*The ninjas are still stuck on the Dark Island. Dr. Julien finishes bandaging Lloyd's leg.*
"Can I still fight?" Lloyd asked.
"Hmm, I'm sorry. That leg will take weeks to heal." said Julien.
"We don't have weeks," Lloyd grunts, looking over at Nalia, who has taken out her diary and is writing something down while being careful with her left shoulder.
"The battle between good and evil will be decided today." said Wu.
"And we can't even get to the fight, much less get off this island." said Kai.
"Ah. I wonder if I'll ever see Nya again." said Jay.
"Perhaps it's best to think of our friends as we remember them in our hearts, not as they are now." said Zane.
"But I don't remember my father any other way." said Lloyd.
"Your father loved you. It was the evil of the Great Devourer that corrupted him." said Misako.
"Sensei, I don't understand. The prophecy said the Green Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord. Why didn't we win?" Kai questioned.
"I... don't know." said Wu.
"Don't know? You're Sensei! You always know! You have a long whi—" Jay was cut off as he and the others started hearing somebody humming; they turned their heads over to Nalia.
Nalia had gotten up from where she was sitting and began walking around as she made the sand silhouettes of random things.

Nalia jumped up on a broken piece of the Bounty; stars began surrounding her as she started glowing.

Nalia made herself a sand wave and surfed down to the ninjas, gliding around them as they got surrounded by the beauty of space and its wonders.

The space around them slowly started fading away as Nalia took Lloyd's hands, smiling at him, and had her forehead lean up against his.
"On this path, there are moments that you can't escape without lasting scars
When you're born in this world, it's your chance to write history, leave your mark
Do good to be good, like you always would

Set your course into the waves
Turn the darkness into day
Carry on and sail away.~"
Lloyd's eyes widened at the words in her song, and it seemed to spark something in his heart.
Nalia smiled as she slowly let go of his hands and moved away.
"Ninja never quit, and I'm not giving up on you guys," said Nalia, looking at everyone. "Sensei Wu, there must be some message to learn. A lesson. A word of wisdom. Just a word? Something. You always have something to inspire the team."
"For once, I'm afraid there is nothing to learn. Only that evil has won," said Wu.
"Wow, I sang a song, and not even that worked." Nalia pouted a little, crossing her arms as she thought it would have done more than heal their injuries.
"If Sensei doesn't have a lesson, then I do. I was nothing but trouble, but then I met you guys. You took me in. It showed me the importance of being brave, the importance of being strong. And most importantly, being good." Lloyd walks over and takes Nalia's hand in his. "When this battle first began, when the First Spinjitzu Master fought the Overlord, his back was up against the wall, and he knew it was all over. Did he quit? No. He found a way to keep the fight going. He passed his Elemental Powers to us. Of all people, a bunch of kids. But there must have been a reason he chose us. I think it's because he knew we'd never back down; we'd never give up. We've learned the ancient ways of the ninja. And ninja never quit."
"He's right. If that means we must swim the sea to get off this island, then so be it." Kai starts wading in the ocean.
"The entire ocean? But I didn't bring my floaties." said Jay.
"Ugh."
"Well, if you got a better plan..." said Cole.
"I don't, but he may." Zane points to his Falcon.
"Ooh, the Falcon. He must have found something." said Julien.
"It looks like you're better at inspiring people than my singing," said Nalia, looking at him.
A playful smile grew on Lloyd's face. "I think your singing was very inspiring; it helped me." He gently squeezed her hand.
Nalia started blushing at what he said, which made her shy, but she still smiled at him. "If it could help you, I'm happy it worked." She returned the gesture by squeezing his hand gently, too.
"Your singing always works, starlight; it even healed our injuries," said Lloyd, wrapping an arm around her. "Thank you."
"Anything for you and the others," said Nalia, smiling up at him.
*A little later, everyone climbs a mountain on Kai's Fire Mech. They arrive at the Temple of Light.*
"You brought us back to the Temple of Light? I do not understand. We've already been here." said Zane.
"This location, I've seen this before. I just never understood it." Misako looks at a scroll with the Temple's layouts.
Kai grunts. "I think I found something. It's just like the map." He inserts his Elemental Blade inside a slot.
"There's one more over there." said Wu.
"And here." said Julien.
"And over here." said Nalia.
They each insert their Blades, opening up a hidden platform.
"What is it?" Kai asked.
"Cool." sadi Jay.
"It is the fighting suit the First Spinjitzu Master used when he battled the Overlord." Misako explained.
Nalia let out a long whistle. "Damn, the old man had this."
"You mean the First Spinjitzu Master once sat here? Haha, get out of here!" Cole occupies the mech. "How do you make this thing work?"
Julien sighs. "Sadly, I think time has done her in. She's only a relic now."
"If it worked for the First Spinjitzu Master, perhaps it will work for the next Spinjitzu Master?" said Wu.
"Huh, that would make sense, coming from the old man." Nalia thought to herself.
"It's worth a shot." Cole climbs out so Lloyd can try it.
"Hey, watch out." Cole jumps off the mech.
"Hmm, nothing." The mech suddenly activates. "Whoa!"
"Whoa!" said Cole.
"Looking good!" said Kai.
"Killer!" said Jay
"Amazing!" said Zane and Nalia.
"Well, I know how he is getting to Ninjago, but what about us?" Misako questioned.
Jay hears a roar outside. "I know that sound. It's our dragon!"
"I believe we just found our way off this rock." said Wu.
*The ninjas head back to Ninjago.*
"I see Ninjago. We're not far away!" Kai points to purple light coming out of the clouds.
"Oh, you sure that's Ninjago?" Cole asked.
"Wow." said Jay.
"Oh, mangos." said Nalia.
Kai sees a building that wasn't there before. "What is that thing?"
"Garmatron." said Wu.
"It's turned into a fortress?" Misako questioned.
"But where's the Overlord?" Julien asked as they land on the ground and hide.
"He's turned everyone evil." said Kai.
"Oh, just like Nya." said Jay.
"I don't like this one bit." said Nalia.
"And now they're helping his cause. I can't wait to see the look on the Overlord's face when he gets a load of us," said Cole.
"Oh, my goodness." The Garmatron blasts some Dark Matter toward their direction. "Oh, sweet mother may I." said Jay.
"Look out, Jay!" said Kai.
"Is that the look you were hoping for?" Zane asked.
"Zane, no." said Jay.
"The metamorphosis is complete. The Overlord's changed into his original form." Misako points toward the top of Garmatron.
"But we can't fly up there." said Cole.
"We have my father's Golden mech. We have to draw their fire to help Lloyd use the mech against the Overlord." said Wu.
"We hear you loud and clear." The ninjas, Nalia, Wu, and Misako fly on the dragon. "Everyone, hold on tight!"
"Wait. Wait. Wait. Now!" shouted Kozu, and the Stone Army fires at them.
"Look out, Sensei!" shouted Cole.
Nalia quickly made a sand shield, blocking what she could of the blast while they were flying.
"Pull up! Quick, pull up!" said Kai.
"To damn close." said Nalia with a heavy sigh.
"The Stone Army is protecting its master. They will never let Lloyd get close." said Misako.
"Then we have to get close." said Wu.
"Yeah. I knew they'd be back." said Dareth as he saw the ninjas had returned.
"Time to bring out the big buttons." Lloyd slashes at a group of Stone Warriors. "Ninja—" The mech's arm gets shot off. Nya laughs and keeps shooting at him until he falls over.
"Lloyd!" shouted Nalia.
"He's been hit." said Wu.
"We need to protect him." said Misako.
"Ugh. Oh, no! Ugh." said Lloyd.
"Ninja, go!" The ninjas jump out and fought for Lloyd.
Nalia took a deep breath and jumped with the ninjas as she started singing.

