Alessia's heart nearly stopped beating as she stared at Dervan in bewilderment, her palms were starting to sweat. 'My… my father? How does he…' She quickly stopped herself from spiraling too far. 'No… I never said I had a Dad, more less who my Dad is… Let's hear him out first?'
She blinked at him. "I have a father?"
Dervan's brows furrowed lightly, like he had just noticed something. "You do." He answered and her face seemed to slack even more. "Although, I can't go into detail now, I'm sure you'll understand when we reach our destination."
Alessia slumped back into her seat. "...Alright."
What are the odds that it was going to be her actual father? She shook her head. No, Dervan wouldn't do that to her, at least not yet.
Soon enough, Alessia noticed that they had started to stray away from city boundaries again but this time, it was as if the driver was actively looking for a secluded place.
