Mama Blues POV
The night we left the controversial meeting about our roles the rest of the girls and I came to help GW. She was in a state she had never been in her existence. All her life she was set up to be a high lady whom others looked up to and took care of others. She had trained her body, mind, heart, and soul to be perfectly in her control throughout her life. Now that's all gone.
She has a new body now, her emotions are in flux, her mind is in a confused craze, and her soul is unsure. Those were her words as we asked her what was wrong. She was the weakest and someone no one could look up to anymore physically. Still, we knew how great she was and what she does for this team. She was the discipline and business mind of the team, being able to see through business strategies and corporate bullshit easily.
She even matched Mina in business ability. She was calm under serious situations and could control them with ease. Still, she was a person and as she supported us, we needed to support her. Right now her body is in a dangerous state for everyone else. This came out after she almost died in training camp.
Her combat abilities became deadlier and more brutal. She fought like within her was a brutal hitman assassin. It came out only when she was in danger and in intense situations. It was too random and uncontrollable. It was hard to neutralize and she needed to learn to control it.
Still, if she does put it all together I have a feeling she could be at the same level as Steel. We all knew her potential, but it's scary seeing it bloom like this. I soon got a text message as Sweets, Norn and I were being empathetic with GW. It basically boiled down to Gray supporting Tsukasa's plan and trying to get Vic, Spice, and me to convince our groups to support it too. I supported it because it let me challenge records all I wanted.
Norn asked," So what's going on Mama?" I spoke saying," Gray supports Tsukasa's plan and likes it cause it makes it harder for other teams to counter-strategize against us. This also protects the team and gives the team what they want, so Vic and I will support it. Rose respects Vic enough to follow her and Gray is getting Spice to convince the people in his group to support it." Norn nodded saying," Knowing the others Rain and Lily are in as long as they get to compete, ImP and Spice like the spotlight so they're in for sure."
She continued saying," BlaD is in as long as the music keeps flowing, and Jo as long as she finds this logical she's in, and KiWi will follow her there. Honestly, Sweets and I are also in because I like the spotlight and Sweets gets to do what she loves in hitting others legally. The only ones that are the problem are Steel who Vic has to prevent from leaving the team and GW over there who is having a complete meltdown right now. We know who has the power to stop this plan, as she is part of the leadership. Now do your best and convince her not to set this plan on fire."
I soon came close to GW as she was still being comforted by Sweets. We were holed up in a small gym within the base. I can guess Vic's group is outside in an open field surrounded by buildings. While Spice's group and Gray's group are partying at Nara. I ignored my irritation at those girls partying while we had to deal with making sure the team didn't fall apart.
I say to GW, "The team is in support of the idea, and everyone completely understands the situation. Now it's only up to you to decide if this is the path you wish to follow." I bent down and held her, and she began crying on my shoulder. I then convey to her," Girl you're a strong and dependable woman, and right now you might not be completely in control, but who says it'll stay like that forever. We can work at it, we can find a way to help you."
She nodded accepting my solutions and sympathy. Still, I was cautious, I held her arms and her body down, while Norn, and Sweets watched her at certain distances ready to act if necessary. We even had security watching on camera to make sure she didn't truly lose control. The room was now surrounded by armed security ready to throw in sleeping gas if necessary. Still, the night went on.
Nowadays, the days passed and eventually we all agreed with the plan. GW was now training hard daily to control her abilities. Mina is hiring Uma Musume mediums and experts to assist her. I don't know the details but Jo, Vic, and KiWi for some odd reason were watching over her along with some of the heads. While Steel is studying strategies, defensive strategies, and how to stop counter-strategies. She was working hard to get on the field.
Hachi was directing everyone to their necessary medical checkups and getting necessary shots. While also guiding us on what we need to pack and what we're not allowed to bring. Hana is securing our newly created social media accounts and making sure we're safe on the internet. We even now have burner accounts and private accounts and email addresses. While Ana is transporting gear and supplies we need with Iguro and Takeshi.
Everything was about to be transported there with the staff and us. Now I have decided to do some research myself on what records I want to break. You know what they say, chasing two rabbits at once leads to failure of getting either one or something. I narrowed down on my target by removing the unnecessary and honing in. I know I wasn't going for non-speed records so I removed those.
Then I decided relay speed records were a team effort that we as a team needed to tackle together. That's why I put that to discuss with my team later. Then I put aside obstacle races for when I have to tackle them or when I feel I'm good enough to do them. I am not strategically great and I accept it and am now working on it, and I am not as great at violence as the others so I'm out. My starting position on the team outside of relays is short turf, but I can substitute for races on flat races.
Now my first target is the short-distance turf flat record. In the world of Sprinters this means no mistakes, no setbacks, and run as fast as possible. This is the fastest track and the fastest record on time. Breaking it makes you the fastest in the league, but I looked at the fastest record set on it ever, so I aimed for that but better. I told my team my first goal and they supported me.
Tsukasa though was confused, and it made me scared he didn't support it until he asked," On what level, Opens, Minors, Super Minors, Majors, Super Majors, or Premier?" I was relieved and told him," Yes." Yuto smiled beside him and soon laughed out loud and Tsukasa nodded looking proud. They soon began helping me by helping me prep and putting me in if the race is available. Which is understandable as the tournament decides what races they'll have as long as it meets league rules.
Which tournaments organizers can also decide if they announce the races ahead of time so teams can prepare and have some of the best performances. They can also decide to reveal each race throughout the tournament one after the other to make it more exciting and unpredictable for the teams and audiences. This way equalizes preparation and makes rival leagues never be able to predict their next move. Also, it messes with gamblers so they can never have an accurate ratio of bets to make. This is why the Gold family and the FSRL hate each other.
Now the next tournament seems to have announced their races and it's a minor so around 4 races. First is a Turf Flat Relay, and then a Flat marathon on turf. After is an obstacle dirt mile, and finally a relay on a mixed-type race where the track is half obstacle half flat race all on dirt. Which means nothing but a relay for me in our first tournament. Well at least I can break the record on the second leg of a relay, maybe we can even break the grass flat relay record together.
What fun, I might not be able to break the record yet, but it seems I can pivot. GW is also going to be in our team's debut, so this will totally make her happy. I soon started running off towards where she was to tell her the news myself. Totally have to visit Rose and Tsukasa to see if Steel is running or someone else. It's time to break a record, and I am excited.