"Ah. I'm okay." said Lloyd.
"Yeah, but are we?" said Jay, until they heard Nalia's singing.
"This is destiny", he says

"Ice!" Zane makes a shield to protect them from Dark Matter, with Nalia joining in by making her sand shield.
"Good job, Zane! Nalia!" Nya breaks the Ice. "Fire!" shouted Kai.
Nya retreats back up the building. The ninjas and Nalia are outnumbered.
"I know we've always drawn a crowd, but this is ridiculous." said Jay.
"How can you be making jokes at a time like this?" Kai asked.
"Hey, if I'm going down, might as well go down laughing." said Jay.
"If this is how we're going to go down, I'm proud to be fighting alongside my brothers and sister." said Zane.
"Hear, hear." said Cole.
"Don't you guys, fucking give up just yet!" shouted Nalia, as she slammed a fist into the ground, causing a shockwave that had the stone warriors lose their balance.
"Crystal fire burns spire a blazing ruin
It's the fight for our lives
Only few win
Enemies amass, surround, overwhelm
We suffer loss all throughout the realm
"This is destiny", he says

Nalia formed a bright sand wall around them and summoned stars to fire at the stone warriors while trying to control her healing voice, only to affect the ninjas. But it wasn't working that well.
"Wow, I've never seen her this serious." said Kai, knocking over a stone warrior.
"Looks like the risk was high enough for her to stop being lazy," said Jay while fighting off a few stone warriors.
Nalia glared over at Jay as her eyes were glowing. "Not the time for jokes."
"Scary," said Cole as he used his earth powers on a group of stone warriors.
"At this rate, we'll be able to hold on for a little longer," said Zane, freezing a few stone warriors.
"This is destiny", he says

