Chapter 56 - Chapter 57: Blood-Red Dawn

"Where do we go now?" Han Solo asked.

Amir was stumped by this question because he felt unsafe anywhere at the moment; the cruiser could appear above them at any time.

"Let me take care of these people first."

The ship left hyperspace and appeared in a remote star system. Amir dialed Ahsoka's number.

A holographic image appeared, showing Ahsoka and Gulina beside her.

"I see you, Amir. The Empire is attacking this star system, so I rushed back. How are you?"

"We just escaped danger," Amir said.

"There's more good news, Gulina." Amir looked at the girl with golden hair.

"Lango found your people."

Gulina's expression changed from surprise to joy and then to an indescribable emotion. "Really, Amir? Really? Thank you so much."

Ahsoka spoke up. "Are they on your ship? Do you need us to come assist?"

"They're all on my ship—just over ten people. The others are still missing, but at least we have a lead now."

"If we're going to help them, Ahsoka," Amir said after a moment's thought, "I'm being tracked. I suspect something is wrong with my body. I would like to ask for your help."

"Tracked? Your body?" Ahsoka frowned, recalling some unpleasant experiences.

"Yes, I need a scanner. I don't know anyone else here."

Amir had just left Coruscant and didn't have many connections.

"Of course. We can't interfere in the war here, but I can take a ship to pick you up."

"I'll enter hyperspace several times to interfere with any signals tracking us. Then, we'll meet at this location." Amir pulled up a remote planet in the Outer Rim that he had passed by before.

"Okay, we'll wait for you there." Ahsoka hung up the communication.

. . .

"So, what are your plans?" Amir looked at Han Solo beside him.

"I'd love to go with you," Han Solo said reluctantly, touching the control panel of the Traveler. "But I have something else to do. Thank you for saving me."

Amir rolled his eyes. "Do you want to go with me or stay with the Traveler?"

At that moment, Amir recalled Han Solo's story.

He used to be a small-time criminal on Corellia, spending his days committing petty crimes with his girlfriend. One day, he stole a core-sulfur.

Core-sulfur was an extremely rare and valuable substance essential for hyperspace drives. Only by applying a thin layer of core-sulfur and activating it could one safely enter hyperspace.

The two decided to use this precious substance to escape the chaos of Corellia.

However, during their escape, just as they were about to succeed, his girlfriend, Qi'ra, was captured, and only Han Solo managed to escape.

In order to save her, Han Solo decided to join the Imperial Academy.

He had been a lowly soldier ever since.

He was still determined to return to Corellia to rescue Qi'ra.

Amir thought of Qi'ra. After she was intercepted on Corellia, she joined the massive criminal organization Crimson Dawn by chance. There, she was trained and worked for them.

Han Solo would never find her there.

Amir decided to do a good deed. After entering hyperspace again, he spoke up.

"You may not know this, but I have a gift of foresight that might help you."

"Precognition? Do I look that gullible? I don't believe in religion or anything like that. The only thing I can trust is myself." Han Solo said, raising his body and patting his muscular chest with his fist.

"All right, here's the free part." Amir pretended to stare intently at Han Solo's forehead.

"The first half of your life must have been difficult, full of struggles and dangers."

"Come on, man. Who isn't these days?"

"But you have someone you can rely on, someone who will support you and help you plan your future."

Han Solo still didn't believe him, but he fell silent.

"She probably loves you."

"She loves me." Han Solo looked back into Amir's eyes.

"All right, I'm just making this up, Han. You look like you're thinking about a woman," Amir said.

"That's not funny."

"Forget what I said earlier. Let's start over."

. . .

Amir fell silent for a moment. He used the ability that Gulina had taught him, sensing what Han Solo was longing for and delving deeper into the clues.

He suddenly frowned. This time, he had succeeded.

At the edge of his consciousness, he sensed an incredibly familiar scent—the dark side of the Force.

At that moment, a powerful dark force appeared—stronger than the Imperial Inquisitors'.

"Darth Maul." The name appeared in Amir's mind.

He had almost forgotten that this dark spirit was still lurking in the galaxy, waiting for an opportunity to seek revenge.

Darth Maul was the former apprentice of the Sith Emperor and the lifelong enemy of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was the Dark Force user who was split in two yet still refused to die. Now, he was the mastermind behind the Crimson Dawn.

Han Solo's girlfriend, Qi'ra, was under his control.

Seeing Amir suddenly grow serious, Han Solo also felt a hint of confusion.

"Maul?"

"Yes, now he's just Maul." Amir spoke words that Han couldn't understand.

"So, you...foresee...what?" Han Solo looked at Amir with a skeptical smile.

Amir didn't want to pretend anymore. He attributed everything he couldn't explain to the Force.

"Your little girlfriend might not be waiting for you there."

Han Solo suddenly turned his head. Years had passed, and he had been worried all along.

"You should be able to find her at the Crimson Dawn."

"How do you know? How can I believe you?" Han Solo leaned forward, but his seatbelt restrained him. He could only stare intently at Amir.

"Believe it or not." The ship jumped out of hyperspace and reappeared in a remote galaxy.

Han Solo sat back down, seeming to give up. He had imagined countless scenarios of Qi'ra being captured and fantasized about countless possibilities, but none of them were as bad as what this young man had just said. Why not give it a try?

Han Solo's tone softened. "Crimson Dawn? Where can I find it?"

"I don't know," Amir said, sending the ship back into hyperspace.

Signals were interrupted every time they entered hyperspace. After jumping so many times, it should be enough. This time, he set the correct destination.

"All right," Han Solo hesitated. "Can I borrow your ship?"

"Don't even think about it."
