Anthony opened the backpack he was storing in the cabin and took out two neck pillows. One grey, one black. As he hurried into the airport, an attendant approached him asking if he would like to buy one of their couple sets.
Without a second thought, he had bought one and stuffed them in his backpack. If he gave Ryan one, would he take it?
Ryan held his phone, staring at Carl's chatbox. He started to type.
"I'm leaving now…"
Then he cleared everything. His last message was still undelivered. A tiny part of him kept hoping he would get a notification. A text or a call. A 'stay a little longer.'
Anything really. But he knew that wouldn't happen.
Carl clearly didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.