Nalia could feel her energy slowly going down because of how much power she was using and trying to control her healing voice, which was much more complicated than her full strength. And she wasn't even going all out; otherwise, she would have made it worse for everyone.
"Keep fighting! Unh. Never give up!" shouted Lloyd.
"Ninja never quit!" shouted Kai.
"Ninja, go!" They use Spinjitzu, but Nya stops them.
"We're doomed, guys." said Jay.
The Army suddenly stops attacking.
"What happened?" Kai asked.
"They are frozen." said Zane.
Nalia was breathing heavily, leaning against Cole to avoid losing balance.
"All hail the Brown Ninja! What do you command?" said Kozu.
"Brown Ninja?" Jay questioned.
"Hehe, what's up, fellas? Looks like we all know who's in command now." said Dareth, waving to the ninjas.
"The helmet controls the Army. Well done." said Cole, while helping Nalia stay on her feets.
"Oh, that means we now stand a fighting chance." said Jay.
"I need to get to the top of that fortress. I may not be able to get there by myself, but with your help, I can face him." said Lloyd.
"Ninja, go!" They activate their Elemental Blades.
Nalia summoned a few stars and had them surround her; she had to be creative since her staff was broken.
"Where'd you get those? I want one." said Dareth.
"You too, Brown Ninja." Kai gives him his Blade. "Today, you're one of us. Shall we do it once more, just for old times' sake?"
"Ninja, go! Army! About face! Stone Army, go!" The Army runs up the stairs, but Nya shoots them. "You better get this back." Dareth gives Kai his Blade back.
"Let's help them out." They start flying, but Nya shoots them. "We're hit!" shouted Misako.
"We have to land. This is as far as we can go." said Wu.
"Look out!" shouted Jay as Cole gets hit with Dark Matter.
"No!" shouted Nalia.
"Cole, come on. Get up!" said Lloyd.
"Ugh. I'm hit. Go! Go on... without me. Ugh." said Cole.
"We need to move. Now!" said Kai.
Jay pushes Lloyd before he gets hit with Dark Matter, taking the shot instead.
"Jay!" shouted Lloyd and Nalia.
"Get out of the way!" said Jay.
"Don't look! Just keep climbing!" said Kai.
"Ugh. From my calculations, with the distance remaining to the top, the odds are that only one of us is going to make it." said Zane.
Nalia looked down at her hands and closed them in anger. As her eyes slowly started glowing. "I'll make him pain, no matter what."
"Then let's beat the odds!" said Lloyd.
Jay and Cole have been corrupted by Darkness and come after them, holding up their Elemental Blades.
"Go on. I'll hold them back." said Zane.
They both attempt to strike Zane, but he blocks the blades with his own. Lloyd, Nalia, and Kai continue up the steps and encounter a corrupted Nya inside a machine. She cackles maniacally.
"Nya!" said Kai, in shock that she had already caught up. "I'm gonna draw her fire so you two can make it to the top."
Nya starts shooting Darkness at Kai, Nalia and Lloyd. Kai blocks the darkness with his Elemental Blade.
"No, don't! We can do this together." said Lloyd.
"No. There's only one Green Ninja. This is your fight, and Nalia will have your back." said Kai.
"You hardly stand a chance!" said Nya to Lloyd.
"Hiya!" Kai breaks her machine. "Go, Lloyd!"
Nalia took Lloyd's hand and dragged him along. "Come on, Lloyd!"
Lloyd and Nalia makes it to the top of the building and confronts the Overlord.
"We have come here to fight you!" said Lloyd.
"You're in no shape to fight. It's over. Evil wins." said the Overlord.
"A ninja never quits!" shouted Lloyd.
"We aren't going down without a fight!" shouted Nalia.
The Overlord laughs. "You don't even have a sword."
"I don't need a sword." Lloyd surrounds himself and Nalia with his Energy, creating a force field.
Nalia narrowed her eyes as she let out a growl, slowly starting to glow golden. "I don't need a weapon to take you down."
"Then all I have to say is... goodbye." said the Overlord.
The Overlord opens his mouth and blasts Lloyd and Nalia with Darkness, nearly pushing them off the building.
Lloyd looks back at the city beneath him. "Aah!" He looks back at the Overlord. "Hiyah!"
A golden silhouette of a dragon stood in Nalia's place, more visible than ever but not fully solid.
Lloyd's Energy force field grows, harming the Overlord. Lloyd becomes the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master.
"He has become the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master." said Misako.
"This is the Final Battle," said Wu, but soon noticed Nalia's dragon form slowly taking form. "No, it's too soon. She hasn't unlocked all of her powers yet."
Lloyd's gi has changed to a golden color.
"I am the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master!" said Lloyd.
"No!" shouted the Overlord.
The Overlord swipes at Lloyd, and the latter pushes back. Lloyd blocks his wing and is kicked backward. Lloyd counterattacks. He kicks the Overlord, sending him back.
