The next few days fell into a routine of training. This time, Amir wasn't training alone; he had two apprentices with him.
Compared to the Jedi Order's more flexible training style, Amir's education from his previous life had accustomed him to more systematic and efficient learning methods.
Amir was already immune to it, and 32 didn't care much, adapting quickly. Only Milisen gradually found it somewhat painful.
If not for the constant allure of the lightsaber, she would have snuck onto the Traveler to slurp ice cream long ago.
"Milisen has made great progress." Obi-Wan was optimistic. By the previous standards of the Jedi Order, Milisen would have had a hard time qualifying.
However, Obi-Wan's mindset had changed. He also expressed approval of some of Amir's behaviors.
For example, eating a good meal occasionally, or lying on the Traveler's sofa drinking a strange beverage.
He had to admit, it was quite nice, and he enjoyed it too.
But the premise was that Amir never let these things affect his training. On the contrary, after resting, his training efficiency was even higher.
Some apprentices had once protested against the Jedi Order's dogmas, thinking they were too conservative and pedantic, believing that some emotions and desires should be released.
But this was always the beginning of their fall.
Not everyone possessed strong perseverance to control their own behavior.
So rules were essential.
At least for most people.
Life on Tatooine was lackluster. It was just about which criminal was caught by bounty hunters today, which unruly gang Jabba was going to teach a lesson tomorrow, or which caravan was intercepted by Tusken Raiders.
This had no impact on the lives of ordinary people, unless disaster struck from the sky and they were unlucky enough to be affected.
A few days later, an old friend contacted Amir.
It was Wolf, the red-skinned Devaronian with demon-like horns. He had stayed on Tatooine during this time, researching moisture farming.
He told Amir that he had fallen in love with this place.
The hot climate was not a burden to him; instead, it was close to his home planet, making him feel very comfortable.
Wolf sent Amir a coordinate. He had obtained an abandoned dwelling in a town and was preparing a moisture farm with the villagers.
Amir was happy for him.
In such chaotic times, having your own farm and living a life aloof from the world was actually the best.
This was also what Amir yearned for.
One morning, Amir piloted the Traveler alone toward the small town.
The town was called Mos Pelgo, located in the far south of Mos Eisley. The journey was very long; normal travel would take several days.
But flying a ship had no such concerns. After flying at high altitude for less than thirty minutes, he saw its outline in the barren desert.
The town wasn't big, with at most a few dozen households. The rooms were buried in the sand.
Scattered residents walked the streets. Seeing the approaching Traveler, they were very wary.
The Empire had left a deep shadow on them.
The tall and burly Wolf was waiting on the street. Seeing the ship approach, he shouted happily to the people around him.
"Don't worry, everyone! This is my friend! He's here to help us!"
Wolf seemed to be quite popular here. The people around him stopped hiding and even walked to Wolf's side to wait for the ship to land.
Opening the hatch and seeing the array of people in front of him, Amir felt a little uncomfortable.
"Hi, Wolf. It seems you guys really welcome me?" Amir asked, puzzled.
"Come in, come in." The giant man, more than two meters tall and a full head taller than Amir, put his arm around Amir's shoulder and led him down the street.
"Long time no see, little guy." Wolf also greeted BD-4.
Seeing Wolf's somewhat unnatural smile, Amir asked, "Is there something else going on?"
Wolf just smiled and led Amir into a nearby cantina.
The owner of the cantina was a Weequay with a few tufts of white ponytail. His rough skin and fierce face made people think twice before causing trouble on his turf.
Wolf greeted him and led Amir to a table in the center of the cantina to sit down.
At this moment, the people sitting in the cantina also stopped talking, glancing at the two intentionally or unintentionally.
"Spit it out."
Wolf said somewhat embarrassedly, "I told you I found a moisture farm here. The farm is very good, and I've learned how to plant. But this town isn't very peaceful."
"Tusken Raiders?" Amir thought of what Obi-Wan had told him.
Tusken Raiders had always been the biggest threat to the small villages and towns on the outskirts of Tatooine's cities. These native inhabitants were very hostile to outsiders.
Their already barren land was enclosed and divided by various cities. Massive convoys carrying large armed forces blatantly rushed through the territory of these nomads, not only plundering their remaining resources but also slaughtering their people for sport.
The Tusken tribes, already extremely hostile to the outside world, began to actively counterattack outsiders with special weapons and blaster rifles, attacking and looting passing convoys to obtain more supplies.
"Yes, but not just them. There is an Imperial mining camp around the town. They keep many prisoners there. Imperial troops arrive here every once in a while. It's bad, but the Tusken Raiders are our most immediate problem," Wolf said helplessly. "Mos Pelgo is on the edge of Tusken territory. It's often threatened and attacked. The people suffer greatly."
"After I arrived here, I was peacefully cultivating seedlings. But within two days, a wave of Tusken Raiders arrived at the town's entrance. The residents and I drove them away, but the residents said this was just their probe. We killed their people, and we've angered them."
Amir thought for a while and said, "Can we negotiate with them?"
"I'm not sure if they are intelligent, but we can try. Is there anything we can negotiate with?" Wolf was a little worried.
"How about a Krayt Dragon?" Amir asked. He remembered Obi-Wan telling him about the habits of Tusken Raiders. Obi-Wan had observed this group carefully during his boring years in the desert.
A Tusken over the age of 15 can complete their coming-of-age ceremony and be recognized as an adult by the tribe as long as they kill a Krayt Dragon.
This method is not limited to any means; they can even attack in groups.
This shows their love and awe for the Krayt Dragon.
