward to prevent any attack that Nitaru might suddenly unleash. She knew Nitaru was a completely different range of power and knew she couldn't just toy around with him like how she did with the rest of them. Akujin precisely measured every single movement of Nitaru's body, calculating his next move carefully so that she can counter perfectly. Nitaru emerged and quickly escalated the surroundings, pushing off his feet heavily and aiming his daggers towards Akujin. Seeing this, Akujin bended backwards and flipped onto her side to strike Nitaru with her golden sword. Nitaru jumped up, flipping his own body and landing onto the ground on one hand, with his body doing an intentional handstand.

Akujin grinned at his flexible agility, precisely aiming her sword towards his hips, which Nitaru swiftly dodged by moving backwards and aiming his daggers towards Akujin angrily. Gyonu took the chance to join the clashes of blades, using his own pistol and aiming for Akujin. Sensing the new pestilence that joined the fight, Akujin turned her head abruptly, looking right at Gyonu with the scariest look to intimidate him, which frightened him slightly due to her crazy expression. Gyonu pressed the trigger on his pistol, releasing the bullet at tumbling speeds. Akujin flicked the bullet away with her golden sword, shooting the bullet at a dangerous speed towards one of the weakening skyscrapers. As the opportunity rose, Akujin took it as an advantage and prepared her dangerous technique.

"Dance of the Dragon: Sinister Delusion."

Her technique unleashed, whipping the air violently and cracking the ground surrounding her. So much energy had released that the skyscrapers surrounding her felt the insane vibrations and shook with threatening leans of tumbling over. The ground cracked aggressively, and Nitaru parried the attack with his own.

"Cruel Night of the Shadow."

Nitaru slashed Akujin's technique, clicking his blades against the technique directly and swooshing the air around to twist and corrupt the technique to convert it into his own. Akujin saw and grinned at his intelligent response to her technique, and she slashed her golden blade against his two obsidian daggers. Nitaru had successfully diverted and corrupted her technique, preventing too much damage or any possible injuries that could've occurred. Ryota and Yuja both had gained enough energy to join the fight, preparing their techniques.

"This will be me and Nitaru only," Akujin smiled devilishly, snapping her fingers which froze Ryota and Yuja, as well as Gyonu, Akito, Ezra, Ruka, and Zak.

Time had seemed to slow down, twisting and corrupting the own sense of time to confuse Nitaru, which wasn't the case obviously. The environment shifted, seeming to have changed to an altering dimension. It seemed as if Akujin had the surroundings of Nitaru and her slow down so that they can continue fighting without interruption.

"I see what you did there... you did this on purpose didn't you?" Nitaru grinned, annoyed yet intrigued.

Akujin flipped herself forward, trying to injure Nitaru but his swiftly dodges her incoming attack, "You got quite the moves, I can say. Thought you might not last any longer after this..."

Akujin suddenly claps her hands together, summoning energy as she begins to prepare her technique. Nitaru, knowing this could be bad, flings himself at her, doing anything to stop her incoming attack. The others were frozen in time so it was up to him to defeat Akujin alone, no matter how difficult it was going to be. All he knew that he just had to give it his all and hope for the best.

Angrily, Akujin gritted her teeth with annoyance as Nitaru kept distracting her from being able to unleash her technique. She pressed her foot into the ground harder, trying to speed up the process of the preparation so that she can unleash it sooner rather than later. Akujin was agitated, and for the first time, her eyes flickered with a sense of -- overwhelmed. She clearly underestimated Nitaru because she knew that she couldn't keep up with his movements of his daggers. In desperation, she grasped her golden sword, swinging it around furiously.

"You're annoying!" She yelled angrily, her voice raspy from the intense anger boiling up inside of her that was ready to spill at any given moment.

Nitaru grinned, knowing he was pissing her off. Akujin suddenly converted the environment back to its original form, making everyone unfreeze and collapse to the ground. Nitaru continued his movements, swishing his sword through the air mercilessly as he chased Akujin. Akujin knew she was getting exhausted, and she knew she had to do something before she would ultimately be defeated by Nitaru, who she found as a newbie. She can already imagine the humiliation of being defeated by a Assassin who hasn't even been part of the Organization for more than two years. Her blood boiled, and her anger rose to higher peaks.

"You stand no chance, Akujin, do you?" Ryota taunted in a mocking laugh as he approached Nitaru and her fighting, his swords drawn out.

"Shut up!" Akujin screamed. Those words were all that it took to send Akujin into a chaotic state. She seemed to have lost all her sanity. Nitaru took this opportunity, swinging his daggers in particular and peculiar way to try and trick Akujin's vision.

"Daggers of Death!" He slashed Akujin's arm. Then, she suddenly disappeared. He was shocked. How was she able to disappear that quickly without him noticing. His heart raced with a rush of anxiety, as if his body was alerting him that something was coming.

"Nitaru! Look out!" Yuja yelled, and as Nitaru turns around, Akujin's golden sword makes contact with his chest, slicing an x-shaped wound into his torso. Nitaru coughs up blood, his eyes widening as he sees Akujin grinning so sinisterly.

"Do you even stand a chance, Nitaru? Especially with those unmastered senses, hm?" Akujin taunts.

Nitaru slowly fell to the ground, falling onto his back. Everything seemed to happen too fast, and before he could fully comprehend it despite his wounds, everything faded to black.