Nalia and her dragon silhouette opened her mouth and blew out a massive breath of blue fire, burning the Overlord.
"No!" shouted the Overlord.
Soon enough Lloyd summons his Golden Dragon.
"Awesome! Two golden dragons!" shouted Dareth.
"You can't defeat me. Where there is light, there will always be shadow!" shouted the Overlord.
"Unless my light is bright enough!" shouted Lloyd.
"There will always be light wherever there is darkness!" shouted Nalia before taking Lloyd's hand and getting on his dragon. Her dragon silhouette faded away, but she was still glowing.
The Golden Dragon tackles the Overlord, and they are both sent falling downward. Both dragons nearly crash into Dareth. The latter covers his head. The two dragons move upward.
"This... ends... now." said Lloyd and Nalia.
"You can't defeat me." The Overlord surrounds Lloyd and Nalia with a cloud of shadow, allowing himself to grow in size. The Overlord starts laughing and attempts to devour Nalia and Lloyd, however, the latter starts resisting. "No! No! NO! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" Lloyd uses Golden Power to defeat the Overlord. The Overlord implodes, and the fog engulfing entire city disappears, with everyone who was corrupted turned back to normal.
"Ugh. What happened?" Kai asked.
Kai and Jay see Nya back to normal. "Nya!" They run towards her.
"My sister." said Kai.
"Nya, you're back!" They both hug Nya.
Cole helps Zane get up. "Come here, you tin can." He hugs Zane.
"Brother." said Zane.
"Is this really happening? We did it?" Julien asked.
"We did it. You did it. I did it! Heck, who didn't do it!?" said Dareth.
"Yeah. But where's Lloyd, and Nalia?" Kai asked.
Lloyd flies down on his dragon, with Nalia passed out in his arms.
"Lloyd! Nalia!" shouted everyone as they ran over.
"You were brilliant, son." said Misako, before noticing Nalia in his arms. "Are she okay?" She started growing worried.
"Nalia is fine, just tired from all of the fighting," said Lloyd as he let the ninjas take her off the dragon.
"Because of you, Ninjago was saved. Because of you, there will be a tomorrow. Along with the help of Nalia." said Wu.
"Speaking of which, if the Overlord should ever decide to show his face again around here, we'll be ready." said Kai.
"And next time, we'll be a little more humble." said Cole.
"And a little more wise." said Zane.
"And with better catchphrases." said Jay.
"What about mangos?" Nalia slowly started waking up.
"Nalia!" Everyone pulled her into a hug, much to her confusion.
"Umm, what's going on? Did we win?" Nalia asked after getting out of the hug.
"Yeah, we won. You and Lloyd totally kicked the Overlord's butt." said Jay.
"It was crazy! One moment we see one dragon, and then soon another!" said Cole.
"Who knew you had that in you!" said Kai as he ruffled her hair.
"You always bring something new to the table when we really need it." said Zane.
"I couldn't have done it without you, Nalia. Thanks for having my back," said Lloyd, pulling her into a hug.
"Always happy to help," said Nalia smiling. "But seriously, I'm craving mangos right now, after that crazy fight."
They all start laughing but Lloyd. Misako sees Lloyd frowning.
"We will all miss your father." said Misako.
From behind them, Garmadon emerges from a pile of rocks and approaches them, limping. Golden Power has purified him.
"Lloyd. What... what happened?" Garmadon asked.
"Garmadon, is it really you?" Misako couldn't believe her eyes.
"Dad? Oh, dad!" Lloyd runs and embraces him.
"Every ounce of evil and venom is... gone." Misako embraces Garmadon.
"I feel good. Aha! It's been so long." said Garmadon.
"Good to have you back, brother." said Wu.
"Wu! Good to be back." said Garmadon.
"Aw, would you look at that? Who would have thought we'd ever see the day? You think we should dogpile them?" Jay asked.
"Let's give them their moment. They earned it." said Kai.
"Yeah, after so long, they can finally be a family," said Nalia with a soft smile before looking up at the sky. "But do I have a real family out there?"
"It's been quite a ride, fellas." said Cole.
"You think there will be others?" Zane asked.
"I hope so. I liked being a ninja. It's not like we have many other skills." said Cole.
"Ha, speak for yourself, I'm looking forward to doing a little inventing, maybe some model-building, dabble in poetry—" said Jay.
"Jay's right. We've come a long way and there's no reason why we can't use what we've learned in our everyday lives. And who knows? We may have gotten the balance right today, but there's always tomorrow. There's no way of knowing what's around the corner. But as long as there's something worth fighting for, there's always a need for a ninjas. And we'll be ready." said Kai as everyone looks toward the rising sun.
"Yeah, I'm taking a break from being a ninja, starting today." said Nalia.
"WHAT!?" shouted the ninjas.
