Alessia nodded. Though she was tempted to do as he suggested, she proceeded to sign it anyway but she made a mental note in her mind to check it later.
Even if it was fake, it could always be revoked since his signature wasn't on it yet.
"Can I keep this copy of the contract?" She asked him. "I'll give it back to you a few days after I'm discharged…"
Dervan nodded without hesitation. He understood she didn't trust him just yet, and that was fine with him. To be fair, he didn't trust her fully either.
"Of course but you can't let anything happen to it until photocopies are made."
Alessia nodded firmly. "I won't."
She looked down at the document in a daze. 'Is it just me, or does his attitude toward me seem a bit different today?'
'He's definitely acting differently… did he have a change of heart or something?' She wondered, genuinely curious.
Dervan studied her carefully. "Why are you staring at me like that? Is something wrong?"
